Is there any way to install this without it messing up the default females during character creation and in existing saves or does it allways turn them into those weird fake teenager bodies and mess up the males as well.  The last time I installed it changed the bodies and sizes of the female npcs i just want it to change the way the kids look i hate the vanilla children.

Default bodies aren't altered but some facegen stuff is changed and the ESP breaks some asset assignments so that you don't get all the customization options like eyes and such for any other race. There are ways to fix it now (read through the thread), or the R3 update is supposed to fix this. That said, there are probably easier mods to use to fix the potato heads if that's your only goal.

By the pictures and description this mods look really great. I just have a question. I installed the mod (with some options) and it worked fine, I went into game and it were great. BUT, I couldnt find the Sky Children in either "showracemenu" or when starting a new save? The animations and sounds are installed good but not the whole race. I haven't seen if the ordinary kids are Sky Children but I prefer to look it up when I get a reply how to do :) Thank you :D

Check your paths. The default archives are not NMM compatible, chances are good the files ended up in the wrong places. Make sure they're not in \data\main\data for instance.

I'm having a couple of unusual new bugs. Whenever I load the xvisionchildren esp, Skyrim crashes. Also, whenever I try to ask for someone to follow, they just reset (they don't follow, and the dialog option remains "follow me, I need your help".  They won't follow me or do any changes and if I ask more than 3 times, the game freezes.. Any ideas why any of these things are happening? I would appreciate any assistance available. :) Thanks!

Do you have RaceCompatibility in your load order? Order should be RaceCompatibility, xvisionchildren, YChildren of the Sky.

If you don't have racecompatibility that may be why followers are acting weird. What follower? Are you using any follower mods like AFT or UFO?

I've run both UFO and AFT without any issues, but I haven't tried without one or the other because vanilla followers are irritating hehe.

About R3... Have anyone heard anything from Jiitek recently? It's been three weeks since the last time he logged. He also seemed to be pretty far in development of R3 and was asking about feedback back then, but now there is no word from him, so i just wonder if he is alright. I hope he doesn't have any IRL problems.

The mod should keep the player stats the same as any other race.

Make a new save, and then in console, type:

player.setscale 1
If you character grows taller after you input that command, then you have a problem...

Since it has been requested, I decided to give it a try and make a boy version of the BNS Assassin armor.

The following file contains a new, standalone version of the armor that works on both males and females. Aside from the original neon pink I added two more neutral color variations (gold and green) to suit less cutesy characters. I also added a small loincloth to the male armor because I thought the microscopic panties looked silly on boys.

Mainly a quick and dirty edit, but it should be without major bone weight weirdness. Also included GIMP .XCF files of the textures for easy recoloring if anyone wants.

They should be craftable under Leather and temperable at the usual facilities (although I haven't actually tested it in-game).

Failing that:

Thanks! But I see what you mean about the pants yes. :/

Loincloth does make a nice extra but still not enough I I feel, less in some areas does look better on woman.

Is it possible to make sort of arabic pants? you know, so the legs are covered in wider pants.

Bare upper body but covered lower body with such pants I know for sure will look great on males.

Pants like in those pics I attached.

Firstly, I'd like to say, what an amazing mod. I know I won't be experiencing it fully and just use it as a children replacer because it actually makes them unique and interesting to look at.

I had some initial problems that I didn't want to bug anyone with but started working on figuring out how to fix it on my own and thought I would share if anyone now or in the future has this problem, I've played awhile and haven't noticed anything game breaking by doing this but it fixed my problem.

I noticed upon installing the mod that my characters face changed, uninstalling the mod reverted my face back to normal but loved the mod so much I thought I could just live with the change. Wrong. So I started going through files and changing things until many hours later of testing I found a "fix" My face is fixed, children look the same and all is well in Tamriel!

The face problem after installing the mod (Temptress Race) Face is round

4hrrm8.jpg

My face after my "fix" back to its former glory! Back to standard

What I did to fix this was navigating to Skyrim/Data/Meshes/Actors/Character/Character Assets. Once there, delete...

Face Parts folder

eyesfemalechargen.tri

femalehead.nif

femaleheadbrowschargen.tri

femaleheadchargen.tri

FemaleHeadraces.tri

Do note that I don't use this as a playable race, so I'm not sure if this would affect those who do use it in that manner.

Also another problem I had was Lucia in Whiterun was only wearing her clothes and boots, no panties, leaving her "showing" when she sat down. If you open up the console, click on her and type "inv" no quotes it will show her inventory. Look at the item codes for both items she has on and while still having her selected type removeitem (item code) 1. Close the console and open it back up, do the same for the other piece of clothing she has on, her body will disappear after this however when you close the console the items will magically appear back on her and she'll be wearing panties as well. Doing this for some reason causes the change to stick even after saving and exiting the game.

Again I want to thank the mod author for doing an amazing job, so nice to have cute kids running around and not the little abominations Bethesda put into the game. Also if these fixes have been mentioned before, I apologize, I searched for awhile and couldn't find such a fix, as well if anyone knows if this will end up murdering my game somehow, I'd appreciate it if you let me know!

There's a bug when I talked to the Face Changer in Riften to change my appearance. The menu shows up, but then the game freezes before anything could show up in the menu.

Do you use any kind of hair mods? Skyrim is known for crashing/freezing when you have too many hairs to choose from. Use http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/33526 and there should be no problem.

Im just reporting this in case someone comes on here with a similar issue:

If your female NPC children are walking around with white skin, dark faces, and no wrists, AND you have PC Exclusive Animation Path installed, then UNINSTALL PC Exclusive Animation Path.

I had CotS running and working perfectly for months (I only use it for NPC children and not my character), and after installing a few new mods, this issue suddenly starting happening.  Because I installed multiple new mods and noticed the issue days later, I had to spend about an hour trying to debug the problem.  It turns out that one of my newly installed mods, PC Exclusive Animation Path, for whatever reason, causes the faces of the female (ONLY!) children to become dark (Redguard maybe?) and their wrists to disappear.

I am not requesting a fix (although it would be nice), but I am just reporting this since so many people come on here requesting help for installation problems, etc.

I have a question; this mod installs a modified version of playerwerewolfchangescript.pex as part of RaceCompatibility.esm. However, this conflicts with a mod I have called Werewolf Mastery, which also changes that same script but has it packed in a .bsa, as such the loose script for race compatibility ends up overriding it. Would it be okay to delete the loose script so that Werewolf Mastery's takes effect? I ask because if RaceCompatibility's script is run instead, a bunch of important aspects, like werewolf form duration and health regeneration don't take effect.

I am having a problem. A while back I found  a way to cure all the negative side effects of this mod and was able to use a children of the sky character with no hiccups or camera messing up. Recently however I added unpb for the bbp stuff to get my adult characters able to jiggle their breasts since it was lacking gravity and I have sex mods installed.

Now the problem is since I did that it some how messed up the camera height for my COTS characters since it is defaulting back to the height of the adults. I just noticed it today since I was trying out some adult characters for survival rp element mods such as Frostfall and RND.

Today I decided to try and make a COTS character for the survival mod as an orphan rp character. but when I started playing I noticed the camera height was off. I then re-installed the XPMS skeleton over the bbp one which allowed for my adults to still have the bbp action but it didn't save the kids.

Lastly I attempted to use the new skeleton I downloaded from this forum that was supposed to fix the kids but instead it made all my non playable COTS kids huge. made them adult sized Sky Children ( I am using Breezehome Children) I was perplexed but reverting the file made it back to regular sized kids. I then tried using a height changing mod which is part of the race menu mod and it made things worse except I can shrink my adult sized characters to about COTS height with working camera.

My dilemma is I need a working Skeleton that can work for my COTS characters both male and female so they can have regular camera height (based on their body) or  sadly just put the race as non playable and start using children versions of adult races...

If anyone was able to read this far and has any idea or clue as to how to help solve my problem a reply would be nice.

You can always manually chance the camera height values located in Documents/My Games/Skyrim/Skyrim.ini

As far as I know, the only mod that's been able to successfully change character height on a per-race basis was the Drow Race posted a while back on the Nexus (it has child versions of the race), and I've looked over his files and I'm STILL not sure how he did it. My best guess is that he found the right values to edit for the race's skeleton meshes, but idk.

I have the same problem, but I do not have that mod installed, it seemed to happen a week or 2 after installing the mod, but I never installed any other mods, however steam did update a few things, and I do have 5 mods installed through steam but they only alter embers and snow effects.  Any idea what specific files changed when you reverted?

Thanks for the information too!

Hey, no problem! :)

I hope that by disabling PC EAP, your issue gets solved too.  (It sucks that we have to though.  I dont know how to work around the problem or why PC EAP is even causing it.  Right now, it is either disable PC EAP or live with weird heads).

Get the updated RaceCompatibility and see if there are compatibility notes for the mod you want.

Not sure what you're talking about. First person camera is tied to the skeleton, and the one en_hawk and I posted fixes this issue for CoTS. e.g. first person camera now scales to your height, whatever you set it to. It does this by removing the scaling (but not the proportions) in the skeleton and putting them into the ESP like the game engine prefers. As mentioned it will make female NPC children huge unless you modify both ESPs unfortunately because they both reference the CoTS female skeleton and expect it to be scaled small. The change required is trivial, but the ESP I've posted adds other requirements because of the RaceCompatibility I have installed, so it's not an exact replacement.

If you're talking about 3rd person then I don't know as I don't play in it and haven't really tried.

So I haven't started playing my Dawnguard install really, aside of grabbing an xbow and taking off.

Are there any issues with being a vampire lord and a SkyChild?

Thanks!

Anyone?
