Textures problems with Idgrod the Younger

Hello,

 

I have a problem with Idgrod the Younger. She have a black face, and her hands are vanilla (see the pictures).

 

I tried to export her facegen data in CK, I tried to install a replacer and create one myself, I tried to uninstall Shiva's Hair Replacer (because it includes facegen data), I tried to delete her facegen files directly in the Skyrim folder and recover it via Steam, and I uninstalled The Pure skin texture. Nothing works.

 

Can you help me ? I'm a little desesperate (she's so ugly ^^') Thank you in advance :)

As long as you don't know which is the effective mod in your current load order that touches her actor record, it's pointless to go in the CK.

  1. Find out which mods are changing her actor record
  2. Try to avoid the pointless ones and leave them out
  3. Identify the last and winning one
  4. See if you already solved it by now, otherwise:
  5. This is the one that you should generate the facegen for.

And on a sidde note, your loadorder looks like it could use  ... some more care. If you don't want to do it manually, try using a tool like LOOT.

That's probably the thing that you should do anyway between my steps 1 and 2.

Strange, I'm already using Loot, but when I try to sort my load order, it says that no change is needed ?(I'm using Vortex for modding, I don't know if it's related).

 

I load all my mods into xEdit, and Idgrod the Younger appears in red ? It seems that the conflicts came the most from USLEEP. I made screenshots of the red/yellow parts.

Looks like head nif is messed up. Contains path to not available stuff.

One error in there prevents from being applied. Then a default nif is used.

Like this dds for skin structures only available for male, but not female.

What I have found to be most helpful in your situation is this: in game, get the NPC (Idgrod in your case) in a position where if you hit "E" you can talk to her. Open the console (with an English language keyboard that means hit "~"). Since you have SkyUI, on the right side of the screen there is a note that says something like "mod that last modified this NPC". Make a note of it since that mod is likely your issue.

JordyK's Followers is just an esp that contains 3 script free followers I created with CK. I don't have a link because I don't upload it anywhere. Here the esp :

The 3 followers are Alice, Hilary and Yume. Normally, I didn't modify the others NPC, but you can check it as you wish (but don't upload it please, I made it for myself ^^')

 

I tried to open the console when I can talk to Idgrod, but the note you mentionned doesn't appear :( Is there a console command to have all the infos on a npc ?

If you dont touch Ingord with your mod then start with opening JOrdy mod in xedit and in non player character delete Idgord.

@Heroine HoneyCrotch Okay, I'll try that ^^ Well, I noticed that Illdi in the bards College have a black face too. I don't know if there someone, because I made a new game and didn't visit all the cities, but for the moment they're the only two that have this issue.

 

Is it safe to delete the bashed patch on an existing save ? ?

I tried to delete Idgrod from my file in xEdit, but it didn't works, she always have a black face ?

 

I can verify integrity of game files through Steam, but I don't know if I can do this safely. When I do it, I have the feeling that some of my mods don't work anymore or badly (espacially those related to ENB).

Don't know. In 5 years of Skyrim I've never had to verify files. Can't see why you shouldn't be able to do it with Vortex though. ?‍♂️

Well the first thing to do is to establish whether this is a fact or not.

Yes, you can rebuild it and add it later again.

Alternative is to rebuild it and don't add your followers to it. During Bashed Patch building deselect the follower plugins.

 

The reason why it's interesting to deactivate it now is to check if your follower mods also work replacers and bashed batch tries conflict resolution on them.

 

To be safe just keep a save with the bashed active and make a new one with deactivated bashed patch and check your followers ingame.

Okay, so I rebuilded my bashed patch deselecting my followers, and the issue is still present. So I suppose it's not due to my followers mod.

 

Could it be definitely caused by the load order ? But when I run Loot through Vortex, it says that there is no need to change my load order ?

Should I change my mod manager ? I had textures issues with Fallout New Vegas, and when I changed for MO, eveything worked like a charm.

There are only for NPCs named in your JordyK.esp and one of them is Idgrod.

Confused on this one. The head problem is one thing but how does Ignord have fucked up hands? Or better put, why does only Ingord have messed up hands? With the hands I feel it safe to say its either a mesh or a texture problem but that would affect many npcs.

You're not the only one.

You can't see it in the screenshot because I clicked off Idgrod but her 'Worn Body' entry was to something weird, i.e. custom and not default.

@Grey Cloud Yeah, I deleted Idgrod from my esp, but it didn't resolve the problem.

 

I don't understand either why there is only Idgrod that have this issue. And I noticed very lately that her hands where messed too (I noticed it when I took the screenshots for the post ^^'). I made 10 runs of Skyrim, and it's the first time that I have this problem ^^'

 

What is the "Worn Body" ?

 

[EDIT] I download an other body texture (Pride of Valhalla), and Idgrod's hands are not mess up anymore ? Plus, I noticed that she's not the only one that have black faces. Illdi, Vivienne Oxys and npc added by immersive encounters (especially bards in Solitude) have a black face too. It seems that it only affects female nords, and only extremely secondary characters.

What's this from?

 

You need to look in XEdit to see what mods are doing what to the NPCs who are affected.
