Edit: This has taken a long time because the DX11 API is drastically different from DX9 and I've basically had to start over. Not only am I learning a new graphics API, but I have to reverse engineer the Sims 4 again to figure out how the game renders things with the new API. I currently have bouncing breasts implemented, but they are very unreliable. They work about 50% of the time and they crap out when you zoom in or out and the sim's LOD changes. Hopefully I'll get these issues figured out soon and I can release an alpha version for testing. After that is taken care of, it should be pretty smooth sailing getting the DX11 version to feature parity with the DX9 version. Anyway, stay tuned. Edited August 25, 2025 by CPVC 12
greenbasil Posted August 28, 2025 Posted August 28, 2025 (edited) Sorry if this has been asked before, I tried scrolling back through the forum but couldn't find a recent answer. Is reshade working with RTBP currently? I tried following the instructions in the readme. In case I missed something, I installed Reshade first and changed the name to reshade.dll and left it in the Bin folder, then installed the current RTBP with the installer. RTBP works and Reshade compiles everything and the UI works but nothing shows up in game. Edit: Silly me, got it working! 😄 I'm not sure but I think my mistake was installing normal Reshade. I installed the add-on version of Reshade instead (the "Download ReShade with full add-on support" button on their download page), then opened the game after installing it to allow everything to load properly, moved the Reshade d3d9.dll somewhere safe, installed RTBP and ran the game once more before renaming the Reshade .dll file and moving it back into the Bin folder and running the game a final time with both reshade and RTBP now working. Hope this helps anyone else wanting Reshade and RTBP but can't get it working. (take a shot every time i said Reshade) Edited August 30, 2025 by greenbasil
alexlll Posted August 28, 2025 Posted August 28, 2025 instead of reshade you can use NVIDIA Freestyle 2
Morrigan235 Posted August 31, 2025 Posted August 31, 2025 Hey there! Just a quick question I had for a little while. I have been looking at the log and weirdly enough, even though I have the d3d9.dll file in the game files, it doesn't seem to be finding it, since I get the "No usable custom D3D9 DLL found, using system default". I was wondering if that was normal or if I did miss a step. The mod does work nonetheless, it's just curious to me that it wouldn't find the custom d3d9 file. Thanks!

RTBP can optionally be chain loaded with other custom DLLs like ReShade or GShade. If it doesn't find one, it will just use the system DLL. 1

Hmmm... Unfortunately your log file doesn't offer any super useful information. At least I know where to start looking, though. I'll take a gander and see if I can figure out what's going on.
hackerjsimon Posted September 10, 2025 Posted September 10, 2025 Everything works fine in regular sims, but during WW animations i have these issues. when it comes to adjusting the butt physics it's quite awkward, since it works well horizontally(side to side, sim standing upright) by adjusting X and Z.[limits are adjusted too to max ranges] my issue is when i adjust Y there isnt really any vertical shifting whatsoever, angular damping i lowered and there still isnt so much upward bouncing on my end.

Try adjusting the max Y and the spring K. Also, remember that gravity is constantly acting against the positive Y axis.

CPVC Posted September 27, 2025 Author Posted September 27, 2025 Well, how do you like that? I think I've got it. It's looking good. Real good. More testing is needed, of course, but it appears that all aforementioned problems have been resolved. Attached is a preview of RTBP running under DirectX 11. I'll make this public once I'm sure everything is working correctly. In the preview video, only breasts are targeted, but now that I've got the fundamentals down, adding all the other body parts should be a cinch. RTBP DX11 Sample.zip 6
goyboy Posted September 28, 2025 Posted September 28, 2025 Hope it works well with the new memory boost enabled when released. Only reason I care about switching to DX11. 1
alexlll Posted September 28, 2025 Posted September 28, 2025 Thank you for your work! The most important thing for me is to retain the ability to fine-tune breast movement along all axes. 2
Onideku1 Posted October 2, 2025 Posted October 2, 2025 Excited to hear it's working with dx11! Is it possible that this mod could ever be expanded to work with custom hair/clothing physics bones similar to SMP for Skyrim? 2
yokozii Posted October 4, 2025 Posted October 4, 2025 Oh thank heavens! <3 I knew some good news was coming soon. thank you for working on this update , I'm so hyped to get my game back the way it was lol 1

alexhongtrang Posted October 12, 2025 Posted October 12, 2025 Hi, RTBP Creator, The RTBP Installer said everything is fine but the Commander is "Unable to connect to RTBP" and my log does not exist. I bought a few packs and installed a few packs from Anadius; therefore, I have 2 folders "Game" and "Game_crack". I copy the d3d9.dll to both of the folders. First, I put the d3d9 in main Game folder and the game crashes. When the file in both folders, game runs but unable to connect. Please help. Thank you.

But now I have both the official and crack game folders, maybe it is the reason. And there is an update in dl recently.

(There is a little note about it on the main page, but easily missable.) If you run the Commander first then go to "General" -> "Start the Sims 4...", it should automatically find and run the DX9 version of the Sims 4 for you. Alternatively, you can change to DX9 in the settings or just execute "TS4_DX9_x64.exe" directly. DX11 support is nearly ready. I just need to take care of one little stubborn bug. Other than that, everything is stable and working as expected. I've played for hours with it and other than that stupid bug, everything seems good. 4
