No idea if it will work but wanted to see if I can at least some of the new clothing to work. *It worked got cultist clothing working as well as something about creatureloot, materials, and TSM. **Ima be honest was surprised that Uniform_new works now and some of the missing clothing seems to show up now. Its standalone, like the original. I'm hesitant to convert this to use that mod, as I'm not sure what the standard mechanism is for applying patches is. That mod also seems to distribute a patched game executable, which isn't all that secure; I don't want to force people who use this mod to download "Lua with XPath". I guess I could be convinced if there's a compelling reason.

From what I can tell, this was based on an old version of that mod. They probably have since added updates which make the 2 incompatible. Any compatibility between those mods is by chance. However, in addition to the aforementioned reasons, I don't want to spend time switching to a 3rd party patch format if the Barotrauma devs reject that PR and introduce their own format. Nope, but main part of "Strange Europa Patch" build base on data from "[EA-HI]木卫二萌化计划" classic build from Steam workshop by @事不过三兄TOUMANLIN that he already take this "Strange Europa" mod off from Steam already due to he get reported and @Matias Torres provide us for this loverslab version (Thx a lot guy?) So I thought some part of this mod in our loverslab version may still not catch up with some change in main Barotruma game after last update. 1

Basically, there is a hidden "real" affliction for most afflictions and the visual affliction. This is needed as Barotrauma doesn't allow afflictions to change their name, description, and icon. The performance issue is with synchronizing the real affliction with the visual affliction, which occurs every frame. A solution could be to limit the update rate, to something like 1 per second. That would make the visuals slightly off, but probably should solve the performance issue. I'll try to do that and test it out.

PS. I've been looking through all the xmls but I might have missed it or it's just not the way it works. The reason is that I want to make slight changes/additions like more belly sprites for smoother transition etc.., but I only managed to edit the art but there's some kind of boundary to the shapes (I've never worked with sprites).

However, its not as easy as creating a new texture sheet and inputting the new coords, since a lot of other stuff is dependent on those coords, like clothing. Maybe you could use some of the blank areas in the current texture sheet to put the new parts and add those to the ragdoll? That way the clothes would probably still work and you could add new belly states. You could also just increase the size of the textures of all the clothing as well, but that obviously is a lot more work. If it was me, I would try scripting the process. I personally prefer the old ones better though. I wonder how feasible it would be to add a build-time feature for switching the textures. Then again, I already have features for burst sfx and clothes, which leads to 4 possible build configs and adding this would make it 8. Looking forward to what you do with the textures though, codes all I'm good at lol. Yeah, sounds aren't really limited so choosing short ones is a good idea. I also have a mod build that disables the sfx in the burst state if you want that. The code for that should be in the `content/preg/Characters` folder. If you are trying to find it on the git, it doesn't actually exist, they're generated when the build script thing runs. If you are asking what file, they are in the ragdoll, again (lol). Try to use ctrl+f "StatusEffect" and just go through looking for the ones that cause afflictions. I can explain more about how stuff works if needed. What are you trying to accomplish?

I also have a mod build that disables the sfx in the burst state if you want that. The code for that should be in the `content/preg/Characters` folder. I also used Jaclaw's belly stuff and modified it for personal use. With their permission, I'll upload a version with those bellies integrated. Don't expect too much, I'm not an artist at all. Enjoy!
