What are the conditions for completing Tomb Raider?

The key thing that you must do is to loot something from the chest that this mod tracks (gold, lockpicks, or device keys).  By default, all boss chests have gold, so that should be easy.  It sounds like maybe you didn't get around to looting the chest yet.  When you do, the quest will update and display a new quest objective to get your reward from your owner.  There's no actual item to be found, and the description of what the owner wants is intentionally very vague to cover the desires of all owners.

 

The reason for designing the quest this way is to keep a light footprint and be as unobtrusive in the game as possible, with maximum compatibility with mods that might add boss chests.  Unfortunately, Skyrim being Skyrim, not all ornate chests are properly tagged as "BossContainer" chests.  The large majority (including this chest) are properly tagged, but unless you know from past experience that a specific chest is valid, it's best to leave yourself time to go loot another one.

Yes, meant White River Watch. I did loot the chest. Only had 30 gold (using Open World Loot). Reloaded save and added 200 gold to the chest just in case there is threshold. Didn't update quest either. Failed this quest due to time. Will see if persists for next time quest triggers.

As you have a whole week for that quest, you can look into (and loot) some more dungeons. Maybe the Open World Loot changes keywords, so that this mod doesn't get the Boss Chest hint that it would need?

I dimly remember that there had been an issue when you've already been in that dungeon before and it's already cleared when you enter it.

(but that was ages ago and maybe not even this mod, so take that with a pinch of salt)

Even one gold piece is enough.  I took a quick look at Open World Loot.  Its changes will not affect the quest.

 

You can test whether a chest has the right keyword for a boss chest.  Target it in the console and enter HasRefType BossContainer.

 

While looking through the quest logic, I noticed that the quest will not update if the chest is looted while the mod is suspended.  This wasn't by design, just a consequence of handling of suspended status.  I will change this to allow the quest to detect looting a boss chest while suspended.  That might not have been your problem, but it's a worthwhile change.

That makes sense.  If you previously cleared the area and looted the chest, there's nothing left to trigger an update to Tomb Raider if you open the chest later.  If the area respawns, you should be able to use the chest to complete the quest.

I usually don't comment on release dates or upcoming content unless I'm certain that I can deliver, which usually means that a feature coming in the next update will already have been at least prototyped at that time, such as when I mentioned last month that the next update will optionally use tears from SlaveTats (for punishment spanking or whipping).  I've also mentioned previously that adding naked walks for all 5 major cities is a priority, though it's not a promise and there's no target date.  Bug fixes have highest priority, and it's not unusual for new and interesting ideas to move ahead of other feature ideas that I've had for a while.

Honestly this shows, I cant even remember the last time I had an issue with this mod.

So a few issues from a long time user I was asked to report 

1 a lore consistency thing, according to lore to my knowledge most if not all argonians hate nord mead so an argonian owner shouldn't ask for mead this is very minor 

 

2 positive illusion spells such as courage used prior to combat cause punishment

 

3 when using cursed loot, dcur shock boots and the Faster Lola Faster are a lethal combination as your hurt for running and hurt for not it's also goes thru tgm

 

4 Lights Out is an issue with the vanilla The Mind of Madness quest it unequips the blindfold and will not let you re equip it

Thank you for the feedback!

 

1.  I'll probably leave this alone since it's a niche case.

2.  Not in my game, and it hasn't been reported before.  Perhaps a mod is affecting your illusion spells?

3.  Unfortunately, this mod can't tell when another mod might punish you for running.

4.  That's awkward.  I made a note to look at handling it somehow.  Suspending the mod is a workaround.

If you have a patreon I would love to show my appreciation somehow. Since Lola have been a staple of my LO for many years now.

 

I love how you keep to your gameplay vision and immersion of how Lola works.

 

I always enjoy the new features. They just make sense. Much love.

 

On that note, I was wondering: When travelling around outside a settlement I most often get the "Dance Event". It always seems kind of strange why the Dom would like a dance while travelling on the road or in a dungeon. Would it be possible to restrict dancing to inside a town building down the line?

Thanks!  By choice, I don't have a way for anyone to donate.  Just enjoy.  (I know that some mod authors do have ways to support them, and that's fine.  It's a personal decision.)

For what it's worth, I think that when traveling, masters get bored and want a little entertainment, so having Lola dance in the wilderness doesn't strange to me.

 

One of the challenges for this mod is always having a valid action for the owner to take whenever you offer service (or take too long offering service).  Events are already skewed toward populated areas because there are so many more possibilities with other people around.  Zapping, stripping, and dancing are useful to the mod because they can occur anywhere (I later added the collar check as an "anywhere" event).  If dancing were restricted to towns, you'd see the few remaining anywhere checks even more often on the road or in dungeons.  Stripping on the road is arguably a bit strange too, but the goal is to maintain some variety.  With that in mind, dancing occurs anywhere.

 

If you have suggestions for wording that might make dancing on the road seem less strange, I might be able to add that.  (There's a special instance for dancing in a Falmer dungeon that MrEsturk had added, but I don't think people see that one much.)  I'm also open to ideas for new events that would work anywhere and improve the variety when away from settlements.

Now that you mention it, I think I have seen that one. 

 

 

In terms of additional text context... I don't think it is that necessary. 

Yeah, I understand that anywhere events would be too few then. I really don't mind the dance that much. I have it configured to 30 sec so it matches the durmm sound length.

The collar check was a nice addition, since it is also a shorter event between. Now that I think about it, in terms of game flow, it's like a little breather sometimes ;) .

New:  "Use SlaveTats Tears", a new option on the Mod Integration page.
- Apply tears from SlaveTats for punishment spanking or whipping (tears last for half the debuff duration).  Also used for the Trophy Slave event.
Changed:  Greatly reduced the duration of the whipping debuff for "Something to Beat You With".
Changed:  During Trophy Slave, the owner will equip a whip to look like a proper Dom for the audience.
Changed:  More-enthusiastic player responses when oral sex is demanded, available above score 50.
Changed:  For Adventuring Slave, if payment time arrives and the mod is suspended, payment time is extended 24 hours.
Changed:  The Tomb Raider quest can now be completed while the mod is suspended.
Changed:  Device checks are suspended while the player is in a cutscene.  (Contributed by MrEsturk)
Changed:  If the collar is removed, a new more immersive message describes its return.  (Contributed by MrEsturk)
Changed:  The Lights Out quest will not start during "The Mind of Madness" while in the Pelagius Wing.

Regarding SlaveTats Tears

 

At this time, I do not have plans to apply actual tattoos, just temporary textures like tears.

If you already have the debuff from a spanking or whipping, enabling tears will *not* cause them to appear.  They're applied at the time of the punishment.

 

ZAP provides tears for SlaveTats, but the ones from Apropos 2 are more visible (though arguably less realistic, since tear stains are not opaque white streaks).  Because ZAP tears and Apropos 2 tears have the same names, this mod will use the first set of tears that it finds.

 

If you want to guarantee the use of Apropos 2 tears, then in Textures\actors\character\SlaveTats, copy the 3 tears files from the Sob Tears folder into the Drool folder, delete or rename the original files, and remove the underscore from the copied files.  You do not have to install Apropos 2, just the 3 tears textures.  If you have Apropos 2 and want to guarantee the use of ZAP tears, copy the 3 ZAP tear textures from the Drool folder and overwrite the ones in the Sob Tears folder (you *must* add the underscore to the copied files).

It could be some icons for emotions, or something related to BDSM/submission, or it could be something more pictoresque - like those perk animations Fallout 4 shows you for Sandman Kill, etc., except ideally of course it should be a bit more sexier.

"Tomb Raider" didn't give me credit for completing Kagrumez in Solstheim.  Can it not recognize the dwemer chests that are in dwemer ruins here, or is this place just not tagged correctly?

No chests in Kagrumez have the BossContainer tag, apparently part of the inconsistency of tagging in the game.  From what I can see, Dragonborn adds 30 chests tagged as boss chests, two of which are dwarven chests, so some dwarven chests are valid.  You can test whether a chest has the right keyword.  Target it in the console and enter HasRefType BossContainer.

Thank you for the links.  Unfortunately, I was not able to get Fancy Thoughts to work on LE because iWantWidgets (which Fancy Thoughts is built on) doesn't seem to work on LE.  The author of iWantWidgets does not promise that it will work on LE, and apparently, it doesn't.  I tried.  Since I develop and test on LE, I can't use it.  Even if that were not the case, I want to support all players, so it would still be a problem.

@HexBolt8 It's a pity that this was the outcome. I was really looking forward to its functionality, the icon(s) were a nice touch. But especially its capacity to do multi-line thoughts by utilising a new line character symbol.

Agreed, that is the feature I most wanted myself.  I found that inserting \n will actually split a standard notification into two lines, but alas, the font size is reduced to make the two lines fit the same vertical space as a normal single line, so that's impractical.

 

I'm also keenly disappointed that there's no text replacement capability in Fuz Ro D-oh.  "Lola" is pretty unique (at least in English), so it would be easy to replace "Lola" with a player's preferred pet name, but nothing out there supports that.

I convinced Hexbolt8 to let me borrow the project for the weekend to add a few small features. I can't do too much, partially because I'm currently having issues getting Skyrim SE to compile scripts correctly (For now I'm going though the cumbersome process of compiling scripts in my bricked copy of LE then moving them over to SE for testing.) but I have managed to add the following:

 

- The Playmate can be set to mimic the player's nudity rule in MCM. They are even smart enough to redress themselves when you leave clothing restricted zones. Though they can't be set to have an exception outfit like the player.

 

- A new nudity rule option: 'Safe Areas and Wilderness'. This version of the rule only allows the player to wear clothes in areas with the 'Dungeon' keyword. That covers the majority of Enemy Lairs, such as dungeons, hostile forts, caves, bandit camps, etc. In other words the player is required to be nude in safe areas and while traveling the open road/wilderness. That would make it the second strictest rule between 'Always' and 'Safe Areas'.

 

- The ability to disable the Dragon Mercy feature in MCM. In case you don't find the dragon battles menacing enough for the owner's rules to be suspended or are just a total masochist who enjoys running for your life occasionally :P

 

- An additional, percent based option for the owner's daily expenses. This deducts a percent of the owner's total gold every day, meaning large stockpiles of gold acquired in a short period of time deplete faster from the owner's share. Can be combined with the standard flat rate daily owner expenses option.

@MrEsturk It's good to see you here to work on this for the weekend! Sorry to add something to this but has modification(s) like "OBIS", "Populated Lands Road Paths Legendary" and/or "Populated Skyrim HELL EDITION" been taken into account, with "Safe Areas and Wilderness" nudity rule option?

 

Cause if the they haven't then with the last modification there's are very high likely hood that Lola and/or the owner may be running very frequently when combined with a spawn increasing modification. Cause that last mod increases the amount of population in the wilderness as the roads will have more traffic on them and general spawns so watching out for hostiles will be a full time activity. Potentially with enough to be overwhelming in terms of being able to defeat without being defeated.

@HexBolt8 I had a look at the Papyrus script source code for iWant Widgets and have noticed that there's additional dependencies some of which lead back to SKSE dll plugins for LE. So if you don't have those plugins then it may not work.

 

It's not very obvious for some of these additional dependencies which surprised me. For instance the October 2022 release of the widgets has a dependency on Dylbills Papyrus Functions, and this then has a dependency on Papyrus INI (and its SKSE dll plugin). So if you don't have this dependency then it may not work especially the last SKSE dll plugin mod Papyrus INI. As well as PapyrusUtil, PapyrusUtil Extender and also finally ConsoleUtil SKSE dll plugins adding the base required functionality.

 

Plus anyway recently the author of iWant Widgets has fixed a race condition with the modification, which was corrupting data being utilised for the functionality. iWant Widgets was developed to resist race conditions however until recently not this particular condition, so if it was affected on your system then you may not have seen it working.

It's just an option.  If it's not a good fit for the way a player has modified the game, there are safer choices.

Hi, I'm on lola 2.0.58 and I've found an issue.

Currently I have suspended all events and disabled 'owner can still have sex', but I'm still getting some events. So far it's licking boots in the jarl's place, working slave, and whiterun walk. Aren't they supposed to be suspended? Thanks.

 

Papyrus.0.log I don't know how helpful this will be, but I'm including it anyway. My game version is SE 1.5.97.
