This. Cloth physics are shit in general in Fallout and you never see a real good one, it's not really related to body tipe, conversion or autor, is was what the game have until a SMP system or a replacer of it, will be a thing (wich is very unlikely due to the havok change).

That said, and assumig what you are talking is that your coat is even worts than normal ones, firts thing you shoulld check is how the original model weight is. If it already have problems you will not solve yours copying/maintaining original weight. If it's the case, look for a similar coat with better weighting and use it as a reference to weight yours. You will likely need to blend some bones manually after that, but more of the work will be done.

it also doesn't help that they tied the physics to the fps its part of the reason why you get so much stuttering in certain areas regardless of card and also why the fps usually never goes above 60 regardless of card your running. there is a mod on the nexus that unties the 2 and that might be the first step in getting physics to work properly but that requires you to mod the game in such a way that was not intended because of the engine so its really nice in some areas but the stuttering in others gets worse.

Frankly, I've never seen a good version of the long coat for this outfit. Back in my CHCBBE days I would just run the cutoff version (opened). I think long coats will just always suck until SMP is a thing the way it is in Skyrim SE. I would say post it as is but that would be self serving as I am missing it as my Silver Shroud replacer. :)

I should of mentioned I used the original updated CBBE version which I remember when I was still using CBBE (and the older version of the outfit) a few years ago when the outfit first came out, the cloth physics worked fine.  Hence why I left it (latest updated version) as is.  I haven't tested the current CBBE version but I highly doubt you get the same results I had after converting.  Right now I'm still using the FG version I created but with the cutoff trench coat version (closed).

Anyways, here's TheKite's Handmaiden outfit I converted over to Fusion Girl version 1.80.

TheKite_Handmaiden FG.zip

Will require original CBBE mod for textures: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/29348?tab=files

Like I said, the cloth physics on the long/original version of the trench coat is bad so I apologies to anyone if they plan on using it instead of the short or cutoff versions instead.

Huge thanks to TheKite and Niero for this wonderful outfit.

Thing is I never had this problem with the original CBBE version.  Could just be me when I was converting it.

As I have stated, I am still in the process of learning so I apologies for any mistakes on my part.

Thank you @splashzone for updating the list on the OP.  And take your time with it, no rush.

For anyone wondering if there is another place to look for updated outfits, check the link on the OP to the Discord channel.  In the "Self-Promotion" section underneath the "ZEX Modding" tab.

Thank you to all who took their time converting/updating some of our favorite outfits.  Take your time and be sure to enjoy what you and others have created.  Bless you all.

Is this conversion completed with the exception of the long coat or is the closed/cutoff variant the only one that is completed? I ask because I am hesitant to post an incomplete conversion on the main post. If it is just the long coat that is buggy then that is ok...otherwise I'll post it in the requests section and maybe someone can pick it up and continue.

thanks Kharneth for all the work you've done and to the other converters and trackers as well, please remember that the kites attachments do not respect the fusion girl sliders at all as kharn posted in the nexus it would require you to modify the outfit in outfitstudio

"Correct, if you are building morhps for the outfit the additional parts wont be affected, neither with looksmenu morphs or bodyslide morhps.

This is how aditional meshes added to a base mesh work. The only solution is build all outfits parts with the same preset in outfit studio and don't use morhps

Edit: Well to be correct there's one solution. You can add all parts you want to use to one of the base outfits in outfit studio. Then build it with morhps in bodyslide and use it this way, ignoring the customization options in armor workbench"

so its not a problem with the conversion its an issue with how attachments are added to outfits, the triangle base morph will work for attachments just fine and the scoop outfit top respects the fusion girl sliders as its the base outfit.

again thanks for the help when I was experiencing issues and trying to solve the problems with the outfits:}

Technically it is completed.  The short and cutoff variant work just fine.  I've also tested the outfit in-game after converting it and it was how I found out about the buggy cloth physics on the long coat.  Other than that, everything else worked as intend.  I also think its a great idea if you post it on the request section.  That way maybe someone (with more experience) can fix the problem or even add HH to the outfit as well since its original CBBE version didn't come with HH.

Didn't see it mentioned so decided to do a FYI. Fireapple took down her conversion of True Heather Casdin. I've tried to make my own conversion but when I do the sliders will work but body won't change. So is there already a FG 3bbb for Heather out there that anyone knows of?

this mod will set up a folder for the body and for the meshes i had to play around with it but follow the directions and boom heather with any body no issues.

just remember if your building the body to the folder to reset back to defaults file pathing other wise next time you build an outfit/body it will not process correctly as it will build it into her new body folder, did that myself completely forgot and spent close to 5 hours going why the hell wont this outfit work.

you can basically follow those instructions for every follower/companion and make them use any body by simply replacing the default body loaded with the mod. many  mods now don't require it at all though. and excluding the few companion mods that use altered clothing / body parts it will work in most instances, might lose tattoos though but meh small price to pay and then there is always looksmenu to fix what you might want, open the body in looksmenu in game save as preset then change the body, anything that's an overlay should reapply just fine on the new body.

types of mods that require more than simply changeing the body

https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/44882 predator companion follower

https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/43554 half supermutant/deathclaw female companion

https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/32479 karna half beast girl companion

https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/28313 xarna half deathclaw female companion

https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/25307 halfsupermutant female companion

https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/25162 cait half supermutant replacer (really nice my personal preference for cait replacer) something about pissed off Irish she hulk is just great

all of the above mods have custom clothes and meshes that are built around the modified body i know they are convertible but don't know how to do that myself

either way gives you an idea when looking at companion mods to see if it could be body swapped or not.

Also would love some conversions of above mods:}

love laz's work but for high heels you should try icestorms butterfly heels and its already been converted at least to tide you over

https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/44739 base mod

https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/45596 fusion girl conversion

All of them reallly, are the best out there.  I basically only use Icestorm shoes if i want high heels. If a outfit have HH i usually edit it in outfit studio to delete the old ones and put ones from icestorm

Not gonna lie, those do look tempting and I do have Icestorm's other high heeled boot mod installed but Lazman555's highheels just seem to offer more variety and options to customize when combining outfits in Outfit Studio.

Will definitely give them a go so thanks for sharing!

@splashzone Not to be pedantic, but you're totally welcome to say you have official support from the ZeX team on this list. I pinned the post in the discord and recommend it whenever I see a question about clothing for FG.

Much appreciated! I will do everything in my limited power to spread FG/BT3 greatness to the masses!
