Is there a way to limit how many quest you can skip in a row? I get that it gets repetitious but heck I have started over sooo many times, and still only skip a couple of quests. Have a good day Sir!

I don't think it is necessary. I think the best thing to do here would be to let everyone do what they want.

Another problem has arisen. After the quest with the Overboss and visits to the apartment and studio, Mason stopped responding to the heroine. He just stays silent. Trust games 5.1.7 at the end of the list.

Mason will remain silent until you have no quest for him.
You can talk to the Corsican and ask him if you should visit Mason. The Corsican will say, YES, go pay your respects to him, and then Mason will have dialogues again.

I had this problem too a few times long ago right from a new start without any obvious reason. 

I'm not the one who had the problem, but I would agree to what you recommend as a solution.

Did you play through Commonwealth Slavers first? I had the same issue with DC after a run-through there. Back up and do at least 2 drug deliveries, or wait and ask @JB. what to do.

 

As a test I skipped all the quest to see what was broken/missing and reported to JB. about these things.

Quit skipping quests, why play the mod if you are blowing right through?!

 

@JB.can you put a limit on the number of quests that can be skipped??

Didn't care for Slavers, so I don't use it. 

I did run the mule quests down to two and made sure two were done.

Diamond City gate is the only glitch I got, so it could be glitches are just random.

 

As for skipping all that, new character and I just simply didn't want to play a lot of these quests from older versions again. 

 

Sorry for sentence based seemingly confrontational answers, I just woke up and can't think in paragraphs, lol.

That will open the DC gate again (and will return the marker). I'll check what could have happened.

 

 

 

Didn't work, unfortunately. Gave me the caps and notification that it was completed, but when I traveled back to DC the gate is still locked. 

 

The only thing I can honestly think of on my end that could have caused this is my game was a little laggy when I skipped the mule quest and it crashed shortly after I entered the studio.

 

Oh well, at least I had only done up to Sanctuary in the vanilla game so the glitched game isn't a huge loss. HA

I have thoroughly checked the script and indeed everything is in order. At first I suspected a lag script that may have played a trick on you, but after what you tell me (that you received the notification, the money, etc) I suspect that there is another mod using or changing the reference of the DC gate.

I'm not sure what it could be. I only use two mods that affect DC, Depravity which makes you mayor and a Home Plate replacer. Neither of these ever affected older versions of Nuka Ride, so I can't see it affecting this version. I guess I'll have to just write it off as lag issue and try again and just not skip the mule delivery.

Well, it sounds like your AAF setup is not functionally working. Follow the guide linked below. Verify you have a working AAF installation afterwards.

If that works, verify you have all the requirements for NR installed. After that, make sure that NR is as far down as possible in your load order.

F4z Roh Doh - The mod has recently been updated and no longer has problems with player subtitles.

Is a really buggy mod, sadly

Not sure if it's that buggy with the latest update.

For example: I've had to use "Rikintosh's Performout - ALL Game Textures Resized", combined with F4z RD -> CTD. Without "Performout" -> everything is fine.

 

I don't know why, but I do know that whatever my modlist is, it's fine with F4z RD because I don't use "performout" anymore.

It is worth clarifying that if you use Axary's synthesized voices you do not need F4z Roh Do.

There is only one reason for this problem: you installed the SavageCabbage animation pack without animal support.
Reinstall it, checking the checkboxes to install animations with animals.

If everything works for you manually, but not automatically (via my mod) I can guess that you are missing animations or that you don't have AAF updated. I recommend you this guide, follow it to the letter. 

 

 

And uninstall all AAF patches you may have, except the ones indicated in the guide. ☝️

SavageCabbage animation pack contains dog animations, but does not contain nude dog meshes.

These meshes are, for example, in the Leito animation pack, but if you installed it manually too, you may not have installed them.
Try to reinstall the Leito animation pack with animal support as well.

@JB. For your Far  Harbor stuff, how will that change the original DLC?  For example, Nuka world needed "something" to make the PC want to become overlord, more than "it is a DLC so I guess I should be friends with these raiders rather than shooting them all".  Far Harbor has, imo, a much better story line.  

 

The reason for going to Far Harbor may be one of those "ok do it because it is in the DLC" as I can't think of a way to get the PC there, other than maybe a really lame attempt by the bar in Far Harbor to "provide what little distraction is possible".    

 

As for Arcadia.......perhaps a request from Nick's brother to further his own knowledge on aspects of humanity (sexual activity of course).   

 

As for the Cult of Atom.......no freakin idea why they would, as I think religious zealots and porn don't mix.     

 

The raider factions of Far Harbor are insane due to the fog, though I suppose there is one faction out in the crashed ship could be looking to higher entertainers for a party, but..... do Far Harbor raiders and Nuka World raiders get along?  Won't they see Nuka world reps as threats to their turf (could be another kidnapping scenario, though I would like to see someone other thant he PC kidnapped and the PC opts for "soft" power move of seduction and murder )

 

Bottom line, the PC may have to fight in the enviros of Far Harbor, as  it is not secure like in the way the Commonwealth or Nuka World are.

A mod I'm working on (doesn't do anything with Far Harbor though) introduces backstory on a splinter sect of the Church of the Children of Atom which came across pre-war texts about fusion reactions, and so its devotees practice promiscuous sex (Atom's Joining) and raise money for their church through a form of sacred prostitution involving some philosophies that promote... let's say "dubiously consensual" sexual interactions. Of course, the main CoA considered them heretics, hunted them down, slaughtered their elders, burned their blasphemous apocrypha and so on, but you get the point. It's totally possible to write sex and sexual deviancy into the core of a religion, and that's to say nothing of the sorts of more secret kink and perversion which naturally emerge as a result of repressive religious beliefs. Bondage clothing? Genital torture? Self flagellation? Rape? Major modern religions have plenty of examples of these and more in their sordid pasts and even present in many cases.

It is a juncture of several sub plots and honestly I feel it is very natural. 

 

I don't want to touch Kasumi's plot because I like that DLC, nor do I want to mess with DIMA. All triggers related to that DLC will be disabled. I think the plot of the DLC is too good and serious to mix it with Nuka Ride. And I'm going to use both raiders and some children of Atom too. 

 

Each person goes for their own reason and you must help them. Corsican, Music, the Brotherhood. Since Doberman is the current enemy and he is a " chosen" of Atom, Far Harbor serves my purposes very well too.
