A consequence mod for sex, specifically sex with males (it's intended for female characters, but it works well for gay men). It offers a downside for prostitution, sexual assault, or simple promiscuity with men that does not involve pregnancy or wear & tear, although it can be used along with those kinds of mods. Love Sickness resembles a pregnancy mod by creating a chance for an "oh no" moment after sex. You suddenly get unlucky and receive a set of flat debuffs. However, like a wear & tear mod, the more sex you engage in, the worse things become. Conditions and effects are highly configurable, with multiple levels of peril. The net effect could be a minor annoyance (similar to catching a cold), or a "bad end" with little hope of recovery, or even a form of character reset. This mod works as-is with LE and SE (and AE). If your mod manager complains about form number 43, feel free to open and save the mod in the Creation Kit, but that's not necessary. Lore Semen can produce a euphoric state in females, like a narcotic agent. Although it feels pleasant, it comes with debilitating effects. It is an occupational hazard of prostitution, though it does make the job easier. Whores have various names for it. Nice girls call it the "love sickness". Under the intoxicating effects of love sickness, thinking is clouded, and reactions are impaired. Adventuring becomes risky. A love sick gal might just stay home awhile and, oh, have more sex. That's risky, too. Sex while love sick can extend the condition's duration, making it a difficult hole to climb out of. It's a pleasant, comfortable state, with worries pushed out of mind. To make matters worse, with frequent insemination the narcotic component can build up until it reaches an overload point, potentially permanently lowering resistance to love sickness, or even causing skills to be forgotten. Sex workers might find that they've become unable to do any other kind of work -- not that their pimps would *dream* of exploiting this risk. Your female adventurer is aware of these challenges and must try to cope with them. How It Works All debuffs and effects are configurable. You get only the debuffs and risks that you choose. You can set up love sickness so that it does nothing at all. The settings can be changed and applied even while your character has love sickness. If the effects seem too easy or too harsh, just change them -- immediately. Your character has a chance to develop love sickness whenever she has sex with a man. When that happens, she gets love sickness for the base duration. Sex with men while love sick can extend the duration. She would do best to wait out the condition, if she can. While love sick, every insemination potentially adds to her euphoria level. The level decays over time. Its value is added to the base chance to get or extend love sickness. It's a spiraling effect. The higher the euphoria, the more likely it is that the love sickness duration will increase with each insemination. When euphoria reaches 100%, an "overload" reaction might occur. If it does, three things can happen (all configurable): - The euphoria level will partially reset. - The character will permanently lose resistance to love sickness. - She will lose skills, and optionally might lose a level due to skill loss. Loss of resistance to love sickness causes a slow decline. It becomes easier and easier to become love sick. Character level loss is turned off by default so that no one gets surprised, but I recommend enabling it. Otherwise, being near the bottom of a level effectively makes you immune to skill loss. If you lose a level, you'll lose one unspent perk point. If you have no free points, you keep all your perks, but you'll have a perk point debt to repay after you regain a level. Ostim Version Love Sickness uses a single set of files for SexLab and Ostim, so as of version 1.3, there is only one download file that merges changes for Ostim provided by @A|one. The mod checks for the presence of SexLab and uses that if it's found; otherwise, it assumes Ostim. If you have both frameworks, select the one for this mod to use in the settings. If you use Ostim, you won't have access to features related to rape or creatures. Soft Integrations - Arousal can be used as a factor if any version of SexLab Aroused is installed. (The Ostim version works with any arousal mod.) - The mod will count multiple orgasms if Separate Orgasms is installed, but it will handle them all at once at sex end. You should use the default "On sex end" option for when to check. Compatibility The mod works with all versions of Skyrim. The esp file uses form 43. It needs no conversion, but you're free to resave it as form 44 if you're concerned about a harmless manager warning. However, do not create an esl, because other mods integrate with Love Sickness, so the expected form IDs should not change. Skill Loss: It is not recommended to use this mod's skill loss feature together with another skill loss mod IF that mod is configured to trigger on sex (rather than on defeat or other conditions), since both mods could attempt to remove skills (and potentially a level) at the same time. Skill Progress: Mods that change experience gain per skill might cause a skill rank to be "lost" without actually dropping a full rank. Gender: This mod determines gender according SexLab's gender setting. The Ostim version uses "cums inside player". Creatures: Male creatures are recognized as male sex partners, but this mod does not introduce any bestiality. Stamina Level down w/carry weight: In Skyrim, leveling up Stamina grants +5 carry weight. When this mod levels you down and Stamina is selected, it reads the fLevelUpCarryWeightMod game setting and subtracts exactly that amount, so if another mod changes it to 10 it removes 10, if it's 0 it removes nothing. [SSLX] Succubus Skill Loss (LE+SE) View File This is a rewrite of the SexLab Skill Loss mod to make more of a game out of SLSO. The mod is very lightweight. I have now added SXP integration so it works with that too. It matches a succubus style character (hence the name) but is very flexible if you want to use it for a different sort of game / PC. Importantly, you don't have to use the skill loss/gain features to be able to use the SexLab Sex Skill Loss feature. Also you can completely disable just the gain features or switch them to loss features. I have made this to be as flexible as possible for anyone that wants skill gain or skill loss events added to their game. [SE USERS] Perk debt feature does not work on SE. If you lose a level and regain it, you will have an extra perk point above what you would normally have at that level. [MODDERS] You can now use this mods skill loss and gain functionality by sending a simple mod event. There is examples of this below under "By SendModEvent [MODDERS]". So how this version works is... On Sex End - You will GAIN skills on sex end ONLY IF CONSENSUAL AND YOUR PARTNER HAS CUM Gain Per Partner Orgasm - You will GAIN skills on partners orgasm ONLY IF CONSENSUAL AND HIGH ENOUGH ENJOYMENT WHEN THEY CUM NOTE: Works with group and creature scenes. Loss Per Orgasm - You will lose skills when your character orgasms ONLY IF YOU ARE VICTIM. SexLab Sex Skill Loss - With this enabled, you will lose SexLab sex skills from rape. This only applies to oral, anal and vaginal types. ONLY IF YOU ARE VICTIM. SLSO Player Succubus Addon - You will GAIN skills on drain - You will GAIN skills on drain kill NOTE: Patch is required for PSA that is in downloads (SLSO_PSA_SSLX Patch) SexLab Defeat - You will lose skills when defeat triggers post rape scenario. Prison Overhaul Patched - You will lose skills every X hours in prison (only works with POP but not required) Whipping (Punishing Lashes) - You will lose skills per whip received. This should act on all whipping from all mods. - Scaling whipping skill loss to Punishing Lashes whipping injury level. SexLab Survival - Cum Addition - You can set to lose X skills every X seconds while cum addicted and ravenous. iNeed - You can set to lose X skills every X hours while starving, dehydrated and/or fatigued. You can enable/disable any of the above and alter the amount of skills lost per event, as with previous versions. By SendModEvent [MODDERS] - The mod now listens for a SendModEvent that can be used to trigger skill loss or gain, it also takes a string for notification. It's super easy to use, see spoiler text below if you want to use this. Other features: With SXP, you can set to lose SXP experience instead of levels. There is a debt that is stored when you go below 0. Experience gains through SXP itself or this mod will be reduced by the debt. No longer gain SexLab sex levels/stats (Vaginal, Anal, Oral) from being raped (non-configurable). You lose experience when you lose skills, and gain experience from skill gain. This is at the correct rate in vanilla but other mods editing experience/stat gain may mess this up. You lose H/M/S when you lose a level. This is chosen randomly, but weighted so your more likely to lose higher stat. If you lose stamina, you lose appropriate carry weight. This feature uses INI settings so if you use something like SkyTweak keep that in mind. You can lose levels and there is a perk debt feature when you regain a level, it will take the perk so you don't have 1 extra. Skill MCM menu where you can choose what skills you want to disable gain/loss. Skill increments below 1, the loss/gain is applied when you accrue 1 or -1 in a new float. Key set in MCM to report SexLab stats. Key set in MCM you can use to switch between victim/consensual in the current animation. This is for mods that don't tag animations properly, I was considering not adding this feature because it can easily be abused. If you don't have mods that incorrectly tag you as victim in animations etc, I would leave the key unset. Sound effect from skill gain and loss. Option "Always lose from sex" to switch consensual scene gains to losses. Changes/fixes from SexLab Skill Loss not mentioned above: PSQxSLSOxSLA PATCH: I have added a patch for PSQ to the file downloads. This is the same as the PSQxSLSO patch except I have brought over the SLA arousal tied to succubus energy feature from PSQ Tweaks. This patch needs to overwrite PSQ and is not compatible with PSQ Tweaks. To use the arousal bound to energy feature, you need to lock your characters arousal gain in SLA/SLAX. PSQxSLSOxSLA - Light PATCH (RECOMMENDED) This is what I use, same as above (PSQxSLSOxSLA) but you will no longer drain health and stamina from your sex partners (and no longer kill them even if you turn the setting on in MCM) .If you are using PSQ just install one of the 3 patches depending on your preference. The PSQxSLSO patch is available on SLSOs page. PSQ Tweaks The other option is to use PSQ Tweaks and disable the drain functionality. It won't work with SLSO or any of the patches so you will need SexLab Survival to regain energy. Use alternative energy mode if you do use this as you will not be able to gain Succubus levels in PSQ. The main goal is to make the dragonborne 'feel' unaccustomed to their swapped form. It's display in heavy skill debuffs that get progressively less the higher the players level gets and they cease fully at level 40. --- MECHANICS --- BUGS I really hope there are no major bugs when reaching high levels. I did some field testing at lower levels and the math seems to work, but more playtesting is needed. Feedback is always welcome! This is a rewrite of the SexLab Skill Loss mod to make more of a game out of SLSO. The mod is very lightweight. I have now added SXP integration so it works with that too. It matches a succubus style character (hence the name) but is very flexible if you want to use it for a different sort of game / PC. Importantly, you don't have to use the skill loss/gain features to be able to use the SexLab Sex Skill Loss feature. Also you can completely disable just the gain features or switch them to loss features. I have made this to be as flexible as possible for anyone that wants skill gain or skill loss events added to their game. [SE USERS] Perk debt feature does not work on SE. If you lose a level and regain it, you will have an extra perk point above what you would normally have at that level. [MODDERS] You can now use this mods skill loss and gain functionality by sending a simple mod event. There is examples of this below under "By SendModEvent [MODDERS]". So how this version works is... On Sex End - You will GAIN skills on sex end ONLY IF CONSENSUAL AND YOUR PARTNER HAS CUM Gain Per Partner Orgasm - You will GAIN skills on partners orgasm ONLY IF CONSENSUAL AND HIGH ENOUGH ENJOYMENT WHEN THEY CUM NOTE: Works with group and creature scenes. Loss Per Orgasm - You will lose skills when your character orgasms ONLY IF YOU ARE VICTIM. SexLab Sex Skill Loss - With this enabled, you will lose SexLab sex skills from rape. This only applies to oral, anal and vaginal types. ONLY IF YOU ARE VICTIM. SLSO Player Succubus Addon - You will GAIN skills on drain - You will GAIN skills on drain kill NOTE: Patch is required for PSA that is in downloads (SLSO_PSA_SSLX Patch) SexLab Defeat - You will lose skills when defeat triggers post rape scenario. Prison Overhaul Patched - You will lose skills every X hours in prison (only works with POP but not required) Whipping (Punishing Lashes) - You will lose skills per whip received. This should act on all whipping from all mods. - Scaling whipping skill loss to Punishing Lashes whipping injury level. SexLab Survival - Cum Addition - You can set to lose X skills every X seconds while cum addicted and ravenous. iNeed - You can set to lose X skills every X hours while starving, dehydrated and/or fatigued. You can enable/disable any of the above and alter the amount of skills lost per event, as with previous versions. By SendModEvent [MODDERS] - The mod now listens for a SendModEvent that can be used to trigger skill loss or gain, it also takes a string for notification. It's super easy to use, see spoiler text below if you want to use this. Other features: With SXP, you can set to lose SXP experience instead of levels. There is a debt that is stored when you go below 0. Experience gains through SXP itself or this mod will be reduced by the debt. No longer gain SexLab sex levels/stats (Vaginal, Anal, Oral) from being raped (non-configurable). You lose experience when you lose skills, and gain experience from skill gain. This is at the correct rate in vanilla but other mods editing experience/stat gain may mess this up. You lose H/M/S when you lose a level. This is chosen randomly, but weighted so your more likely to lose higher stat. If you lose stamina, you lose appropriate carry weight. This feature uses INI settings so if you use something like SkyTweak keep that in mind. You can lose levels and there is a perk debt feature when you regain a level, it will take the perk so you don't have 1 extra. Skill MCM menu where you can choose what skills you want to disable gain/loss. Skill increments below 1, the loss/gain is applied when you accrue 1 or -1 in a new float. Key set in MCM to report SexLab stats. Key set in MCM you can use to switch between victim/consensual in the current animation. This is for mods that don't tag animations properly, I was considering not adding this feature because it can easily be abused. If you don't have mods that incorrectly tag you as victim in animations etc, I would leave the key unset. Sound effect from skill gain and loss. Option "Always lose from sex" to switch consensual scene gains to losses. Changes/fixes from SexLab Skill Loss not mentioned above: PSQxSLSOxSLA PATCH: I have added a patch for PSQ to the file downloads. This is the same as the PSQxSLSO patch except I have brought over the SLA arousal tied to succubus energy feature from PSQ Tweaks. This patch needs to overwrite PSQ and is not compatible with PSQ Tweaks. To use the arousal bound to energy feature, you need to lock your characters arousal gain in SLA/SLAX. PSQxSLSOxSLA - Light PATCH (RECOMMENDED) This is what I use, same as above (PSQxSLSOxSLA) but you will no longer drain health and stamina from your sex partners (and no longer kill them even if you turn the setting on in MCM) .If you are using PSQ just install one of the 3 patches depending on your preference. The PSQxSLSO patch is available on SLSOs page. PSQ Tweaks The other option is to use PSQ Tweaks and disable the drain functionality. It won't work with SLSO or any of the patches so you will need SexLab Survival to regain energy. Use alternative energy mode if you do use this as you will not be able to gain Succubus levels in PSQ. Requirements: SexLab Framework Optional mods: Prison Overhaul Patched Defeat SLSO Player Succubus Addon (Requires patch SLSO_PSA_SSLX patch from downloads) SLSO (Essential for best usage) I recommend you turn off female orgasm bonus and multi-orgasm to low setting OR set your skill loss from orgasm in SSLX to a low amount. Play around with the settings and get this working how you like. THIS MOD DOESN'T WORK FOR SURVIVAL MODE! It's due to the carryweight changes. I could make a version without these if there is interest.
