Cyberpunk 2077 Mod Creation Thread

Do not forget that:

 

1. Cyberpunk is already much better visually then Skyrim/Fallout will ever be.

2. There are sex scenes already in vanilla game.

3. The official god damn tools have leaked - there are already mods made with them on nexus.

4. The whole cyberpunk genre revolves around sex - all the usual LoversLab stuff is literally lore friendly, and some of it is already implemented in vanilla game.

 

So, what I'm saying is that Cyberpunk being solid LL experience is mostly just a matter of time. Using stolen tools is a big no no, and the majority of the community now is somewhat involved in creating the tools and figuring stuff out. The breakthrough is probably gonna be the community made animation tools. But yea, we are talking horny mfs making mods - of course they will find a way

We don't have mod tools  90% of it is hex editing at this point. Community tools makers (WolvenKit) are working hard on creating stuff like quest tools, animation tools and all that, but it will be a long process.

 

However, there are tools, that are stolen from CD Projekt, circulating some shady websites. In fact, there was a quest mod that allowed you to romance Panam as Female V (Not the "Panam Romance for Female V" - that one is legit, created with experimental quest tools by community), that was created with stolen tools. The person was streaming the whole process, which got him banned and the mod removed - you can probably still find it on the sites that reupload mods.

 

How many other mods created with stolen CD Projekt's assets are there, and how many more to come? We don't know.

Well, I don't get the point why CD don't share more details - at least interface descriptions for AI and quest engine...

Skyrim is still alive because Bethesda has shared not only details but tools as well (CK).

 

The inflow of new mods is decreasing towards zero = modding dead.

 

There is some kind of interface leak (https://codeberg.org/adamsmasher/cyberpunk)

But it comes without any information and it is pretty incomplete.

WolvenKit is doing pretty well, constantly getting updates, but it's still far away from reaching bethesda level. 90% of modding is now done through hex editing, hence not a lot of modding getting done. WolvenKit will create a user friendly environment, and will attract more modders - when it's ready. CD Projekt is/was helping with the creation of WolvenKit.

 

The official CD Projekt's tools (stolen by hackers) are circulating around the internet, and there are modders already making use of that.

 

 

The main reason for the amount of mods on nexus decreasing is that there are less and less mod users - that will change with the things like the dlcs and next gen update.

Using stolen tools for mods that are intended for public release is flirting with desaster. Remember CDPR taking down the sex mod on Nexus because it allowed for sex with that bad actor that ruined the game? They already are not happy with adult mods, please don't give them additional legal ammo.

That's why most of the community is now participating in the creation of WolvenKit or waiting for it. However, mods made with stolen assets will appear every now and then.

 

Saying that CD Projekt is not happy with the horny is like saying that Sasha Grey feels unfomfortable when she's naked  Sex scenes, nudity, breast jiggle, some sex toys etc. are already in the game. They haven't even taken down that one mod, they just reached the creator and were like - "hey, can you like maybe not use famous people in sex mods, thanks."

 

Basically modders are forbidden from messing with Keanu, Kojima and the rest of the npcs that are based of real people - the rest is ok.

Keanu Reeves did not ruin anything. And obviously they took it down, but it was just a fucking Model-Changer - you can still do that.

There were an equivalent of this mod, made with the stolen tools but it got removed, because the creator has streamed the whole process.

The sheer amount of times that something like that is exactly what is going on is impossible to describe, a lot of games are ok with nudity and sex, but when it comes to mods they try to stop it, the most recent game that I remember was Conan exiles, the devs weren't content with porn in their game, and lamentably CP77 was taken over by execs from what we know, so don't expect the most sane decision making.

 

And honestly Keanu is kinda irrelevant, the only thing he helped with, was  to promote the game.

This is the hacky solution I meant - circumvents the quest engine completely - based on timers, flags and events. Its like a sledgehammer implementation to get wheels rolling. It has no future when the quest should become more complex

"Forbidden" You all are conflating actual law and a request from some jackoff execs. Regardless, I beat this game and the story sucks, all the characters are douchebags, no Asians to romance in a game filled with Japanese characters and the whole game V annoyed the hell out of me. The only thing good about this game is the aesthetics. I'll never buy another CDPR game ever again. Thankfully GOG seems to be run by different people at least for now. If you go to GOG you wouldn't even think CDPR is even involved with GOG.  Also, I told you so. I called it. I called it since day one of this BS. These assholes have requested other adult mods to be removed. Again don't conflate these requests with law though. Just let this give you more incentive not to support this jackoff company.

Creating a good story is difficult enough and having some random people tell you about stuff to be included to avoid twitter hating you,

doesn't make it easier. If you think about it, would you really be happy if there was an asian romance option, or would you complain about other stuff, for example the asian

option not identifying as a tree? Just leave them alone and maybe you won't have to complain about a bad story.

I've been hearing people saying that the writers had to redo everything to make Keanu the primary focus of the story. Hence why the story is so linear and the dialogue choice don't change anything. I don't think it's his fault but more CDPR's higher-ups getting excited with a celebrity being in their game and telling the devs to scrap everything they've worked on.

 

 

Anyways. I do wonder how's the progress with WolvenKit.

This occurred before the current engine was implemented. You were part of a heist gone wrong, and after that you essentially could do your own thing. As we see the open world went out the window and so did undirected narrative. The part you're leaving out is this is what caused the Witcher team to quit the company, and you look at when they left it was way WAY before what we currently have was implemented. The game wasn't even in alpha or a kind of alpha when this occurred.
