Kanutten, I installed "tawoba(remastered)", saw the keyword "sos_revealing" in SSEEdit, went to the game and got "Dwarven Bikini Bottom III" to use for the test. Unfortunately, it didn't work.  When I equipped it, it removed my "sos very bushy pubes", I went into Schlongs of Skyrim and swapped to "sos bushy pubes" and when I exited the menu, it unequipped the "Dwarven Bikini Bottom III".  That's exactly what my “Dark Dream Skirt” was doing before I changed it from Slot 52 to Slot 54.

Too bad!  I was really hoping that was going to work!

Thanks for the thought, though!

The keyword won't work on things that use slot 52. SOS_Revealing is for slot 32 armors.

Hi chuckseven1

Thanks for clearing this up.

So my method of easily changing the slot 52 item to, say, slot 54, is a good way to have the (previous) slot 52 item and the SoS Schlong or pubes working together if you want to use “SoS AE 1.0.3”:

How I changed “Dark Dream Skirt” from slot 52 to slot 54 so it will stay equipped while equipping an SoS Schlong or Pubes, using “SoS AE 1.0.3” (I used "Vortex")

Note: I am changing to Slot 54 because it met 2 criteria, nothing else was using this slot, since nothing unequipped when I wore the skirt after changing the slot and most importantly, slot 54 worked!  (I’m not familiar with slots to know if all or how many would work, I just got lucky that slot 54  worked when I was done!)

This is a 2-part process that you first do in NifScope.  (The version I use: "NifScope 2.0 dev 7" from “NifSkope_2_0_2018-02-22-x64.7z”)
And then you do in SSEEdit.  (The version I use: "SSEEdit 4.0.4" from “SSEEdit 4.0.4-164-4-0-4-1636548642.7z”)

To get the path of the .nif file you will be changing in NifScope, open SSEEdit, right mouse on any mod and “Select None”, then search under “Filter” for “dark dream” and when you find “Dark Dreams.esp”, select it and hit “OK”.
Expand “[02] Dark Dreams.esp”
Expand “Armor Addon”
Left click on “AADDSkirt”
On the right, scroll down if necessary until you find “Female World Model”, expand it if necessary, and look for “MOD3 – Model FileName” and note the path given: “armor\DarkDreams\DarkDreamsPant_1.nif”

Exit SSEEdit and go in to Vortex>Mods>”Dark Dreams” and right mouse click on it and choose “Open in File Manager”.  Under “Meshes”, go to the path you found and note the copy the exact path to your clipboard.  In my case:
“C:\Users\(your profile name\AppData\Roaming\Vortex\skyrimse\mods\Dark Dreams-54567-1-3-1631220893\meshes\armor\Dark Dreams”

Open Nifscope and click File>Open and on the top paste the path, then hit “Enter” on your keyboard (Do not click “Open” on the screen)

You will see the 2 you need to change:
“DarkDreamsPant_0.nif” and “DarkDreamsPant_1.nif” (don’t accidently choose “DarkDreamsPants_0.nif” (with an “S” after pant)

Start with highlighting “DarkDreamsPant_0.nif” and click “Open”.
On the top left, expand “0NiNode” and below you’ll see 4 “BSTriShape” names.  (I will do the first one and then the last 3 will need to be changed the same way) (Some pieces you might want to change might only have one, but “Dark Dream Skirt” is made up of 4 separate parts)
Expand “10 BSTriShape” then left click to highlight “11 BSDismenberSkinInstance”
On the very bottom of “Block Details’, expand “Partitions” and double click on the “Value” to the right of “Body Part” and from the dropdown that you will then see, change from “SBP_52_Mod_Pelvis_Secondary” to “SBP_52_Mod_Leg_Left”

Do the other 3 then click on File>“Open” again, and it will ask you if you want to save your changes and you save the “DarkDreamsPant_0.nif” file, overwriting the existing one.

At Open, then choose “DarkDreamsPant_1.nif” and do the 4 changes.

Hit the X on the top right to close, and when it asks, overwrite “DarkDreamsPant_1.nif”

Now  go back into SSEEdit and pull up “Dark Dreams.esp” again and Expand “Armor Addon” and Left click on “AADDSkirt”.

On the right, go to “BOD2 – Biped Body Template” and to the right double click on “52 – Unnamed”
On the warning, click on “Yes, I’m absolutely sure”
Unselect it and select “54 – Unnamed” then click somewhere else to the right to get rid of the choices then click on the one below that still says “52 – Unnamed” and it will automatically change to “54 – Unnamed” also.

Back to the left, expand “Armor” (below “Armor Addon”), click on “Dark Dreams Skirt” and scroll down until you see “BOD2 – Biped Body Template” and make the same changes.

Hit the top right X and save the changes.

Go to “Mods” in Vortex and click on “Deploy Mods” and when it pops up asking to save the “newer file” choose OK to change it.

 Done!!

Hi chuckseven1

Thanks for clearing this up.

I think the confusion comes because when you first equip something using slot 52, both slot 32 armors and the slot 52 piece stay equipped - you just lose the SoS item.  It's when you go into SoS and change to another SoS item and exit MCM, the slot 52 item gets unequipped.

I am not sure what you are saying, but you cannot have a slot 52 item and a schlong equipped at the same time. They both use slot 52. The engine does not allow that, SOS is not doing it.

Right!  I confused the issue mentioning the slot 32 armor.  With no slot 32 armor even equipped, you still gotta change the slot 52 piece to another slot, like slot 54, in order to wear the schlong or pubes and the armor piece together.

(Gonna clean up my posts on the procedure to change the slot from 52 to 54, to remove any mention of slot 32 armor!)

Thanks!

Just a FYI. You can check if your CPU supports AVX in windows here.

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/coreinfo

If you go this route, you need to use the command line.

I've attached a .bat file that will run it and dump the output to an info.txt, all you need to do is run it in the same folder you extracted it to.

The same functionality can be achieved with typing

coreinfo64.exe > info.txt

into the command line/powershell from the same folder.

For the most part, any CPU from intel or AMD made since ~2013 (for intel) or ~2015 (for AMD) support AVX2. AVX512 is currently intel-only at the moment but that may change eventually, and all CPUs from them since ~2011 support AVX1.

See wikipedia for more information.

Hey all, I'm running into some CTD issues and hoping someone might be able to help me out. I believe I've narrowed it to an SOS problem, and since I'm using the SOS AE patch here I figured I'd start here first. Below are a few Pap logs, showing a consistent CTD when npcs are loading into scan distance (I believe anyway, I'm not as well versed in reading Papyrus). This CTD happens as I approach Solitude, and I think the logs are showing some of the caravan Khajiits loading in as the CTD happens. I've also experienced a CTD when any male actor strips, and thus why I'm thinking the issue is with my SOS. Any help or advice as to what I might be missing here is greatly appreciated.

Install the crash logger for AE. Then upload the crashlog, the skse log, and the schlongsofskyrim log.

So I do have the Crash Logger, but the only thing its populating is this line: E:\Repos\skse64\CrashLoggerSSE\src\main.cpp(52): [info] CrashLogger v1-0-0-0

So I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if its populating somewhere that isn't where the author said, but I do also have the SKSE and SOS logs attached below.

Not the logs of the crash logger plugin. There should be a crash log after CTD (filename starts with crash-)...

Do you know where they get created? The mod itself says that same Documents>My Games> Skyrim SE > SKSE folder, but if its somewhere else I'd like to figure it out.

Yeah I've run a search on my whole PC and there's no other files created other than that one.

Install Crash Logger, and then play the game until it crashes.

Then, go to (Copy + Paste into the navigation bar in Explorer):

%USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition\SKSE

and look for a file that starts with "crash-", uploading the most recent one.

Just to summarize again in case I didn't communicate it well enough, yes, I have done all of that. It doesn't populate any crash logs. That's why I'm asking for some help with it, because I don't know what to do if it doesn't. I've done exactly as you said, and CTD'd several dozen times in the same spot, still no logs.

For some reason this mod is setting my cuirass / tops to use both slots 32 & 52 for everything for my females. So outfits like VTAW, etc. won't pair top and bottom etc. Any suggestions?

That's how it's supposed to work. Adding slot 52 is what schlongifying is. If you don't want an armor schlongified mark it as revealing in mcm.

I understand, however this never used to be the case. All slot 32 armors are marked also as 52 which means that sets that used to go together ( tops and bottoms) no longer do. The clear schlongified armors option in the mcm used to reverse when armors were unncessarily marked as schlongified, but no longer does. Considering all of the armors that people have, it doesn't make sense to automatically assign both slots to every chest piece for both genders and require that people manually mark each one as revealing. Is there a way this could be adjusted?

No this was always the case. I did not change the schlongification. Most armors have sos keywords to fix them. Anything that does not say it is revealing get schlongified, that is how it has always worked.  Don't clear the schlongified armors, mark the specific armors as revealing that should leave slot 52 open

Well I appreciate the quick replys. There's a ton of armors that I'd have to do that for. Is there a way to patch the slot that SOS uses to a custom one?

No you can't change the SOS slot. You can use xedit to add the SOS_Revealing keyword to the desired ARMO records. Or you can edit the armor to use slot 49 instead of slot 52.

Thanks I figured as much. One more question and then I'll leave you alone ;)  The mod autoschlongs the armors, is there a way to check the gender wearing the armor before doing so?

No the engine does not distinguish male and female, they use the same ARMO record and therefore use the same slots.

Ok fair enough. The MCM mark as revealing doesn't bypass the effect for me, but I'll give patching it a go. Thanks again.
