I will check when I get off work on the letter, but I'm almost sure I do. I do use an item sorting mod that has a folder for notes. What I get when I try is eather a blank dialogue box, or the words dialogueedit. Or something like that.

 

I just looked for Nukers letter. As far as I can tell I do not have Nuker's letter. Only the quest to deliver it. I even used ESP explorer and I see no letter there as well. Unless it is called something else.

Assuming you've set the mod up properly, you need to press it a number of times and you'll get a warning of things to come

I've tested with PoS active and deactivated. The elevator floor and gates disappear when PoS is active and I've noticed the sound stops as well sometime. Also on occasion (it seem intermittent) the screen stays black when the elevator reaches the bottom. This can be restored by opening and closing the Pipboy, sound can be got back by saving and then reloading.

 

Maid to Order - (starting the mission)

 

I'll put this in spoilers as I'm not sure if this is intentional or not:

If I visit Johnny and ask about business I seem to get the Maid to Order mission only if I'm wearing the Silver Shroud costume, otherwise I just get the "Not yet" response

 

I'm not sure if this is an RNG issue, or the mission not always firing correctly or if it's supposed to be like that

I'm a bit further in to Maid to Order, is there supposed to be text  on the terminals as all I get is "Download this shit" but nothing appears on screen or in inventory.

Finished the quest, everything worked correctly. I think that the attack on Mass Fusion is a bit of an issue, as that is a high level dungeon packed full of gunners and if someone if using AAF Violate they may find it virtually impossible to complete if a low level character. Maybe add a new location with raiders or set something up in the Boston Bugle where there's only one Robot in vanilla or limit the starting level before the mission will fire (johnny could say something like "come back when you have more experience".

 

The Molerat quest that follows is set in Salem so players will know to be at a decent level before starting it, but there's no warning at the start of Maid that you'll be facing a building full of Gunners with 3 henchmen that don't fight.

 

Great mission, just needs a little level tweaking or warning it's high level.

 

BTW hope I'm not coming across as over critical. This is a brilliant piece of work you've done, so I'm just suggesting potential improvements ?

 

EDIT:

 

There's another dialogue lock-up with Aaron (where it goes into cut scene mode with no dialogue exit) if you ask questions a second time. I have found a quick way out of it rather than reloading, if you go into the console and enter player.moveto player (or the ID of the dialogue speaker) this will shift the player out of the dialogue mode and allow play to continue

Hello there,

Any way of speeding the animations start up process?
So far I started a new game and figured I would install this mod.

Taking into consideration: I do have the XDI latest version of this mod and the mod works.
I do have a nice track of over 200+ mods, but other AAF mods seem to work just fine.
It doesn't seem to be a "game slow" issue. Everything is running smoothly so far even with side quests from this game. (But I'm willing to compromise)

So far I haven't been able to interact with most of the main quest, but I just got to good neighbor. Pressed the infamous button.
But I can't. It all takes too long.
I already went to AAF.ini to remove the walk time entirely so that characters don't take 40 seconds or more to start an animation (completely killing the phase of anything)
But it seems this mod ignores that.
All animations in the "court" take way to long to start. A full 40 mins just to get to the jail, not from animations playing. But from how long it takes to start them.

So far other AAF scenes start relatively quickly from other mods, but for what ever reason it just takes so long for this quest. Not sure if its a thing for this one quest or if its for the rest of the mod in general.
Its been nice so far. Slaves in different locations still don't work. (Though I read in one of the earlier pages SS2 may fiddle with the one at USAF Satellite Station Olivia.
Though it seems to apply for every other Slave elsewhere. not really an issue, just seems to be the case)

I tried to find a solution to this but I couldn't watch all of the pages to find if anyone had asked it already.

I just reloaded a save file. I think I'll pass on that one for right now. I take it that's the main quest mod though?

I do appreciate the effort. I'll still explore around for the side quests. Hope everything goes fine in everyone's life outside of modding.

I think I never got the letter to start with, or using the wrong versions might have been reason. I used ESPExplorer to get the letter. After that I was fine.

I think that location is a set piece for for the end game missions Mass Fusion, Spoils of War, The Nuclear Option, so contains a significant number of Gunners including a Gunner Commander at the end. I had to go in fully tooled up with a missile launcher and a lot of missiles and grenades to do it. A low level character would have no chance to complete it without cheating, I did it at Level 13 and I had to tgm it near the end for the Commander in full power armour.

 

EDIT:

 

I just checked in xEdit and the location is a minimum level 20 and it never resets (MassFusionZone 00084A6F) so I'm not sure if clearing it this early will screw up the main missions later.

 

It might be wise to change that mission to somewhere else and with lower level enemies

 

EDIT2:

 

I had some further thoughts as it crossed my mind that players with the mod Hardship installed could probably sex their way through, so perhaps get rid of those useless henchmen that just get in the way but don't fight, pacify the gunners and have a random chance of the pc having to have sex with a gunner as she passes to reach the device. That would only need one henchman to hand the device to who can be left outside.

 

On a completely different subject, is there a need for all the button pushing and warnings for starting the main quest, might just be easier to put a note on the wall warning of a "One way trip" or "Abandon All Hope...". The warning for Wear and Tear is necessary as that's a real game changer but for the start of the main quest I think most players that install this mod know exactly what they're getting their pc into

 

EDIT 3 Bug Report

 

Press On - After being released after Hard Times I used the button to leave the Base for a short while. I returned later and was given the Press On mission but the door out of Maxim's office is locked (I have the Base Master Key) so I had to use unlock from the console to continue and pass through it.

 

Also, If you ask Maxim the questions there is no exit dialogue and as it's a cut scene needs the player.moveto player to escape the dialogue

Read through the bad ending. But I found It is not quite lore and terrible actually.

Dont think a slave can have the ability to destory brotherhood, railway, minute man at all. Even you say this can happen if the sole survivor is captured at her maxium level. But at that state. She must already know the  brotherhood, railway, minute man every well and will ask them to help to escape the heart cock device. All in all dont think a gang have the ability to rule over commonwealth.

 

One really terrible ending I think is that Maxium give the sole survivor a fake hope to escape his control (through doing a lot of low dignity thing). But she laterlly findd out that it is only "a cat play with a mouse" trick which turn out destoryed her last hope and mentally. Then reach en evitable terrible death for her. 

 

From my personal aspect of view. Mental suffering is more way terrible then the only physical suffering.

When you say reaching highest affinity, do you mean the regular base game affinity = 1000 or is there a separate variable that we need to increase? I'm trying to get Grendel's perk, but there's no event or talk option that shows up at >1000 affinity.

I also think that this organization is bigger than Minutemen at the beginning of the game and can also recruit raiders and gangsters into their ranks. It's more of a "what if" ending anyway.

But I can do other endings, including the one you suggest.

Deadpool Bug Report

 

There's a big problem with location AAADeadpoolGhoulty:

 

Access via the pipe often (but not always) causes a CTD.

 

A bit more odd though is that at times it teleports you out back to the entry pipe after a short time. This also happened after leaving through the exit in that location. I was outside and was suddenly teleported back to the entrance pipe. I then left by the way I'd gone in (where you're gear is stashed and that worked okay.

 

Everything else worked as it should though I'd suggest dropping a hint somewhere about where to search for the note to find Gadget
