assass77 Posted June 8, 2020 Posted June 8, 2020 Since my computer was reset I've had to reinstall everything, so I know the basics of what to do in order to install mods successfully, but I have absolutely no idea how or why this is happening. Starting a new game file always end up as shown in the video, no matter which mods I deselect in MO2. Starting up a previous unmodded save with mods does the same type of thing, with all the characters standing in the position the soldier is seen standing in the video. The audio still plays, cutting off when it needs to be queued by an animation, such as the horse thief running from the archers. Running FNIS shows no issues, everything is good and seems to be working fine. If anyone has any clue as to why this is happening please say, it's getting very annoying. Thank you! Skyrim Glitch.mp4
shortiron Posted June 8, 2020 Posted June 8, 2020 Man, please don't vanilla start with heavily modded game. The crazy cart bug happens to everyone, not just you. And I see T-Posing. FNIS issue there.
donttouchmethere Posted June 8, 2020 Posted June 8, 2020 Congratulations! You found out that it's a bad idea to start any new game in Skyrim via the vanilla start. Now grab LAL and try again =D
travelmedic Posted June 8, 2020 Posted June 8, 2020 As shortiron and donttouchmethere already said, your problems are coming from starting with a heavily modded game, also known as Ulfric's Wild Ride. The opening in Skyrim is very heavily scripted, and those scripts are trying to run at the same time all of your mods are initializing and installing into the game. It just overloads the system. Install Alternate Start that donttouchmethere linked to. Start a new game and then let everything finish installing and initializing before you approach the statue of Mara. It gives your mods time to install and not compete with the opening carriage ride. You can then use the statue to select "vanilla start" and ride the carriage into Helgen after that.
assass77 Posted June 8, 2020 Author Posted June 8, 2020 I've run everything with MO2 and started the game via the script extender, which is exactly what I did last time (with even more mods than I'm using now). Before I would load the game with over 50 mods and it would start perfectly fine. I have literally done nothing different than before that I can think of. Also what is the issue with FNIS because when I run it, it claims everything should be working fine? I'll try what you've suggested though, thanks
Guest Posted June 8, 2020 Posted June 8, 2020 Was I a mad lad for starting my heavily modded game without LAL? Only issue I'd back then was my character being naked when running from Alduin.
coolfreaky Posted June 8, 2020 Posted June 8, 2020 are you starting your new game with " helgen rebuilt " ? !

ANGRYWOLVERINE Posted June 8, 2020 Posted June 8, 2020 There is a mod that stablizes the cart overturning issue.I think it's called touring carriges sos fixes.I am not sure it will work on the beginning ride but you can give it a try.
assass77 Posted June 28, 2020 Author Posted June 28, 2020 Ok I solved it. I have absolutely no idea how or why this fixed it but oh well. I installed the Devious Devices mods and started it up without the alternative start mod and it works perfectly, no glitching or anything. So apparently bondage fixes everything if you guys wanna try it and see if it works for you. Thank you all for your help x

Just Don't Posted June 29, 2020 Posted June 29, 2020 Yep, just close your eyes and you won't see the cliff ahead. I've never had issues to get the vanilla start to work. AFAIK it usually has to do with framerate and wonky physics. Skipping the intro sequence won't solve future framerate/physics issues you might encounter. You also had T-poses in there, which is 99% something wrong in your FNIS, you say there are no errors but you didn't include the log so we all have to just believe you and move on. Cheers.
