has anybody reported a bug with the life and death expansion where the ghosts arnt transparent and the texture seems bit glitchy? i ask because after uninstalling rtbp the issue was corrected and once i tried to install again the textures seemed to be glitchy once more.

Is there way to make specific selectable WW parts compatible with RTBP? Had a boobs body part work with v.4-p6-e2(build from last year in dec i think) and then every update since it hasn't worked. If not that's g, but was curious if there was a something on our end that could be edited to make stuff compatible with the latest versions

Yeah, shadows and ghosts can be glitchy. Still working on that.

Could you link me to the mesh? It's possible that I could fix this and include it in the next release.

Hi, it looks like it's the same problem as with my mesh's. I believe this happens when the shape of the breasts is changed too much. With the latest version most of them work again. But the hanging breasts, which sag too far from the mesh, sometimes pull the shoulders down. Maybe you need to make it even less strict. The same problem can also be seen with some CC tops from other creators.

But what's very strange is that I created a mesh three times under the same conditions. I recreated the mesh again after an update from S4 Studio, with an existing Blender file. 2 variants don't work and one works. I had an RTBP version from December 17, 2023 with which all 3 meshes worked. With all other versions of RTBP after that, none worked anymore and with the last version one of the 3 meshes worked again. Maybe this information will help you.

Oh yes, I would also like to mention that the updates of the game itself also influence which meshes work and which don't. So it happened that after a game update, mechs worked again, with the same RTBP version. Other CC's that worked before no longer had any physics, or became glitchy, like hanging shoulders, or one chest sagged with the shoulder, but the other remained unchanged.

Unfortunately, I have to take back my statement. Most of my cc's work in the cas, but unfortunately not in the game. I'm switching back to the old version. Maybe you can still get my cc's to work with a new version of yours. I hope so so much and keep my fingers crossed

Character shadows seem to disappear with this mod?(onyly head has a shadow) Is there a fix for that?

Not yet, but I am working on it. This is very high on my list of priorities.

Is DX11 support still coming? Ghost shader effect is broken when the game runs on DX9

Yeah, I'm still working on it. It's going to take a bit more time than I initially anticipated. D3D11 is quite a bit different than D3D9, and I haven't completely reverse engineered the D3D11 version yet.

This usually means that RTBP doesn't have write permission to it's log file. You can try changing the permissions, but it might be easier to just delete your RTBP folder (located at "...\[MY_DOCUMENTS]\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\RTBP"). RTBP will recreate the folder with the correct permissions the next time you launch the game.

Hey! @CPVC Is it safe to say that the butt physics work with most meshes/presets now? I've kind of been waiting for that area to be updated since i know its been a tricky one to get right. For the new version, are there any recommended settings we should set the boobs and butt to so we don't encounter odd glitches? I miss using this mod so much I hope all is well, by the way!

Not quite yet. Butts are still a little buggy, especially when the sim is in a prone position. I'll keep working on it, though. I've got a couple ideas on what I could do.

I've been dedicating most of my time towards reverse engineering the D3D11 version of the Sims 4 because I feel like the depreciation of the D3D9 version is imminent. Once I get this figured out I'll start working on other stuff again.

If they depreciate D3D9, RTBP is not going to work for anyone. That's why I have to get this figured out before working on other stuff again.

Probably need another patch for the DX9 version again. Basically the new Eve v9. body type causes the chest to drop more than usual and also isn't correctly equalized which one side is lower than the other. Same applies to some of the new clothing types that use it. Also do I need to reinstall the physics files again (in the Sims4 game directory) after the main game updates ?

Hello there, and thank you again for all the updates! It's so nice seeing this keeps getting updated and still works as of today.

Just a little heads up though, concerning the balls physics. I tried them on a few different models, and it seems that for Noir's penis, the soft penis is slightly deformed. Seems fine with the default WW one and Simdulgence's seem to ignore RTBP completely (probably has to do with Simmotion).

Here's what it looks like, I know it's nowhere near your top priorities, but I thought I would let you know.

Is it normal (this being a "highly experimental mod") that boobies and butts will just start jiggling randomly sometimes, until they've calmed down?

Ball physics aren't great. The method I use for creating the bones is not ideal. The method used is similar to butt bones: every single vertex inside a sphere is modified to use the new bones. The problem with balls is that they are tucked up very close to the body and penis. It's hard to select just the ball vertices. I really need to find a better way of doing this.

Yes, that's normal. The simulator are recreated everytime the game loads a new mesh. Gravity takes effect and the targeted body parts will fall down and bounce back up until they reach equilibrium.

Not working after returning to Sims, used to work fine but now the RTBP popup doesn't even show on launch

And yes I am running TS4_DX9_x64.exe

I even removed all of my mods with nothing but RTBP installed and absolutely no luck.

Edit: So apparently it was something so simple as to enabling Windowed Fullscreen mode, without this there will be no RBTP watermark upon launch.

Hey @CPVC, just dropped by to say thanks for this mod. I actually haven't been able to try it out yet, but that's only because I'm looking forward to the DX11 version. I hope you haven't abandoned this mod! I think I can speak for others that a lot of us are waiting for it lol. Again, just wanted to say thanks for this in advance.

(P.S. If you need someone to be a beta tester of sorts, feel free to hit me up! I'd be glad to do it.)

Don't worry, I'm still working on it. DirectX 11 support is mostly done. I'm just working out the kinks. Progress has been a little slow, but I've got everything hooked and I'm in complete control. Now it's just a matter of working out how everything works. I can already do things. I can modify meshes and mess with bone matrices. I just gotta line everything up and we ought to be in business.
