Jumping a little late to this but I did some work on the original attempts to convert the Pre-SE version of SOS to SE. I only go so far as I don't write in C++ but I did get the conversion to work but didn't have a hand in the ESL handing additions to the code base.

If this is based on the original SOS code base pre-SE then I know there was a bug introduced in the SE code that could case a CTD when it checks loaded mods. The code would check a list for a final null but in SE (and assuming AE is the same) then it finds a value and carries on until it would finally CTD when you only have a short list of mods loaded. I had a lot of mods loaded, around 240, which allowed it get through the check and only confirmed the issue when loading only the minimum required to test it.

The SOS SE version also had some additional code added that would allow it to check the esl mods after the esp ones. It would then record all the mods into the co-save and load it when loading a game save. I never dug into why it needed to do this though. Going back to the older code would render the cosave incompatible but deleting it would allow you to load a save and then carry on.

Sorry if this is a weird question, but is there a way to make this only give a schlong to some proportion of people, randomly? I'm using TRX Futanari Addon and want to make some, but not all, women in Skyrim have schlongs. Is that doable?

Still crashing to desktop every time I try removing my clothes, despite trying to fix this mod for hours (I must be incredibly dense)

- Install SOS 1.1.4

- Install SOS AE 1.0.3

- Transfer and replace files from AE into 1.1.4 folder

 - Crash to Desktop

I've also tried (older) fixes with papyrus to the same result, SOS is higher in the load order than XP32

Mod options are accessible through MCM

If anyone with more know-how could help me I'd greatly appreciate it!

Thanks in Advance

also there's no reason to replace the original .dll in SOS if using MO2, just have SOS AE overwrite the DLL from SOS.

Ensure that mods are not replacing the skeleton.nif for the characters.

Hi. I posted some questions here before but no one replied so I'm asking again. I need to know these answers before I install this mod again.

--First of all, HOW DO I INSTALL THIS (using Vortex), with a fresh new installation of Skyrim AE (*NOT* updating the game itself from SE to AE)?
The download page gives no installation instructions, and just appears to be a DLL; I don't even know what a DLL file is. Do I download & install the old SOS SE, then download & install SOS AE, all using Vortex?
Do I overwrite anything?
This person gave some very specific instructions for installing using Vortex. Is this required and/or still valid in general? Or should I only resort to this if I encounter CTD when loading?

--What other mods are required?
I have SKSE & SkyUI already. I assume a skeleton mod is required, but which one should I use, exactly? And what about "Tempered Skins for Males"? Is that still required? I'm confused because the most recent update to the  SOS SE download page says "The requirements posted at the top are no longer valid"
In regards to both of these mods, as well as SOS itself, IN WHICH ORDER should I install them, and which ones should or shouldn't OVERWRITE the others?

--And lastly, since I can't remember from my previous playthough of Skyrim years ago, does SOS work on beast races? Because after I'm done installing mods I plan to do a playthrough as a male ARGONIAN and I want my own toon to have a dick too.

install SOS SE, then oevrwrite the .dll in that mod with the DLL in this one. Any semi-competent mod manager should be capable of doing this, though I would personally recomment MO2 over Vortex (there are many good tutorials on how to use it)

SKSE (AE version) + SkyUI probably is all that's strictly needed afaik but that'll just add dongs that don't do anything, so you'll probably want to use SexLab + mods for it and the spiral continues.

SOS should work on beast races, though by default, they're all human dongs iirc.

I've search for hours, and tried many solutions for hours. It's still crashing on me. It usually crash when I sleep, or try and take off my clothes. I don't really understand 100% of what to do. Kinda wish there was a video on how to fix or download this mod. Might just switch back to oldrim...

I probably have found the problem for the ctd when loading a save (for me). The game crashes when sos trys to load addons, when i disable the addons it will load the save and initialize sos but of course only the never nude version since there are no addons (if i save ad then activate the addons and then load the game will crash again). I have not found a fix for this problem. In addition the save i use is completly fresh and only the base dependecies of sos are installed.

Thanks for the reply! So I don't need any skeleton mod installed at all?

*EDIT* Oh wait, I'm installing it now and I see the FOMOD/installer has an option within it to install male skeletons. So that takes care of that HOWEVER there is this one issue that it brings up. It's conflicting with the skeleton from Realistic Ragdolls & Force (I forgot that that mod has its own skeleton). The page for RR&F says to always replace their skeleton with other mods' skeletons. But in Vortex nowadays, you don't actually "replace" anything, rather you're asked to select which mod to load before or after another. Am I right in assuming that in this case I would want SOS to load AFTER RR&F?

(P.S. I'm disabled and I get easily overwhelmed learning new technologies. I've already installed over 70 mods using Vortex and I'm almost all done & ready play, so I'm not going to go try out MO2 now.)

As for the dongs all being human, I plan to try these 2 mods to make the beast races look more natural when... natural: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/185 , https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/186

And I don't care for making this playthrough a really sexed up one, I just want all races & sexes to be nude when I take their clothes off, so I'm not going down the Sexlab rabbit hole. But thank you for the recommendation, that is kind of a fantasy of mine, just not a practical one.

all mods that add or change skeletons inherently conflict with eachother.

assuming RRaF doesn't add or use any new bones, it should be fine to replace with the one from SOS, but YMMV

Okay so I'm extremely confused... I download this along with the original pinned in the adult mod section and drag them both into vortex to upload, it says their is a conflict between the two so I set it so your version overwrites it, vortex says its good now, I run fnis and bodyslide as usual before deploying the mods, after deploy is done I try and start the game but it doesn't even start, no warnings whatsoever. I disable them and the game works fine. Please send help I have no clue what I am doing...

Hey ive tried multiple things but it just dont get it to work like ive said it to run before Sos SE and after but it alywas says no SoS found version to old and stuff

MO2 user here. Like many others, I seem to be having issues. What is interesting is that it works to an extent in that if I have SOS SE v.1.1.4 and SoS AE 1.0.3 active and nothing else, it works.

But if I have any of these:

SOS - Smurf Average Addon.esp

SOS - VectorPlexus Muscular Addon.esp

SOS - VectorPlexus Regular Addon.esp

Active in the plugins list, it is an instant CTD whether I load a save, or start a new game. Which means if I have those unchecked, I can load the game and the mod with that brown underwear on and smooth body. But no Schlong. Which slightly defeats the purpose of the mod.

Edit: I'm sure it must be something to do with the AE.dll and the addons, as if I disable the AE update and just load the 3 SOS addons it does let me into the game, but informs me of the SOS.dll being old. Very strange.

It really is frustrating that one of the most downloaded mods in the history of Skyrim modding (or its ports) have hardly any information regarding its installation or possible problems.

It's true that problems can appear from all sides, but if solutions do appear, I don't think it costs much to edit the main post to help people fix it without having to ask again. And you can see that there is little or no interest in doing so.

I for example, I find the -1 version problem without schlongs appearing, and carrying Google searches non-stop is of no use.

They only tell you: install SOS 1.1.4. the update for the AE and the XPMSE skelletons, not the SOS ones. Nothing, the problem continues.

Really frustrating.

Issues can appear? I install Sexlab on a lot of different PCs all the time I use for testing AE mods for my main PC, and I've never encountered any errors with SOS AE ever, not once. I must have installed it again and again and again over just the past few months. Just the idea of these issues, like esps CTDing the game, oml.

Let me just tell you exactly what I do every single time I reinstall everything on a Test PC:
Step 1: I use Vortex, because the hardlink deployment and just outrageously well-built xEdit and Loot Auto-Integration is flawless; I could write a book about how superior it is to MO.

Step 2: I wipe Skyrim off the PC, reset my registry, go into the Steam Account I have set up for that PC and make sure again that my Steam Cloud is inactive after an experience when I first upgraded to AE I found out my Steam Cloud was undeleting scripts from previous playthroughs which wreaked havoc in many testing phases, and then I reinstall Skyrim AE 1.6+ with the latest SKSE64

Step 3: I download and install a myriad of requirements Sexlab and other mods always seem to require at some point or another. This includes, ConsoleUtilities, MFG Console, Papyrus Extender, Papyrus Util AE, AE Engine Fixes Part 1 and 2, Address Library for SKSE Plugins, Libfire, FISS, Base Object Swapper, MCM Helper SE (1.6), Fuz Ro D'oh 2.1 WITH Alternate Silent Voice Files (Mod# 15109), Keyword Item Distributor - AE, Animation Motion Revolution - Anniversary Edition, powerofthree's Tweaks AE

Step 4: I install the skeleton, I also install the much needed "XPMSSE - Nemesis - Script Fix" and get Nemesis prepared, tear apart some animation mods and slam them into Nemesis PCEA so only my player uses them, install Racemenu, SOS SE, SOS AE replacement. I tend to overwrite these dll replacements manually even after Vortex installs them just in case when I'm moving through test phases rapidly and don't feel like right clicking the mod and checking for file conflicts to make sure Vortex has them in the proper order.

Step 5: I install my own version Sexlab Framework's zip with all of its sound files and texture files replaced and make damn sure it overwrites PapyrusUtil

Step 6: I sometimes install Rustic Clothing too to replace SOS and then I like to right click SOS 1.1.4 as shown in the photo and also make damn sure it looks exactly like this.

After that I make a quick test character and everything has worked everytime.

There's an Argonian cock in this mod..enjoy!

Just out of curiosity, can anyone suggest an addon for (BH)UNP that will work? Tried a couple with no luck, and finding any schlongs that aren't meant for male players or CBBE is like finding a needle in a haystack.

Hey, just found that this was causing an issue for me

Basically, when I equipped a Slot 32 (Torso/Body piece usually) SOS would make it Slot 52 automatically, so this caused other pieces that take up Slot 52 (usually skirts) to unequip the torso (and vice versa)

Normally Deschlongifying armors in the MCM would fix that in Pre-AE, but something about this DLL makes that no longer work (just does nothing

I don't know about DLLs or if this is something you can fix or anything really, but thought I'd let you know, and possibly anyone else getting this issue

(A temporary solution (Temporary because it makes it run slower if other commenters are to be believed. I personally didn't notice a difference) would be to use this instead https://www.loverslab.com/topic/95031-schlongs-of-skyrim-se/?do=findComment&comment=3579762)

Yeeeaahh... this shiz still ain't working. I have to agree wholeheartedly with nebulard about how frustrating it is that such an uber-popular yet also uber-buggy mod as this has next-to-zero installation instructions, especially given that it seems to require special extra installation steps of a kind that almost no other mods do, and judging by all the comments in this forum, half the time the mod fails even when the steps are performed perfectly. (Doesn't help when other people use the mod with zero flaws and then gaslight anyone who complain about the mod having some inherent issues!)

Anyway I initially installed in SOS the way someone here told me to, and it worked. Then I went and installed https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/186 and it broke the game. Either CTD on launch every time, or CTD on loading a save every time. So I uninstalled that mod, and tried again to load the game, but I keep getting the same CTD, so.... I'm guessing SOS wasn't actually installed right in the first place... even though it worked at first.... GODS this is effing frustrating....

Anyway I'm gonna TRY to completely uninstall & wipe ALL SOS data, then RE-install it via a *slightly* different method that one person posted many month back and no one else ever referenced ever again and I noticed it one day when I happened to have the patience to read through every single page of this thread.

**EDIT**

WTF?!?!? Ok so I'm trying to reinstall SOS via the other method and apparently it's impossible??

I'm trying follow THESE INSTRUCTIONS, and I got as far as copying the .DLL, but when I try to paste it into other directory & replace the original one, I get THIS ERROR MESSAGE. WHAT THE FRICKIN HELL? I restarted windows, then closed Steam from the system tray just to be safe, then tried again and got the same error message. I even tried doing it again but then closing windows exlorer completely while the error message was still up (so that the folder the file was in wouldn't be open) then clicking the "retry" button again, but it just happened again! Skyrim was NOT open, Vortex was NOT open, not even a browser as open. WHY can't I replace that file?!?!

I've spent over 2 months just installing mods and I want to start PLAYING THE EFFING GAME! I'm suffering from near-suicidal depression already and I have VERY VERY short fuse when it comes to fustration, and no part of setting up mods all these months has been as frustrating as just trying to allow male characters to be as naked as female characters can. I can't keep going through all this stress. If we can't get SOS to work for me in ONE more try, I'm giving up just gonna play a game in which penises don't exist, only pussies & tits do.

It might be worth trying SOS Lite? That at least worked for me.

As for SOS AE, I have no luck at all via MO2. I've tried creating a new profile that has absolutely nothing activated in it apart from SKSE, SOS and the AE DLL overwrite (as well as SOS requirements of which only SKYUI and XMSE seem to be needed). It is always an instant CTD unless I disable the 3 SOS addons (Smurf, Regular and Muscular) or if I don't have the AE overwrite active (in which case I get an outdated DLL warning).

I envy those who this just works for.

I've gotten this to work for the most part by installing the SE v.1.1.4 and then the SOS AE 1.0.3.7 after that in Vortex. Everything works fine except for one thing: I can't get sliders to appear in RaceMenu leaving male PCs with a microdick. I've tried multiple different versions of RaceMenu including v0-4-19-11, v0-4-19-9, v0-4-19-8, and v0-4-16. Only 4-19x versions work at all, but none are showing sliders. Does anyone know a solution to this?

Edit: Disabling the SOSRaceMenu.esp plugin from XP32 Maximum Skeleton allows you to change size in the MCM. Which is a short term fix.

Thanks for the suggestion! I totally forgot SOS Lite existed. I'll start reading through that mod's forums to see if it's doable.

In the mean time though, I'll give some time to see if anyone can explain to me how solve the problem in this screenshot that I described in my previous post, where I'm unable to replace the SE version of the DLL with the AE version of the file. I really want an answer to that question, which (I think???) seems to be a Windows 10 issue moreso than a Skyrim or Vortex issue, and in theory it might be the only wall remaining between me & getting SOS to work.
