The Club thing on LL is really not popular and hidden. I never even knew there were Clubs on LL until then. It would be way easier if LL just creates a CP77 Download-Section. Last thing people looking for CP77 Mods check are Clubs...

How about NOT taking your frustration on mod creators who upload their stuff here? 

A majority of modding threads are like this and it's been this way for a long time. So I don't know why this surprises you.

 

Like Andarus said, most users here don't even know that clubs exist. I only knew about it a couple months ago.

you will need :

- CP77Tools to unpack the archive

- A editing software like GIMP

- And a good Texture Compressor like NVIDIA Texture Tools Exporter Standalone

https://developer.nvidia.com/nvidia-texture-tools-exporter

 

So basically

- Unpack with CP77Tools in png

- Mod it with GIMP 

- Recompress into DDS (that the tricky part all image are not in the same compression format usually BC3 with no mipmap) (For the vending machine the compression is not in BC3 but BC1a)

- Rebuild with CP77Tools the image in his container

- Repack all with CP77Tools

 

Can be simpler to use WolvenKit App but i have never use it.

Hi

 

Im rextexturing som adverts in the game. Great luck with some of them, others not. Now im trying to retexture the New Empires ad. I save the .dds as BC3, and same size as vanilla. Yet this is what shows up in game. Any idea what im doing wrong?

I think you compress it with mipmap the dds must be without mipmap

You were right, i didnt uncheck Mipmap. Sadly it didnt solve the issue tho, just tried it. Something else is causing it. Cant figure out what.

I followed the club link, clicked on accept rules, get a popup saying accepted, then try to join, and nothing happens.  Stuck on the rules page.  Can't access mods.  Completely useless.

Oh wow. Didn't know there was a Death alternative mod and it's been continued by another guy after being abandoned. This kinda gives me hope for some defeat mods akin to skyrim sexlab but I don't know how well that would work on this game.

We can only hope. Its very barebones, but its a good start.

Check out Immersive Role Play CP77 development discord. They just updated a cool feature that is very similar to Death Alternative, among many other stuff.

I think you have to hit accept after you hit join... but I did not see the join button until after I hit accept (so... accept -> join -> accept .. I guess you must be very accepting...).

 

Anyways, I did not know about clubs on this site until a few minutes ago, so I am no expert. But that was my experience.

Just to be clear, I mean for them to loop so they are 2x or 3x or more times as long of a cutscene.

I wouldn't be surprised if CDPR denied it because it would rile up fans quite a bit if he did.  But the idea isn't a "fabrication" - it's based on circumstantial but suggestive evidence, like some of the middle-period promo vids, one of which has Johnny Silverhands as a "mentor" in the character creation screen for a more "proper" RPG type of character creator, and another of which has a news announcement that he's still around doing stuff in the game world.  So it's suggestive that at point A in time, they didn't have the V/Keanu story in mind as the backbone of the game, then at point B in time, it was all shoehorned in to what otherwise was probably a more straightforward RPG with RPG elements.  Also, it was definitely advertised as an RPG right up until almost the game's release, when they dropped the "RPG" labeling from the official blurb and retreated to "action-adventure story."

 

But there's circumstantial evidence in the game too.  The latter adverts touted the early All Foods quest for its C&C, and indeed that quest is a splendid example of immersive sim with excellent C&C (numerous ways of playing it, some dialogue choices cut off/open up options, etc.).  The trouble is that it was a lie that that was an example of what's in the game, it's actually the only quest that has that degree of depth and complexity.  However, there's enough vestigial depth and complexity in many of the other quests to suggest that it was originally their intention to have that sort of game - a deep RPG with richly interweaving immersive sim quests with tons of C&C.  The game we have doesn't have that, and the most likely culprit is that that game wasn't finished because at a late date they put all their eggs in the basket of having the Keanu-based "action-adventure." 

 

Or again, the later adverts showed an RPG where the "path" choices were meaningful in terms of a "zero to hero" trajectory in 3 very different modes.  But that's vestigial in the game as it is.

 

At the end of the day we'll never know for sure, but the suspicion that CDPR (disastrously, as it turns out) changed horses in the middle of the stream either because the suits thought it would be a great marketing idea, or because they felt they had to oblige Keanu or whatever, is not a "fabrication" and it's not unfounded.

Why should anyone believe anything that comes out of CDPR's mouth ever again?  

 

They've completely destroyed the trust they'd built up with gamers over the years, and it's going to take them a long time to get it back, if ever.
