@JB. Forgot to mention you can add Pilgrim enb in the not compatible list. Its weather part messes with your special scenes for example during the dream sequences.  It will throw out messages that the weather mod is not installed. It basically block the whole screen.

Hi!

Been a while since I have run a modded Bethesda game, (did it with Oblivion, Skyrim and New Vegas) and I got to feeling the itch again.  I wanted something different, so in looking around, I found this, and Commonwealth Slavers, and it looked like something I would like!  I've tried reading up on them, but with so much info, I had a few questions.

I hope its ok to ask about both here, since the author is the same?

 

Anyway-

 

Can Nuka Ride be made to be forced, or does the pc have to do it consensually?   As in, when the eyebot comes up, will it just offer and leave if you say no, or is there some kind of hook where the pc will feel like she 'has' to do this even though she does not want to?

 

It looks like CS and NR are made to be able to be played one after the other.   Would that solve the question above?  Is the way to do that to play CS first, then NR, or can the order be reversed?

 

I'm not really looking to play the young girl/virgin part, so should I just play 6.4?  or should I still play 6.6 for any upgrades, and just pick the Nora option?

 

On this mod, and CS, I think I read somewhere that if you don't want the tattoos you can just not install mods that do that, and it will not hurt anything, it just won't show any tattoos.  Is that correct?  also, would that also make ruined makeup not show up or is that controlled by something different?

 

And along that line, I noticed in a lot of the pictures from CS, the character's head had been shaved.  Is that a hard requirement or can you bypass that and keep her hair intact?

 

No offense to anyone at all, we are all different and have our different kinks and likes!  But for me, shaved head and tattoos are turn offs, not turn on's so just wondering about bypassing those things, or either/both mods.

 

I'm basically looking for a play through that has nothing to do with the vanilla game (done that, don't want to again),   and I want something like this, that the character is either forced to do, or feels forced to do.    This is pretty close to what I ran a Skyrim and New Vegas playthrough like, maybe even better.  It looks great!

I'm being accused of having a bald fetish now :bawling: There is literally a plot reason for my girls to be bald in Slavers, And there are plenty of options in the MCM to configure hair, teeth, damage, and even the mod itself makes it clear that Captive Tattoos is SOFT. But why check it, right? I'm taking Zen patience classes but it's not enough.  It's as if having written a MCM or detailed information is useless. 

 

I'm going outside to smoke something or what. Or maybe I'll rent a porno movie with bald chicks. 

 

In short, run away from my mods. Try Raider Pet or spawn a bunch of raiderss and fuck them all.

I was going to tell you that enb's are not detectable by mods, but I see that enb does come with a plugin, so I'll add it to the incompatible list.

Cool I do however recommend it highly for CS. It adds great atmosphere

 

edit: I the audition problem was just a fluke I got that working. I did find another issue. I am using izzy's patch and since its not officially finished for the latest 6.6 I wouldn't worry to much about just thought I'd show you. During the moddeling session at fizztop this happens. Moving the mouse breaks the camera and things fixes itself.

Bald chicks need love to i suppose, guess a benefit is that facials are always wipe clean with them

 

Know you did it for plot reasons and also maybe as a tribute to skyrim slave run but think the key difference between CS and slave run is that slave run had a regrow option so baldness was never a long time thing for the PC and it was only the spawned in slaves and diamond (if i recall correctly - long time since i played it) that were bald, the other named slaves you encountered got to keep there hair

 

@Pkatt there is a MCM option for the PC to not be shaved and there is also a patch in the optional folder on the mega to prevent the other CS slaves being bald

    @JB. I am really sorry if I offended you.   From what I have seen I think your mods are great, and I 'was' really excited to hear yours or anyone's responses.   I have been away from modding for a couple years and I have looked till my eyes are blurry trying to figure out the answers to my questions.   I mean, there are almost 700 pages of info to look through with these two mods.   I'm sorry if I missed info that is obvious to everyone else.   I know what I want/like, and it takes days and weeks for me to get a  modded game all working correctly, so I just wanted to know a couple things before I went through all that then found out I didn't want to play after all.  

 

Again, no offense was meant, or intended.   I know I like certain things, and others don't like what I like, and thats ok.  I guess I just thought everyone had that attitude.   Your last sentence about try raider pet confuses me.   I thought I was being clear that I wanted forced degradation and humiliation with reasons and a story was clear, not just spawning raiders mindlessly.  

 

@pinky6225 thank you for the answer.   Thats exactly what I wondered, and didn't know a better way to ask, and had not seen it even though I had looked at stuff.

 

If anyone else wants to answer the other questions, I would greatly appreciate it.

The new shears did not appear on the top of the barrel.

After much wailing and gnashing of teeth - using tcl - I located them inside the barrel. Not activatable from outside the barrel.

 

I would suggest putting them next to the barrel, just so they don't fall through.

That looks like the camera si just outside the wall, and break the angle would make sense that it fixes it. Buuut... I've never moved the cameras, but I've seen that in other spots. Personally, I think it's an engine bug that allows the camera to pass thhough collisions.

I've searched for a while for which object he uses but haven't found it. Right now I'm more focused on testing the new Ego e Kziitd framework. This is for the benefit of Slavers and of course Nuka Ride too. 

 

BTW in the meantime you can disable the barrel. Point to it in the console and type disable.

Well, it is ok to ask, just you might not get an answer.  572 pages of support is daunting, so @JB. grabbed some of the most common questions and put them in his write ups to save time.    Anyway, I think this question is answered.

As in being forced, that is CS where you never have the option to just walk away.    NR, on the other hand, assumes.....well...a bit of you having to "fill in the motivation" beyond the usual "this world is a dangerous place, so we will take care of you."   Perhaps this commercial will give you some motivation.

Yes, they are, but as it says in the mod page, you need to have NR disabled, or the eyebot will get killed right away.   Since each of these mods have more than 8 hours of play (I don't know how fast someone can burn through it, so ...that is an estimate based on my play through), you will have plenty of time to enable NR and follow that path as you progress through CS.   Reversing the order can be done, but would not make sense story wise.   Also, they can be played independent of each other as CS was an idea he had while building NR and took some time off to build it....like around NR 2 or so.

Stick with the NR that you get on the download page, it is the one that is the most thorough testing.   6.6 is , as JB's sig suggest, for testers.    However, as 6.6 will be the final non beta version (or it might be NR 7), that is why he is building hooks for people to play the Nora path or the alt virgin path.     Sort of like Dragon Age.

As you saw, Captive Tats are a soft requirement, MCM settings allow you to adjust to the level that you want wrt bald heads.   I turned it off and got the patch to give the girls hair as I prefer it that way and am very happy that JB gave in and didn't force us to adhere to his bald head fetish </snark>.

This mod and CS are the ones you want, if you want a free quality mods that make the post apocalyptic world a bit more where there is no law beyond the borders of your walls.    As for New Vegas, these mods are much more in depth than Tryout and the Lollipop magazine mod series.

Hey @JB. so I've run into this issue related to your mod.

In that it turns out the thing has somehow become a requirement for one of the face presets I've downloaded.

This is before I enabled NR, and this is after I enabled it.

THIS is what the preset is supposed to look like, and it was made about a year before you even uploaded Nuke Ride for the first time.

I'm not even mad (well, maybe a little, but more at how the files got this fucking weird somehow, not really at you), mostly just confused as hell.

 

The way I found out about this is even weirder.

I've been trying to get the preset work with Hipoly faces redux without going all weird for the past day or so, and the mod author told me this:

I had visually different mesh files for vanilla vs Hipoly, resulting in an issue very similar to yours. After correcting the files, the vanilla and Hipoly faces are now feature-wise, identical.

This means there is no issue with this mod or the game. What I suggest you do is look at the requirements for the preset that you are using. If the requirements include a face mesh mod, you must install the correct, compatible meshes for Hipoly as well, otherwise, it will look different vs vanilla.

Having alot of experience messing around with Hipoly head, Oni faces and different skins I have seen all these weird issues. If you get long face or empty eye sockets or the slight skin difference it means the load order for those are not 100%. Also if you using nacx get the skin coloration fix for that. As for skins I use cridow skin it comes with a seamless kit for hipoly head. So its easy for me to spot when the hipoly head haven't loaded correctly. You can just go into the MCM and choose the different options turning it on and off. When it loads correctly it should go away.  Now I am no expert here. It is just things I have noticed over all this time using all these mods.

Hipoly redux actually has brown face fix in it and not compatible with "brown face fix" on nexus. I use Unfair skin mod and seamless kit from HFR works fine with it. I also noticed one thing that allows you not to reload HFR options. Just load preset you want to use -> turn off and on HFR options -> Hard Save. Whenever you load into that save or even when launch the game and nothing changed in load order, HFR seamless tint loads fine. HFR seamless tint breaks when you changed some thing in looksmenu or loaded a preset and then saved. So before save you need to reload HFR.

Yeah its the same with cridow. I don't need the brown bug fix. Its more about the shape of the faces going weird because people uses presets that uses other things like oni cute faces aswell. If you use nacx the colors for certain skins are not accurate. The fix just fixes that not all skins needs it tho but it does not hurt having it in the load order. I prefer cridow over unfair skin because it comes build with hipoly in mind and have a small setting in looks menu that completely removes any signs of neckseams. Makes the neck area look better overall.

@JB. Ok have played through 6.6 on the Nora route bar the one or two issues I mentioned that turned out to be other things causing it. It work pretty much 100% So folks can pretty much start with 6.6 no need to tell them to use 6.4 if they want to do Nora's path anymore.

Great, thank you. I think for the first time it's now safe to clean up the plugin and not have to worry about messed up dialogs. I owe it to the new CK Fixes for sure.

If you want a bit of pre-emptive information on what to expect when doing a CS->NR (with light story-spoilers) this is my experience:

So I did a playthrough with CS->NR and without saying anything specific it is pretty fair to say that your character would very plausibly come out of the experience of CS VERY traumatized, and most likely if not an outright junkie (although there is a path for that) atleast hooked on drugs.

 

There will come a point in your playthrough, after the numbers of jobs are finished that you have set in the MCM (default is 15) that you will be offered a path to freedom, with three options. Stay a slave, escape or be a Big Damned Hero. I would suggest that if you intend to continue the game into NR you choose the simple option and accept escaping. The Big Damned Hero-option doesn't lend itself well to just going on to become a pornstar thematically, and if you don't escape, well, then you're fucked.

The character who helps you will, before setting you free, mention that they have heard that they are looking for pornstars in Nukaworld. You can then choose a dialogue option that you'll "probably do that", or you can go with options like "I need to find my son" or "I'll join the minutemen and wipe out the raiders".

 

I found the option to head to Nukaworld very thematic. Assuming you played CS from the start at this point you have likely never held a weapon. You are traumatized, set loose in a post-apocalypse you know nothing about with no friends, and you have been sexually abused and drugged for months. It's an easy out. You'll have a couple of dialogue options in NR that will reflect your background as a slave. Overall I found the transition very smooth, storywise. Later in the story NR kind of goes in another direction and becomes a lot more light-hearted, but it starts out fairly heavy, although not forced, while also kind of easing the character into their role. Unlike in CS you can rebel a lot more in NR. There WILL be a lot of forced stuff, but the main premise of the mod is that you are there of your own free will, although in certain situations you will be forced into more than what you thought you had agreed to.

 

You're in for one hell of an experience, I'll tell you that.

I have all the dependencies installed but when i leave vault111, duke does not show up. I tried to use commands set stage 1 but it didn´t work either. What could i be doing wrong?

Does the nuka ride MCM show up? If not does the Nuka Ride.esp show in whichever mod manager you are using?

 

Think the most common cause of that is that people select download as zip from the mega when the file is already in a zip so you end up with the stuff being installed in \data\nuka ride\ The actual esp when it should be in \data

 

If you've done that either download again or unzip the archive you downloaded and copy out the zip and install that
