This mod is so great with the interactions, that I tend to downplay or overlook the parts I want to avoid or escape out of.

 

Anyway, I really love the mod and will at least try whatever JB builds.

 

Having raiders capture her, and the OB, protectionist as he is, intervening because in his eyes she is too young, makes sense in your scenario. Something like “take her collar off, and if you don't have anyone, then come with us and we will drop you off in town or at a farm.”. 

 

I don't see Norita as a full bimbo either. She starts as a fish out of water but ends up showing courage and a big heart. She's a bit of a materalist because she loves expensive and pretty things, no matter if she's a rich girl or not. Her interest in the Overboss may first be out of necessity (she doesn't want to work on the farm anymore), but as he does, she also gradually realizes that he is more than he appears so the two of them get to know each other better. He learns to be more permissive, and she learns to be a warlord's girl. 

 

Her personality makes the cosmetic surgery quest a damn challenge on how I deal with it in a way that doesn't betray my vision for her.

 No, the DLC is better for that. In this mod Gage serves only the Overboss. The one who plays the companion here is another character.

That's fine. I gave up on wink-wink, nod-nodding JB on "please make OB's proper romance"

So now I just implemented it myself:

-- Available only to submissive Norita (I think -40 or below)

-- Available only to a virgin Norita (it could be either way but I do a check since it makes sense in-lore)

-- When OB asks Norita "maybe I should *** you right now and break the contract with Corsican", if Norita acts submissively (i.e. "Yes, I do whatever you wish") instead of telling her "I respect contracts more than my whims", OB outright ***s her right there and tells her how that would teach her to tease him.

-- He then regrets it (in dialogue) but claims that Corsican can f off, he wants Norita all for himself

-- The portion of the questioning about becoming a "pup" is also skipped because I immediately make Norita a pup (the dialogue is bit buggy atm, trying to figure out why)

-- All the consequent quests for Golden Globes become unavailable, including the Mason's "audition".

-- Working on making the repeatable quests functioning, but got no time..

-- This is acting pretty much as a FULL STOP, similar to when Norita tells to Brett she wants to go back to Vault111. Actions and consequences. Freedom of choice.

 

Which is to say - if I want something, it doesn't mean that's good for the mod. And I also wanted a true alpha-OB for so long that I just ended up doing it myself. I just don't see OB letting anyone near his prized possession named Norita. OB is kind of a man that would have anyone's head on a pike for as much as touching her hair.

 

To be honest, I see three "Full stops" possible in the mod for Norita:

 

-- The Vault111 one, currently exists. Although I think it's a tad too early - because if its function is to give the player a "trial period" of the mod then it'sa bit too short.

 

-- The Dunmores farm one. This is the one that I also thought of implementing, but due to limited time opted for the one I did with OB. This stop would be Norita telling Dunmores "I am happy with the farm life, it's a fair life, a nice company and everything an honest girl could hope for". In which case it'd cancel all "erotic" quests and only leave the Dunmore-related ones (+ maybe the Disciples "protection" quest).

 

-- The OB's "romance" route one. It's the one I described above. Norita becomes a proper OB's girl and cannot shoot porn. There's still a decent amount of content to be had here, like Patti/Dallas' training, repeatable things with Dunmores and the OB home chores and such.

I thought the same thing before I played the other route myself, like, big deal, same quests with a young girl.  Most of my ideas about it  came from earlier versions of NR where you could say things like I was a young vault dweller when talking to Music on the couch in the admin building, etc but it NEVER changed the story.  So my VERY incorrect assumption was that it was slightly changed with different dialogue but the same basic structure so no big deal.

Sorry to butt into the conversation here, but you have to take into consideration that Norita's skillset is utterly useless in the wasteland. She was either a rich, or atleast middle class, girl, most likely heading for college, with several options also indicating she had an interest in dancing, song and theatre. How would she compete on the "jobmarket" of the wasteland? She have no useful skills. Except that she is canonically really hot.

 

The first contact with Corsican is written as a very impulsive thing, and the only thing I would agree to is that is very quick, after just a week at the farm. Would have been more belieavable if it was 3 or 6 months, but still. Yeah, she could be a farmer... sure. But that is a hard life compared to what Corsican is offering. And within days she is too deep in to get out, with Colter and the entire Wasteland anticipating her "debut". Aside from the issue of time, I find it very believable that someone in that situation would take the "easy way", or atleast the initially seemingly, easy way out, when the other option is fighting radscorpions and digging in the hard soil.

 

Now, I'm not far into Norita's story yet, but atleast from the first part I find it beliavable that a high-class educated girl, from a dead world and a dead society, could turn to sexwork when presented with few other options.

 

 

Also, on a totally different note, @JB., I think I found a (minor) bug. I was at the truckstop, and the hooker was blowing one of the guys there, and as I left the scene and entered Oswald's Office I got a notice for the "spit or swallow"-minigame. I have only seen it once, but it seems it can trigger when an NPC is the one actually performing the act.

Well, in my draft he doesn't see her first as a girl who can belong to his harem. He straight up sees her as a kid and says so a couple of times, but he has no choice but to help her since the whole Golden Globes project is key. 

It's not an immediate interest. So the idea of refilum fit well with that concept. Because the interest is growing. 

 

The being chained to his bed simulator sounds good as a story but it's hard to do quests with it.  🤣

Yeahhh, but Nora will probably have a little problem when it comes to cooking the Overboss, a problem that you will have to overcome with console command. Otherwise, it's safe, but the update really puts more emphasis on alternate start, so give that a try and start a new save if you want.

A couple of years ago I asked him for permission but he just ignored me. I assume he has no interest in sharing assets, like Vtaw, another one who ignored me. The rest of the authors I asked for permission were more receptive to me.

Well, we might have different "integrity" standards. And different "difficulty" ones As someone who toiled the fields and "worked on a farm" full childhood - I can say that - first - it is not that hard, especially when everybody knows their jobs, and - second - what the mod portrays is even easier - like - come on, there isn't even any winter, it's basically a breeze! (that stinky outhouse though ... grrr, brings back bad memories). So I am really not convinced Norita would just shoot porn to skip the farm - not if she has some integrity. And if she has not enough of it .. well, she's pretty much the "bimbo" material. That's all IMO. I don't want to bash on Norita, there are great moments like OB locking Norita and Sophie in a room and Sophie pouting "as if we're punished" (YES, brats, you ARE ). Great fit.

The beauty is that you already have the content. The alternative routes basically boil down to disabling said content with maybe some minor blows and whistles here and there to make it a good fit. Like with Vault 111 return point - you just end the mod, that's it. No need for extra content. Player chose it? So be it. Actions and consequences. And god, I love this Vault111 return point. So I don't see why not add similar branching here and there. Again - please do what you think is better, I can (probably) adjust most of the stuff for the local build. If you ever decide to make the OB's route - great. If not - oh well, I can live with the quirky bugs xEdit produces when editing scenes.

I think so. Deleting the first 2 lines about them taking care of the men downstairs and just starting with Dallas's line, Chill out...... flows better and makes more sense. The girls stand up for Norita because their hearing is not damaged from years of battles and can hear the men are happy.

Another one... While training with Deshawn during the House chores it seemed to get stuck in endless-mode. I have to repeatedly enter "SetStage _NR_Chores 660" to move on to the next exercise, and then again to move on to the next after that. I swear I was patient and waited atleast 3-4 minutes the first exercise. Either the timers are excessivly long or it got stuck. And then when I sat down afterwards it wouldn't register, so I had to do SetStage _NR_Chores 675 to move on to the conversation, although that might of course have had to do with me messing with the quest by using the SetStage command.

I tested it a few days ago and had no problems. BUT the ideal is not to break the special dialogue camera (you break it by changing perspective). There is a good chance of hanging if you are not in dialogue camera mode.  It's also ideal to reload before Keyshawn starts his training. Reloading the setstage I don't think is going to fix it.

As far as I can see that mod no longer exists on Nexus, but since you mention it, it's most likely due to that. My mod brings a couple of new recipes.

Can you see the recipe or is it not there at all?

You can try disabling BCS and see if it actually is a conflict. Just don't save with it disabled. Crafting stations are not as bad as messing with the workshop menu, but can still muck things up. So check, open Pip-Boy and exit the game, enable BCS again and carry on.

On that note, I don't remember if you mention it, but if you don't - it's worth adding into installation instructions that any mods changing the vanilla recipes could cause issues. I think Damn Apocalypse changes the meat-related ones. I need x2 Brahmin Meat instead of x1 and since mod only supplies one.. well. Of course, console to the rescue so it's a non-issueto me, but again - if it isn't mentioned already, it probably should be.

It's not like women don't get elective plastic surgery, I know I did because I wanted my breasts to match my frame better.  Just finishing her new quests, she knows how her body and shape could positively help her with wrapping men around her figure.  Just open the surgery center up and have Patti or Dallas go get a touch up without the OB forcing them to, then have the OB react positively to that.  Maybe even say he was planning on making the old bitches they have working in the Nuka Club get dolled up, but after seeing one his his younger, prettier bitches now look even better he's going to let anyone go there.  It would show Norita looks matter, both to the OB, but could also help her porn career and as a spoiled rich girl, one more tool in the arsenal to manipulate men.  That way it can be optional and give her something special like a modified Black Widow-like perk that helps her get her way even more effectively if she elects to it.

 

I did notice one thing post Special Girls on the Norita path.  All the other trainers and jobs are still repeatable, except Dallas.  She is still in the Seven Bar wearing the Gage Outfit on and won't offer BJ training, but I can work at the bar, train with Patti, etc.  Basically after reading the 6.8.1 release notes and the mini-game addition, I realized I skipped BJ training with her and couldn't test all the functions.  I walked in the bar, everyone else is available for jobs/training except her. 

 

Any way she can be reset to what I assume she would still do, prior to the Special Girls or is this intended?

 

I mentioned Mutant Menagerie has a problem with the Night Fever quest on the Nora Route.  I'm going to see if I can tell what is spawned in the area and then see if I can make a compatibility patch to remove it for NR players who use MM.  If it works, I'll post it here, if not it may be worth mentioning in compatibility issues as it does pretty much break that quest.  I can also test with the "lite" version of MM, and it could be noted as well if it works.  My understanding is it is generally more compatible with large load orders, but NR is really the only thing I've ever had a conflict with.  You can get through the quest with console commands of course, but that's not ideal.

 

One final thing, I'm going back to my save prior to the quest to test it quick without VTAW summer, before I forget as I follow my destined path of death and destruction across the Commonwealth.  Once again, just stellar work!!

If Dallas returned to the bar then it's all good.  For the training with Dallas you first have to do the dance training with Patty. As soon as she's done her dance clases, Dallas comes in to teach. 

 

Thanks for your suggestion, I really like it. Let the cosmetic surgery first be intended for other women and then Norita decides for herself if she wants one or not. Thus, the decision rests with each player.

On the Nora route, after filming the propaganda piece for the Brotherhood. She and her clone go for a beer.  The entire side of the conversation from the clone side is unvoiced while Nora's is voiced, so it is kind of weird.
