Yeh, sorry. It's the weakest aspect of what I have on offer.

 

My unfortunate ethos for drawing the dudes is to fill up the world with background noise. They need to exist in some capacity, but like, just barely. If I were to have ever accidentally drawn a male xenos that someone could appreciate, I will have luck rolled into it. The only extent of depth I've ever given the dudes is, "I should probably draw a couple faceless hentai protag aliens, yeah, that will probably fulfill some sort of gameplay purpose." But yeh, there's probably more half finished monogendered species in the mod than there oughta be. Finishing Update #3 comes first, but this will probably be the last content update for a while. I say this because I'm more interested in polish atm, and the todo list is getting kinda long, I need to catch up on it.

Any chances to get info about species that will be update in new version of mod ? I realy love new cat ladies and slave options, cant wait for new update.

I have tried doing the things other people posted but nothing worked and i cant find mod tools on the launcher.

1. Unpack i mod folder in Documents>Paradox ...>Stellaris>mod
2. check "calcifires_portrait_pack_DIRECTORS_CUT.mod" in notepad it must say path="mod/calcifires_portrait_pack_DIRECTORS_CUT"
3. check if you got chcked in properties of calcifires_portrait_pack_DIRECTORS_CUT.mod (only read). Do same thing for descriptor.MOD in mod folder.

For Update #3, the new slime boys I'm currently working on will have their genitalia change based on what dick traits you've given them. It won't be too in depth. It'll just let you pick between having:: studded, ribbed, bulbus, or tentacled dicks. The code starts getting unmanageable if I go beyond this. So sorry, no dynamic change will occur if you take the multi dick trait, large scrotums, large glandes, etc. It'll just effect the shaft. I've also gone ahead and given the tall lizard ladies the same sort of gimick for their vaginas. 

 

After Update #3, I will say that I plan on doing a redux of the black humanoids with the fluffy arms. They are the first species I ever drew for the mod and are overdue for a glow up. But the major mission is... Back when I was developing the mod in secret, you couldn't pick the gender of plantoid species in the vanilla game. This meant that I literally made them all monogendered before moving onto the next species on the list. Seeing as the game lets you give them genders, nowadays, they need to be given their own lads. That'll be priority one for update #4ish.

Really great mod. There seems to be a unintended close bracket in 0b_portraits_event.txt

 

Error at line: 152 column: 1 file: gfx\portraits\portraits\0b_portraits_event.txt.

Error message says:

Ah good catch. It's super niche, to come across in game so I'll have it fixed with the next major release. No need for a hotfix

Not sure if this is just a fluke for this one game (didn't make another game to test), but Fallen Empire Guardians are missing their portrait.

Another issue I've had a lot is winning battles so an event pops up of the enemies being used, but then immediately get the event where it says I lost said battle.

This update includes...

x5 new playable species:: 5 of which are showcased above, 2 of which are for a new "AMORPHIC" species archetype

  -the new plantoid species will use post apocalyptic outfits after taking the radiotrophic or survivor traits

  -the new slime species will change the shape of their penises when taking specific traits, such as Ribbed Penis or Bulbus traits

 

-giant lizard species vaginas will now change shape after taking specific traits, such as Hypersensitive Clitoris or Prolapsed Vagina traits

-cthulu species will now use psionic assets after taking the Mind over Matter ascension perk
-elf species will now use futa assets (so that they can properly peg their wimpy slave boys) when taking the futanari trait
-fixed roachoid event species and added some extra delinquent variants for fun

-fixed blue event species code that had an extra bracket (hey I'm an artist, not a programmer)

I know this took a while, but the time I have available to devote to the mod these days has been severely reduced. I should mention in advanced that I have not tested this version much for bugs, nor had to time to playtest more than a couple times. Further mod development will continue, but I will be dedicated to only bug fixing and polish at this point. It's been fun, and thank you to everyone who ever donated to this project. The new Overlord DLC coming up looks awesome, and I look forward to making a couple of unique assets for the new enclaves that are coming.

I was just about to upload a new version of the mod when I read your post. All I can say, is that I can't recreate this fault in the current version, and I don't hold onto legacy versions of my own mod to go back and check on.

 

As for the second issue, that doesn't sound like something related to my mod, and should be related to Lustful Void. I can't imagine how mine could mess with that event.

New Aliens look so cool. Good job, and I cant w8 for more arts when new DLC will come out.

 

I kinda only wish for more color optios for slimes and Dwarfs.

Dont be sad You can easily change them to dont have beards :)

 

Just go to your mod folder, then find GFX>models>portraits>dwarf and change dwarf_female_2 and 3 for 1, 5 and 6 for 4, 8 and 9 for 7.

Hey, just got back into stellaris again, and your mod is still my favorite (as well as my Friend's favorite) Stellaris mod out there. I love the artstyle and variety in the alien designs, and it is definitely the most interesting and (most importantly) consistent portrait packs out there. Was really excited to see you were still working on the mod (and had added so much new cool stuff too)! The portraits having variations based off of the traits given to them is SO cool; but I was wondering if you had a list of all species that had variation models (I saw a few listed in the changelog, but found a couple others with variation images in the files and was unsure of the conditions to get a few to appear).

Also, I have no idea if this is a Lustful Void issue or an issue with this mod, but I noticed some weird instances (while using the "director's cut" download) where a few vanilla species portraits made their way in; and that the options for changing which portrait is used for robot pops it only had vanilla portrait models as options.

Again, thank you for the awesome mod!!!!

That's a good idea, I've added a list to the mod description. As of now, there are a couple of species that use futanari assets instead of having male assets. This was a stop-gap solution at the time they were made for people who wanted to have some futa aliens to play with but, now that I've written the code, I need to go back and update these species to have this trait based feature. Other than that, there is a need for a "penis size" species, as I recently introduced a changing "breast size" species for players to use. Which species that will be? I don't know yet, so if anyone is reading this comment, feel free to make the decision for me in this thread and I'll do it. I'm only doing one though, so first post, first serve.

 

I'll do some testing and check in on the code that governs the robot species when I get the chance... Sometimes changes under the hood will happen to the game that escape my notice. A priority for me though.

I know the focus of the mod rn is adding new species, but IMO the default human portraits could use a bit more TLC. Compared to all the other species, the humans are pretty limited and bland. Even a few more things like skin tones, hair colors/styles, clothing, and "extra" features that reflect LV traits like with other species would be much appreciated.

 

Obviously adding new species/portraits or fixing existing ones understandably takes priority, but it'd be nice to add a bit more diversity/use of LV's traits on the default human portraits. While there are plenty of other mods that add more human portrait diversity, using your portraits really helps unify the overall aesthetic of the game, and you've really nailed portrait building/LV trait integration overall.

In truth, I agree.

 

In terms of the vanilla game, regular Humans and their Humanoid DLC friends are probably the most popular species players use. I remember reading a Dev Diary from back in the day that confirms this. Seeing as that's the case, I really ought to put the most polish on the humans as possible, as it would likely appeal to the largest proportion of the game's audience. HOWEVER... This is just me personally here... I don't care much about the Humies. I know I'm in the minority on this, but it's simply a matter of me finding the energy to want to work on them. At the end of the day, I just draw what I want to draw. Though I will say I am an edgy eeeEEEEDGY boy and I will not be shying away from giving all the ethnicities the same slave pop variants feature that I currently have for the species. You can send me my BASED cared in the mail the day that update someday comes. I just don't know when that day will be.

 

In other new. I'm currently focused on trying to get the four futa species I have in the game to be gender complete AND doing the molten species redux. Progress shown bellow.

Edginess aside, it's not really racist if you enslave ALL the humans equally and then gene-mod them into a bunch of cum-hungry futa sex slaves. After all the Romans enslaved regardless of ethnicity and didn't even have modern concept of race. Why not extend that same logic species-wide and go wild with new human portraits with extra fun bits?  :P

 

Anyhoo, the new portraits you're working on look great and I can't wait to see whatever you have in store!

Heya, kinda wondering what kind of mods you use for yourself as you use your own portrait mod! Would be interesting to see, especially since the director's cut of your mod makes many other mods incompatible.

Oh hell yeah, they are one of my favorites; they already look so good but I loooove the changes so far!!! Oooh, I can not wait for the next update.
