Spoiler Compatibility Patches ===================== Starting Spell Choice - ( https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/1997/ ) Compatibility ============= Tested and confirmed to work with Open Cities Skyrim. Known to be incompatible with any mod which attempts to remove the essential flags from any NPCs in Helgen. Not compatible with Opening Scene Overhaul ( https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/168/ ) due to conflicts with edits to MQ101. Upgrading a save when you're still in the prison cell is not supported, never has been, and is a source of bugs. The message telling you to start a new game was added to make sure people are aware of this. Do not attempt to continue on with your game in this state as it WILL cause you problems. No. I do not need to fix anything. You need to break yourself of bad habits. The game instantly CTDs when trying to talk to Mara. Why do you make such buggy mods man? ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Once again, this one is not actually due to something I've done. The problem actually comes from certain OTHER mods that have done dialogue options that cause some problems with "talking activator" objects. Mara is one such object. The fact that you're getting this problem here is merely a coincidence and you'd have run into it again elsewhere, like during the Molag Bal quest. So Mara has done you a favor in her infinite wisdom. The 2 most common causes of this are: 1. Having an old version of the Sofia follower mod installed. 2. Having version 4.0 of the Vilja mod installed. These problems can be fixed by updating those mods to their current versions where the authors have addressed the issue in their mods. There may be other mods with the same problem but they have not been brought to light yet. Don't tell me this isn't your fault either. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Surprise! It's not my fault either. One known cause for this is using a body mod with a mismatched skeleton that's not compatible with it. When the bed is used, your character gets stripped of the prison clothing and your new equipment is added based on what you started as. It is this process that causes the issue when a skeleton mod that doesn't match the body is used. Something to do with bones the body mod is looking for that the skeleton doesn't have. Oddly enough, this tends to only happen on female characters. I have no idea why that is. If this just confused the shit out of you, you're not alone. I don't use body mods. The only advice I can offer is to contact the authors of the body mod you're using and find out if it's compatible with the skeleton you're using. Trust me, you'll know if you're not using the vanilla skeleton because it requires installing one separately. Again, since I don't know body mods, it's possible you just need to be sure that if the body mod comes with one that you're using that instead of something else. If you are also using FNIS, make sure to run GenerateFNISforUsers following whatever process is involved in that. Sorry, I can't be of any help as I don't use FNIS myself. I use Babo with Alternate start and anytime I've gone with a start that puts me into a faction such as Vampires, necromancers, vigilants, etc. I simply start an event only for all the participants to beat the living shit out of my character and kill them. Its quite odd.

Skyrim Faction mix is prone to "agro" behavior on NPC, specially if AI is set to aggressive as a default. I'm currently going through a mod list "clean up", and starting with different races and setups. Have not tested starting in a faction from the beginning using ASLA. Will try with AP first. Noticed yesterday that enabling CC-Survival during first exterior walk, disables the HUD including the dynamics fill ones from SLSO and Defeat. Need to redo, to make sure.

Do you know if there is specifically anyway to change the NPC agression to something lower via console. I wouldn't mind testing to see if that resolves my issue as upon further testing, with an alternate start where I started at an inn (Which I assume has no special faction, I still have the NPC's beat the shit out of me during the event) I used to use Babo in the past with none of the above issues and always seem to get them now. It would be nice to be able to use this mod without some strange issue breaking it...

Had the same issue with the MCM on a new game after upgrading to 4.902 from here and also with 5.0 from the public patreon. 2 things worked for me: Downgraded to 4.711 from public patreon -> new game -> mcm shows up Moving babo dialogue 5.0 higher in the load order, so its loaded earlier. It starts up with 5.0 on a new game and mcm show up, but I didnt have time to test if the mod is working as it should in this case. I checked my older setup where it worked fine with 4.902 and there it was also loaded pretty early basically right after the esm's, so that is probably at least where my issue came from as I reworked my load order. Different story, but I'll mention it in case someone runs into this and searches the forum While looking for the issue with the mcm I noticed I can create a ctd a few seconds after character creation moving babo dialogue below race menu in my load order. Dont really know how they are correlated or if its just coincidence, but I can reliably repeat it with my setup. 5.0 moved below race menu -> new game -> crash 5.0 moved above race menu -> new game -> no crash 4.711 above or below race menu -> no crash From the log seems like its related to menu maid (/skyrimspecialedition/mods/67556) and if I disable menu maid dont get a crash with 5.0 regardless if loaded before or after race menu. Roarke Posted March 10, 2023 Posted March 10, 2023 I've got a bug with BaboEncounter07. If you defeat the thugs, you can keep speaking to the enslaved warrior to farm reputation and rescue points. I think the encounter is supposed to unequip the restraints and make the warrior flee the scene.

After taking it, when you get to the top theres a troll that follows you and then does a back hug molestation. Is that from this mod?

The weirdest part is that sometimes I lose control of the character and the UI disappears like a SexLab sex scene is going to start playing, but then nothing happens and I regain control.

This happened to me in an older version of the mod. My solution was to unlock the MC using the debug "recover control" and directly "talk" to each orcs and select "FORCE GREET" option, only one has the option. Force greet only appears in NPC that are supposed to "engage in conversation" but failed to do so. Sometimes the NPC fail to force greet if the furniture or static objects are in the way or the navmesh they follow to reach you is broken by mods. If the "recover option" do not work, then maybe another mod took over the MC and is blocking babodialogue scenes. High encumbrance because of other mods' deBuff effects may also cause the MC to stop moving. Try other mods debug reset options like for example Sexlab's "stop animations" or defeat's "clean", ZAZ "release ai" or any other mod debug reset options.

It kind of prank\cheat in the troll case, because normally at a low level you can't beat the troll without cheating with healing potions or taking advantage of bad AI path finding logic in the game. Especially if you play with a mod like SL-Survival (not CC Survival) that makes the female of the races very weak when properly applying a bash\smash patch.

Its_LB Posted March 12, 2023 Posted March 12, 2023 Everything is working perfectly except the titles I can't earn them for whatever reason I was defeated by the challenger and still did not get it. Using v.5.0 with SLHH.
bogonistan Posted March 12, 2023 Posted March 12, 2023 love this mod. at least the idea of it, anyways. Ive gotten dialogue to trigger so I know I have at least some part behaving. I did notice there seemed to be some mumbling on the part of the PC - mouth moving. I didnt think much of it until I added the voice pack. and then I heard it: Every few seconds the PC is repeating the same line: "Why are you doing that? please stop doing that" over. and. over. Ive tried resetting the mod. re-installing the mod. I may try uninstall, save, reinstall. I do know that if I start a new game, it doesnt happen. so its probably some encounter I was trying to trigger that got the PC stuck in that mode. Any ideas? Ive looked through many posts but not exhaustively.
