Probably working as intended. 20% is your base chance, but since Bandits make their living by robbing people, their chance is 5 times higher IIRC. So in your case 100%.
Check if you still get robbed 100% of the time if the attackers are not bandits. If yes, there is a problem. If no, working as intended.

Understandable... I was just curious never ment to bother him if he was busy. Last year he was super active when Todd destroyed my mod list "upgrading" to 1130 & 1170. He would respond to everything.  Very nice to see out of a mod author.

Aye, he seems to work in "phases", if he is active he is very active, if not, he is simply absent from LL. A continual in between might be nice, but that seems not Nymras modus operandi, for one reason or another. Still better than him burning out completely and leaving for good.

So I don't know if I am either missing something or I have a hidden/unknown conflict somewhere, but for whatever reason I am unable to get the death/bleedout portion of this mod to work. (the surrender key does work and plays out like intended.)

My first attempt at using this mod was in an ongoing save (40hours) where I had previously used SLDefeat Bane version, I uninstalled SLDefeat, saved the game and used ReSaver to clean up the leftover elements. Using the "cleaned' save I installed Naked Defeat, enabled it in the MCM saved/reloaded and changed all the settings for personal preference. To test the mod was working I went to the small cave behind Whiterun and had the bandits attack me, however my character just died without entering bleedout, I checked the console and found that there was no protection enabled on my character. ( I did not tick the remove essential flag at any point of setting up the mod.)

 

Assuming that something had gone wrong on the first game, I started a full brand new game using Alternate start, Live another Life. After making new character, waiting for mods to initialize and enabling the core Sexlab mods needed in the MCM to work on a new save. (Naked Defeat not yet enabled.) I then checked in console that my character was protected which showed up as true, making a hard save point I turned Naked Defeat on, saved and reloaded, checked that it was running in MCM (I had changed a few of the default settings.) and rechecked in console for protections status which now showed as none. To double check that things were working I left the starting cell and got attacked by two nearby ghosts who killed my character causing the game to autoload the last save, I tried a few more times but every fight I would always die with out entering bleedout state (the surrender key still works with scenes playing normally.)

 

I have no idea what is causing this mod to not workfully as I have all the requirements and as far as I could tell every other mod I am using is all working fine.

I feel like I must be missing something very obvious but cant workout what that might be, any help would be much appreciated thanks.

My first attempt at using this mod was in an ongoing save (40hours) where I had previously used SLDefeat Bane version, I uninstalled SLDefeat, saved the game and used ReSaver to clean up the leftover elements. Assuming that something had gone wrong on the first game, I started a full brand new game using Alternate start, Live another Life. After making new character, waiting for mods to initialize and enabling the core Sexlab mods needed in the MCM to work on a new save. (Naked Defeat not yet enabled.) I then checked in console that my character was protected which showed up as true, making a hard save point I turned Naked Defeat on, saved and reloaded, checked that it was running in MCM (I had changed a few of the default settings.) and rechecked in console for protections status which now showed as none. To double check that things were working I left the starting cell and got attacked by two nearby ghosts who killed my character causing the game to autoload the last save, I tried a few more times but every fight I would always die with out entering bleedout state (the surrender key still works with scenes playing normally.)

 

I have no idea what is causing this mod to not workfully as I have all the requirements and as far as I could tell every other mod I am using is all working fine.

I feel like I must be missing something very obvious but cant workout what that might be, any help would be much appreciated thanks.

Afraid, without a papyrus log it will be difficult to find the reason for your problem. The defeat part has always been one of the stable things in ND for me. Sure with some versions things could go screwy after the defeat had started, but it never failed to start for me.
You could try and see what happens if you die from falling damage. Once with the settings for falling damage appropriately low and once with it high enough that the special falling damage scenario will not trigger despite the damage being lethal.
Still, a papyrus log is your best bet on getting meaningful assistance.

How? You shouldn't use 2 mods to deal with essential character, it can just lead to conflict. If Naked Defeat isn't installed yet, you shouldn't be invulnerable. Also you should try to turn it off and then back on.

I enabled Papyrus logging and loaded my save, the first test was with fighting the two ghosts outside the starting cell. After a couple of deaths I quit back to desktop.

Second test was with falling damage, loading the save which I used to combat testing I used console commands to coc to whiterun. Using the console again I set my health to 500 and in the Naked defeat MCM set the fall damage to 50, then used tcl to get high enough in the air to start taking fall damage. I had lost about 200 - 300 health with no events occurring, so I reset health and did another round loosing about 400 health and still no events.

Third test I set my health to 1200 and changed the Naked Defeat MCM to 1000, then used tcl to get high enough in the air to cause lethal damage, my character fell and just died causing a reload.

The only mods that should of dealt with character essential were Naked Defeat and BaboDialogue (and to a lesser extent Cursed Loot) however none of those mods had their combat/essential flag enabled yet. And yes I tried turning the mod off and on again multiple times (which I forgot to mention sorry) unfortunately that failed to re-enable the protection.

To check if there were any other conflicts I first disabled Babo, started a new game, made a default prisoner character and rechecked the console, which showed protection was enabled.

I then disabled Cursed Loot, doing the same above still showed protection was enabled in console.

Finally I disabled Naked Defeat, did the same again, checked console, and still protected.

It is very possible that another mod is enabling protection that I am unaware of and it was only Naked Defeat that exposed the problem, worst case I will just have to disable all my mods and re-enable them one by one to try and find the culprit.

I then checked in console that my character was protected which showed up as true, making a hard save point I turned Naked Defeat on, saved and reloaded, checked that it was running in MCM (I had changed a few of the default settings.) and rechecked in console for protections status which now showed as none. To double check that things were working I left the starting cell and got attacked by two nearby ghosts who killed my character causing the game to autoload the last save, I tried a few more times but every fight I would always die with out entering bleedout state (the surrender key still works with scenes playing normally.)

 

I have no idea what is causing this mod to not workfully as I have all the requirements and as far as I could tell every other mod I am using is all working fine.

I feel like I must be missing something very obvious but cant workout what that might be, any help would be much appreciated thanks.

I have three  possible explanations for what your going through. 

 

1) If two mods handle essential they can cancel each other out.

 

2) In Skyrim if a mod handled Essential from the start of the game, and that is interfered with "Player essential " will never work agian.

 

3) In BOTH Skyrim and Oblivion LL Defeat style mods most defeat mods don't actually make the player essential. The Bleedout is its own feature independent from essential.  If you your game set up in a way that massively increases the difficulty where your character takes a ton of damage then Bleedout won't work until you level up your character.

 

examples:

 

1) legendary difficulty and especially Legendary difficulty with Survival mode. 

 

2) QTK (Quick time to kill) mods where the damage multiplier is cranked to 4X-6X damage. These are lots of fun but interfere with bleedout.

 

3) Mods that either partially or completely unlevel the spawn list so your character is is facing enemies that are 10 or 20 levels above your dragonborn or Hero of Kavatch. Most of these mods will "level zone the map" some will just add harder enemies from certain spawns but the results are the same.

 

Regardless of which of these 3 reasons is true, or if you play with a mix of these three reasons then your character will get hit by an enemy where you recive 1000% the damage of your entire health pool. This will cause bleedout to fail in both Oblivion and Skyrim.

 

If "essential player" has failed you likely need to delete your entire MO2 instance and start a new playthrough after reinstalling your mods. If your on Vortex or a Manual install you might need to delete EVERYTHING and start from scratch. Including Skyrim itself by uninstalling from steam or GOG, and your Skyrim "my games folder" in documents. (This would be true for Oblivion too)

 

If "Bleedout" has failed due to damage levels all you need to do is level up your character to get these mods to work agian. I know on my current Oblivion playthrough MOO made my defeate mods fail to fire until I got to level 4. But depending of what is happening in Skyrim you might need at least level 10 before your defeat mods work agian.

Naked Defeat can work with Bane defeat if you go into SLDEFEAT  and disable "Player victim"... do this at the very start of the game and Never let SL Defeat handle the player. If they both handle the player you might need to "Start from scratch " which could mean starting a new character, starting a new MO2 instance, or completely start from scratch.

Second test was with falling damage, loading the save which I used to combat testing I used console commands to coc to whiterun. Using the console again I set my health to 500 and in the Naked defeat MCM set the fall damage to 50, then used tcl to get high enough in the air to start taking fall damage. I had lost about 200 - 300 health with no events occurring, so I reset health and did another round loosing about 400 health and still no events.

Third test I set my health to 1200 and changed the Naked Defeat MCM to 1000, then used tcl to get high enough in the air to cause lethal damage, my character fell and just died causing a reload.

The only mods that should of dealt with character essential were Naked Defeat and BaboDialogue (and to a lesser extent Cursed Loot) however none of those mods had their combat/essential flag enabled yet. And yes I tried turning the mod off and on again multiple times (which I forgot to mention sorry) unfortunately that failed to re-enable the protection.

To check if there were any other conflicts I first disabled Babo, started a new game, made a default prisoner character and rechecked the console, which showed protection was enabled.

I then disabled Cursed Loot, doing the same above still showed protection was enabled in console.

Finally I disabled Naked Defeat, did the same again, checked console, and still protected.

It is very possible that another mod is enabling protection that I am unaware of and it was only Naked Defeat that exposed the problem, worst case I will just have to disable all my mods and re-enable them one by one to try and find the culprit.

Second log ... let me guess, your Deviously Cursed Loot MCM does not work, or not show up at all?
You got stack dumps in there, a lot, it's no wonder things don't work as expected. Can't say for sure as I've no log for a fight, but fights tend to exacerbate the script lags and you have ND stack dumps in there as well, so no wonder it's not working.

While the stack dumps are mostly from Cursed loot that does not mean it's the source. It's just the main victim. Another script is hogging all the time from the papyrus engine, preventing other mods scripts from getting executed. You will need to find the source, which ... can be hard.

That said, you LO looks like you throw a lot of LL mods in there without regards how they mesh with each other. Slaverun for example will collide with half your other LL mods.
It is up to you of course, but I would recommend you take a step back, look at your modlist and then redo it around a theme or something. Don't just thrust everything you find that sounds exiting into on LO. You can always explore those other mods in another game.

At the very least you should remove mods that overlap in a bad way, like SLS and Slaverun (both are also kinda old, not to well optimized and tend to put a bit more load on the script engine then necessary, although Slaverun Enforcer helped a bit in that regard). There are several examples in your Modlist like that, though most are not as bad or aren't constantly running.

@Talesien Thanks for the explanation regarding the log (admittedly I don't have much experience yet in reading and understanding those types of log files.) In regards to your other questions, Cursed Loot does show up and work in the MCM and was fully working in my previous 40hour game (there is one exception and that is when I click on the debug page, which causes the MCM to freeze and then no longer show the Cursed loot options, every other MCM still works).

While the Mod list might look like I have just throwing any and everything in there, I have actually gone for as much compatibility as possible, as I have a specific game style/story that I would like to play out. I made sure to fully read each mod description and requirement, including the help topics to see what other users might be saying, if I was in doubt of a mod working I left it out.

The Mod list is based on one I had made and was fully working 4years ago (when SkyrimSE 1.5.97 was the latest version and I made sure not to update to AE), with the previous list I was able to complete about 90% of the game before work and life didn't allow me finish, then over 3years of using the same list I would start again before needing to stop without being able to complete that current save.

It seems very possible that how I rebuilt my current List that the original LO is no longer compatible.

 

Thanks to everyone that offered help and suggestions so far, I will keep trying to work out the problem and if I remember to, I will make another post on the possible cause in the case it may be of help to someone else in the future.

 

(Below in the spoiler is my full method on how I rebuilt my current list, it may or may not have any relevant information for my problem with Naked Defeat and I didn't want to have a giant wall of text after my last few posts, so only read if curious. also included will be my vision on how I want my Skyrim to play out.)

Skyrim Install.

 

The last time I had played and modded Skyrim was about a year ago, having time again and wanting to clean up my original list from 4 years ago I decided to do a complete re-install. First I made a complete backup of the game in the case that something went wrong, I then un-installed Skyrim from Steam, removed all mods from Vortex and deleted any left over files still around in Steamapps/Documents/Vortex folders.

   Once every trace of Skyrim had been removed, I re-installed it back on steam, however that meant that Skyrim would be the latest version of Anniversary Edition (1.6.1170?). When it had finished installing I launched the game through steam for the first time to generate config files and choose the initial launch settings, and to make sure the game actually ran and was playable.

   Next I had to downgrade back to the SE 1.5.97 version, the method I used was the Steam Depot Download to re-download the intended version then overwrite the steam folder, I had also changed the steam app manifest to read only to block and future updates. Testing if everything had been done correctly I relaunched the game through steam (no updates occurred, so the block had worked) and started a new game to check if the correct version was running and if the game was playable (everything was correctly working so far.)

   Now that Skyrim was properly running with the intended version, I started the modding process. First was to get the correct version of SKSE and all the core frameworks like Address Library, SkyUI etc and to make sure it now launched from Vortex using the SKSE Launcher, at this stage my testing methods were pretty simple as in 1. could I launch the game, 2. could I start a new game or load my current test save, 3. could I play the game and interact with the modded elements.

   Using the steps from earlier I would add in 1 - 5 mods at a time, depending on what they were would dictate on how many I loaded, especially if one mod had lots of requirements and sub mods or dependencies. Repeating the steps of launching the game, loading test save, using the new mods MCM (if they had any) and playing the game check for crashes. If I did encounter any problems or crashes I would go through the last batch of installed mods, find the cause and fix it until I could go through my steps with no further issues.

   Knowing that Sexlab would be the most difficult to setup, that was my first priority after the core frameworks, and since it had been a while when I had last modded Skyrim, I used this index guide as a helpful reference. Making sure to read all the helpful topics to familiarize my self, I started going through the groups listed in order of the page. I would go through each listed mod one by one, reading the description about the mod, its full requirements and then checking the mods help topic, reading as many of the latest posts as possible (some mods only had about 20 pages to read while some had 150+ , for those ones I would read about 30 pages or until the posts date was about 2022.) If the mod looked like it would work and it would fit in my planed game/story, I would install it (and any/all requirements) then test it in game for about 10-30mins before deciding if I would keep it or not. I did make sure that each mod would have a point in game and it was either compatible with the majority of my mods or that it was playable standalone with out fear that it would interfere with other mods and I would be able to play that portion of the mod before moving onto the next.

   There were alot of mods I would of loved to add, but had to be left out, to keep my new list as close as possible to the original and for use later when I eventually update to SkyrimAE (For now though I want to finish this mod list and game I started 4years ago before moving on.)

   After getting and testing all the mods I needed/wanted from LoversLab, then making sure that they all work together in some way and with no major crashes or problems I next moved onto the Nexus portion of my list. This was the quickest and easiest part of the stage (although "quick" is somewhat relative, as with the time I had available for modding it still took me over a month to finalize all the installing and testing. It took another 2-3 days of building my merged patches to resolve conflicts before I could finally play.) Using my original Mod list as a reference and keeping the same principals I used for the LL mods, I went back through the old Nexus mods and installed/tested/decided yes or no on which I would end up using.

   The goal with my method of mod installing and testing was to be able launch and play the game with out the need for any Merged/Bashed patches, yes that meant there would be unresolved conflicts of game records but that also meant that in the unforeseen circumstances something broke or went wrong, I would be able to disable said patches, remove the offending mod and still be able to re-launch the game with out it crashing due to not needing stable support pillars mods. I can then fix the problem, put the mod back in, re-enable patches and carry on playing the save. 

   One thing I am noticing now as I am writing this out was my testing process only seemed to test if the current individual mod worked and not if 3-4 mods worked together properly, this issue seems to have come from my assumption that the old mod list worked previously. It seems I didn't properly account for Skryim not being a true 1.5.97 version, using newer updated versions of previous mods and trying different versions of the same mod, the biggest example of this is in my original list I used Sexlab Defeat Baka Version, in my new list I tried the Bane version with dynamic LRG patch, which I did not end up liking and hence wanting to now try Naked Defeat which has also helped to reveal problems I was unaware of. Hopefully I will be able to resolve these current issues and give Naked Defeat a proper try, otherwise I will have to wait until I update to AE and build a new list (which I hope is not in another 4years away)

Skyrim Game plan.

 

For anyone that took a look at my mod list posted earlier, you might see a chaotic mess and its very easy to assume mods were just thrown in with no regard, however that's not true (for the most of them anyway, I will admit there may be a few which may not entirely fit.) I would argue that only ourselves know what our own mod lists are trying to do and if any 2nd or 3rd party looked at your own list they will have no clue or understanding on why it was put together the way it is.

   Generally each mod will its own purpose or be part of an over arching theme. For me I have a few core mods which all others are built around/over, with my own theme being brutally unplayable in the traditional Skyrim fashion. I also have a clear Beginning, Middle and End vision on how I would like the story to play out, with all the mods being used in some capacity in those 3 parts. The core mods will be as follows, first is Wartimes, used for the "beginning", second is Simple Slavery, used for the "middle" and lastly is Slaverun, used for the "end". there will be some cross over with each other, but they each have their predefined uses.

   The Beginning uses Wartimes to start and drive the story forward with its primary game play mechanics helping to have a need for my character to still go out and do stuff, however the game will still be localized around the Whiterun, Riverwood and Solitude. There will come a point in the Wartimes story which will necessitate my character go out in search of some much needed gold, this gives my character a reason to start other portions of mods, namely the Live another Life: Unbound, which leads into the main dragon story questline, Helgen Reborn and the very first part of the pre-quest for Slaverun. At the end of my character coming back to Whiterun, she will become a slave of both Slaverun and Wartimes (I do need to use some meta game play knowledge and reasoning for why they are not continuing the Slaverun questline.) Wartimes will be the main quest for the mean time and I will play through it until I reach one of its ends, which will then pass my character off to the middle part of the game using Simple Slavery.

   The Middle uses Simple Slavery now for the core game play loop. As at the end of Wartimes my character will be sold into slavery which will begin any one of its enabled scenarios (excepts Slaverun). My characters goal now is to either escape the scenario or complete the quest at which point she will be sold again and start a new scenario (with the previous one being disabled) This will keep repeating until there are no new scenarios to the picked as the final one will now lead back into the Slaverun portion of the story. Everything in the middle is used as a filler and roadblock for my character as she tries to complete the dragon main questline, but there is a very strong possibility that she will be defeated in combat and end back up as a slave.

   The End uses Slaverun as the final plot point for my characters story, so hopefully she is both strong enough and not too broken through other mods (ie Bimbos, Whorecrux etc) to fight back and destroy slavery, otherwise she will have to resign to her fate as a slave and complete the Slaverun quest. If my character is able to destroy slavery she will still have to save Skyrim from the dragons (Normal Skyrim game play from now on.) But if she does become a complete slave, Skyrim will be doomed to slavery; first by man, then by dragon.

   This is were all the other mods come into play, they are meant to keep my character in a weakened state, either through mods like Devious Devices with its restrictive gear, or Sexlab Survival and all of its features (I would of used the standalone versions of its features but from what I would see there was only the license and Cum parts made and none of its other features had been separated yet.) since SLSurvival also requires the character to have companions/followers, Devious followers ties in both mods. Because my character started as a farmgirl, she has no experience in using weapons and magic, therefore she needs other people or creatures to help fight for her, however since she is not fighting she cant get stronger with out using trainers. That requires gold, but due to her limited ways to make gold she will need to use "other" methods (prostitution) which carries its own risks. This all creates a large circular loop to hold my character back, its not that she cant become as strong as a normal Skyrim character could, but that there is so much more effort needed to be used. I have made all the tools required for her survival available to my character, but at the same time overwhelmingly rigged the game not in her favor.

Any way of lowering the scan radius of defeat for indoor cells lower than 1000 units? I don't want to have half a dungeon spawn next to my character. For example, when she gets defeated at the entrance of Ratway by those two squatters blocking the way, I suddenly have Gian the Fist and a bunch of nameless actors from Skooma Whore skooma den spawn and take turns. I want only those two and nobody else. Yet, no matter if I set it an minimum distance I still get a bunch of NPC's that are further down to appear.

 

Leads to them then fighting with each other, since they are from opposing factions and Skooma Whore's are unable to return to their cell because there is no navmesh continuity between vanilla Ratway and the skooma den.

That sounds odd, are you certain it is from this mod? As usual, a papyrus log might help to shine light onto it.

Does your DCL MCM come back once it became unreactive? Mine never did if I had stack dumps like yours. Anyway, good luck finding your culprit.

Ok, if you play it in this way it makes sense, still keep in mind some of those mods will still have scripts running in the background, even if technically 'inactive'.

Just finished up a small round of testing and I found the cause for the Cursed loot MCM bug, which was due to Menu Maid. After I had disabled that mod I was able to see the Debug page and keep loading it in the MCM after closing and re-opening (Menu Maid was also affecting a few other mods MCMs like YPS Fashion, unfortunately I have 134 MCMs so I need some sort of extender to be able to see them all, looks like I will need to find a replacement for Menu Maid.)

 

Still no luck in regards to Naked Defeat yet and I have exhausted all the obvious potential problems. Next step will be to disable every mod, start from just Sexlab and Naked Defeat loaded and test with just those (including all the base frameworks and other requirements for those mods needed to run.)

You been using the original MM? Or MenuMaid 2? Because the latter always worked flawlessly for me, I did have some problems with the original MM as well though. Still look over your papyrus log and see if removing MM, also removed all stack dumps. If you still got some ...

Ah sorry yes it was Menu Maid 2 ver2.2.3 that I was currently using, I originally had ver2.2.2 in my previous list 1 year ago and cant recall having any problems with it.

2) In Skyrim if a mod handled Essential from the start of the game, and that is interfered with "Player essential " will never work agian.

 

3) In BOTH Skyrim and Oblivion LL Defeat style mods most defeat mods don't actually make the player essential. The Bleedout is its own feature independent from essential.  If you your game set up in a way that massively increases the difficulty where your character takes a ton of damage then Bleedout won't work until you level up your character.

 

examples:

 

1) legendary difficulty and especially Legendary difficulty with Survival mode. 

 

2) QTK (Quick time to kill) mods where the damage multiplier is cranked to 4X-6X damage. These are lots of fun but interfere with bleedout.

 

3) Mods that either partially or completely unlevel the spawn list so your character is is facing enemies that are 10 or 20 levels above your dragonborn or Hero of Kavatch. Most of these mods will "level zone the map" some will just add harder enemies from certain spawns but the results are the same.

 

Regardless of which of these 3 reasons is true, or if you play with a mix of these three reasons then your character will get hit by an enemy where you recive 1000% the damage of your entire health pool. This will cause bleedout to fail in both Oblivion and Skyrim.

 

If "essential player" has failed you likely need to delete your entire MO2 instance and start a new playthrough after reinstalling your mods. If your on Vortex or a Manual install you might need to delete EVERYTHING and start from scratch. Including Skyrim itself by uninstalling from steam or GOG, and your Skyrim "my games folder" in documents. (This would be true for Oblivion too)

 

If "Bleedout" has failed due to damage levels all you need to do is level up your character to get these mods to work agian. I know on my current Oblivion playthrough MOO made my defeate mods fail to fire until I got to level 4. But depending of what is happening in Skyrim you might need at least level 10 before your defeat mods work agian.

Naked Defeat can work with Bane defeat if you go into SLDEFEAT  and disable "Player victim"... do this at the very start of the game and Never let SL Defeat handle the player. If they both handle the player you might need to "Start from scratch " which could mean starting a new character, starting a new MO2 instance, or completely start from scratch. 

 

Number 2 is interesting. I had the same issue as Evelynith and I have Alternate Start - Live Another Life which I'm not sure if it makes you essential but my guess is it does, so I disabled that and started a new game and ND seems to be working no problem now so thanks! Can't seem to get the old save to work but my guess is damage is already done.

Looks like you are using a non-english Skyrim (Polish?). ND is ready for translation, but so far only comes with English and German language files (although the German one is just a renamed English one, not really translated). Go into the Data\Interface\Translations folder and just rename "Naked Defeat_GERMAN.TXT" to your language, for example "Naked Defeat_Polish.TXT". That should fix it.

anyone knows how to make the tattoos work? I downloaded all the requirements (all the newest/continued versions except for the rape tattoo tweaks cuz its outdated) , but there are no RapeHands and WhipMarks in the rape tattoo mcm.

If you are still struggling to get them to work, I will look when I am back home and tell you what I did.  They have always worked for me.

Do tattoos work at all? If yes, did you rebuild the tattoo registry (in the slavetats MCM) after adding the pack from ND?
