Chronological hierarchy:

PAHE -> HSH -> AYGAS -> DOM

DOM is well on the way to replacing all that came before. And a rich heritage it was.

Yes, of course. My question though was where DOM Stories goes in the install order. The DOM FOMOD installer includes patches for PAHE, HSH, AYGAS, and quite a few mods, so logically it should be located below them in the order, and overwrite their files--hence, the instruction to place DOM last. That 100% makes sense: we users may think of HSH and AYGAS (and other things, like Interactive BDSM) as add-ons to DOM, but from a software perspective DOM is the add-on (all of them were developed before DOM, for other purposes), and placing DOM last in the install order lets @TrollAutokill adjust those earlier mods (which by and large are no longer under active development) to be compatible with new features of DOM.

DOM Stories is another matter entirely: it's not listed in the optional patches in the DOM installer, and it's by the same author as DOM, hence I'd expect that it would need to be placed in the normal position for an add-on, after DOM. I'm 99% sure this is right, but I'm not positive, because of that blanket instruction to place DOM last. I'm also willing to bet someone who has less experience with manually applying patches would be more confused than I am. (The Acheron DOM add-on would logically receive the same treatment, but it doesn't share any files with DOM, so it doesn't matter. Ditto the voicepacks.)

This is a great mod, with an active author who's kind enough to provide all sorts of help to posters in the forum, and who has written extensive documentation for both installation and use. You can't beat that level of devotion. Putting more tips in the Installation tab on the download page, though, would be great: after LOOT (or was it MO2?) informed me that two of the add-ons were no longer compatible with DOM due to the shift from an esp to an esm, it took me some searching to find the needed patches in this forum. Linking those--and providing the proper install order for DOM Stories--up front in the installation instructions would be very useful.

DOM was made an esm to make sure, no add-on plugin would ever load before.

The natural way to install add-ons is always after DOM. Unless DOM comes with a patch for the addon, and in this case it should be before DOM.

Of course, that's assuming none of the add-ons packs a different version of the esm. Other files like meshes, textures and configuration are more of a matter of taste.

DOMStories comes with 1 file overwriting DOM's and that's Camilla JSON personality file. I am not sure they are different, but choose the one you prefer.

This may be a dumb question, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to force a collar onto a slave. I've got both a "Collar of Leashing" and a "zbf Collar Iron Black" in my inventory, but no clue as to how to make use of them.

@TrollAutokill I commented a bit ago that taboo sex was not getting picked up, just tried it on a new game and its still not being picked up, not sure if its juist not seeing that NPCs are related or not, the diaries are saying they are sisters, but still nothing

Harkon didn't bat an eyelid at the sight of his daughter enslaved. Valerica seems to be taking it in her stride as well. I guess that's vampire parents for you.

I might slap a collar on her mum anyway, just to be on the safe side.

Better safe than sorry, eh?

Now to beat up Harkon so I can sit on his throne with these two kneeling at either side.

I didn't think Serana would be safe to enslave whilst doing the Dawnguard questline...

I might be missing something but I have been trying to get a npc to become my slave willingly but after chating them up to relation 4 with me. The dialouge option You'll do exactly what I tell you doesnt appear. Which means I cannot do the things needed like making the npc tied-up.

Did you...put it in the slave's inventory?

Did you by mistake increase the dialogue threshold to 5? It's in the MCM NPC tab. Otherwise try to lower it to 3.

Which version is that? You need 7.8 to have the option to enslave willingly.

Heh, of course. I'm just not sure how to get the slave to equip. When you give a follower armor and weapons, the follower equips them automatically, but I haven't seen the slave do the same thing, despite those two functions using the same UI. Maybe something was bugged when I was trying it?

normaly the dialgue " follow me i have a surprise for you " or something like this will appear.

And i really want to try the New with TDF version hope it's coming soon.

Actually, I accidentally answered my own question: if I use the same "O" hotkey I use followers to open the inventory swap AI, stuff does get equipped. (I'm not sure how a follower/slave NPC decides which gear to wear if multiple ones fit a slot, but that's easy enough to work around.) My problem was I was opening an inventory swap UI through the chat--it looked the same, but didn't have the auto-equipping functionality.

Yes 7.8 is development version. It's scheduled to be released soon as 7.9, hopefully this week or next one.

Well it should, it's the exact same function and events fired. What was the dialogue line you used?

So I didn't try the questline skip option, but you need to use a cell token to setup your camp/home. Once camp is setup you should have a new dialogue line "You're going to stay here for a while".

The questline skip option works perfectly (I play 7.7.3 with HsH and AYGAS without PAH. Getting tokens with console works well too.

Unfortunately, DOM v7 is not loading properly for me. The mod menu for DOM isn't appearing. Any ideas on how I can debug this? This is a new install of SSE with a fresh save.

Never mind, you're right--I was confused by the fact that the item didn't equip until after I closed the UI. (That's the problem with playing a modded game without ever playing the vanilla version.) At least, I think that's what happened. I could have sworn that earlier I saw items not equipping even after closing the menu, but I can't reproduce that behavior now, so I assume I was just confused (easy to happen--the game is overwhelming with all these mods!).

That will happen with armor, if what their are wearing is better, they wont equip the stuff you give them. collars, I notices that the lash collars will be trump by some necklaces

It's a bit tedious but you need to identify the mod hogging the MCM. Proper method is:

1) Try with a vanilla clean save, there is one on this mod download page. If it works it's the other save which needs cleaning. Use ReSaver to try to clean your save.

If it didn't work:

2) Identify mods with MCM. Check their description or look for the SKI keyword in the source files with a search text program like "Agent Ransack".

3) Uncheck some of the mods with MCM and start the game with a clean save try to load and see if MCM works.

4) Repeat 3 with more or less mods until you identify the problem.

Hmm, collars should be flagged as device and not be removed or replaced. Do you have any necklace example so I can try to reproduce?

I don't use this mod and I don't have the required CC installed. Could you check the keywords for the necklace with SSEEdit and post a screen?
