WaxenFigure Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 This is plain out virus for me atleast, my two virus programs blocked like freaking 6-10 or something (malware) aswell. isnt it possible to make a safe download.. like a data folder/winrar instead of a Setup. (Nvm i'm new to this i had the accelerator hooked on so it created some adware or malware shiet sry :3 I think someone may have hacked your files. When I tried to download the R2 version I got some weird exe file with "Installer for SoftSafe" under your filename.Turn off the abominable option to use their "accellerator" and then it won't try to download an executable file to you but will instead just give you the mod.

hds Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 Yes, the head scaling is handled solely by the skeleton. The included femalehead.nif has a slightly modified face and is used to help give the race its desired look, the neck area is unchanged and will work with any body. I see, thanks a lot for anwering me. While i doubt that a final effect of my effort could look better than CotS it will certainly keep me occupied and entertained until R3 comes out.

Make sure all the files are where they should be first. The default downloads are not NMM compatible, it will end up in the wrong paths. Make sure they didn't end up in \data\main\data for instance. Next make sure that you have RaceCompatibility.esm in your load order first, then xvisionchildren.esp, then YChildren of the Sky.esp last. If you downloaded any of the changed files posted in the thread (like mine), there may be other requirements baked in. My ESP, for instance, requires Dawnguard and may require Skyrim 1.9. The original download & fix do not. Let me know what you find and we'll go from there.

uguu123 Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 some questions anyone know, if i dont want play as vampire but as werewolf in dawnguard - i still need all this dance with racecompapability.esm, scripts and additional race for vampires or not? childs outfits is hardcoded in game? only 3 outfits possible for original skyrim? 2 for hearthfire and probably 1 for DB (DLC2Skaaloutfitchild)? thats reason why we need things like xvision? i only dont get some things, i see that some clothes in R2 are present in children clothes meshes, but also some parts used as armor addon for children outfits in esp. there some restrictions for AA parts for children outfits? its impossible just put usual naked X117 sceleton as clothes/childrenclothes/torso*.nif and change this hardcoded outfit via esp?
hds Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 I've finally had some time to play with those skeletons. My first try was with Lovergirl race. IMHO the effect is not bad. Unfortunately LG race textures are incompatible with Jitek's body and they look pretty messed up. Not that it makes me a lot of difference since i usually play fully armored anyway, but it is annoying anyway. Edit: Hmm, i just checked and it seems like there is no problem with that texture when i play CotS. It doesn't fit only when i use Lovergirls race with Jitek body. Is there anything else in CK i should change beside the skeleton? Because i didn't touch anything there beside switching skeletons. Edited April 22, 2013 by hds

hds Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 Hmm, i messed up a bit. It looks like despite using body texture from a new folder, lovergirls still used normal map from its original folder. When i replaced it with the one from CotS everything looks much better (there is no gap between legs and feets), however it still doesn't fit perfectly. Beside chest still being slightly below where it should be, she now has two bellybuttons as the one from normal map doesn't fit the placement of the one from the texture. It should be really easy to repair in photoshop thou, so it is not much of an issue. Still... i don't understand why it fits perfectly in your game. Which body do you use? Default one or UBB? Since i use the latter maybe that's the issue.
chan Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 I use UNP based textures. I have used CBBE and LadyBody textures as well, all work, just need to put the files in the correct locations. You can do this for any race/follower mod that uses its own directories, and doesn't rely on the vanilla assets.

Furthermore, i've never had any problems with textures before. That's the first one that doesn't fit (although i've never tried any CBBE or LadyBody ones). I've also checked if it fits the default CotS body, but the answer still is "no". It's not a huge problem, like i've said it is really easy to repair in photoshop. I just don't understand how is it possible that it fitted perfectly for you. When you open LG textures in PS you can clearly see that it's breast and bellybuton in slightly below of where it is in every UNP texture (including Jitek's). It shouldn't be possible for it to fit perfectly. Edit: I've just downloaded CBBE textures from nexus and they have exactly the same placement of breast and bellybutton as the one from LG. And of course just like LG there is a small misplacement in game as well. Now it would make a sense, LG is a CBBE based texture and thus doesn't fit Jitek body (which is UNP based). Are you really sure that everything fitted perfectly when you used CBBE/LG textures? I'm not talking here about anything huge. It is barely noticeable. I've always thought that UNP and CBBE textures weren't exchangeable. Edited April 22, 2013 by hds

chan Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 They aren't interchangeable, if you install CBBE body, you need a compatible face. I use UNP because there are plenty of face options available with patches for the neck seam. With CBBE or Ladybody, you need to use a face that is compatible, and install that as well.

Nomenklacher Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 Is there any way to install this without it messing up the default females during character creation and in existing saves or does it allways turn them into those weird fake teenager bodies and mess up the males as well. The last time I installed it changed the bodies and sizes of the female npcs i just want it to change the way the kids look i hate the vanilla children.

I installed the mod (with some options) and it worked fine, I went into game and it were great. BUT, I couldnt find the Sky Children in either "showracemenu" or when starting a new save? The animations and sounds are installed good but not the whole race. I haven't seen if the ordinary kids are Sky Children but I prefer to look it up when I get a reply how to do Thank you

ekzrated Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 I'm having a couple of unusual new bugs. Whenever I load the xvisionchildren esp, Skyrim crashes. Also, whenever I try to ask for someone to follow, they just reset (they don't follow, and the dialog option remains "follow me, I need your help". They won't follow me or do any changes and if I ask more than 3 times, the game freezes.. Any ideas why any of these things are happening? I would appreciate any assistance available. Thanks!
