the.witcher Posted February 6, 2024 Posted February 6, 2024 (edited) Howdy Just installed this one (on a running game already) and I think it caused my "harvest" option from dead animals (from Damn Apocalypse mod) to disappear. Has anybody encountered this? I tried switching mod order to place damn apocalypse after FPE_resources, but LOOT claims there will be a conflicts. EDIT: 1) Ok, I've given birth, seen a notification that I am lactating (but I do not see the perk) and my question is: how do i get the milk product? How to feed the baby? Some option somewhere, key bind, other? ANSWER MYSELF (please correct if wrong): I've found a magazine which allowed me to build basic milker. I guess that's it? 1a) I found the hotkeys in MCM but pressing "add player lactation perk" doesn't seem to do anything? At least I do not see it in the perk list via pip-boy nor through console. ANSWER MYSELF (please correct if wrong): I've added the perk via console command - the "lactation active" one. 2) In the ingame help file it says baby holding can be modified at an armor workbench, but I do not see the baby displayed there? the.witcher Posted March 4, 2024 Posted March 4, 2024 (edited) This time, running from a new game, I came to the birth moment. Seen the baby for a moment, then it disappeared visually. Inventory shows it's there and equipped, but puting it on an off has no visual effect. Presing the reset holding baby debug from FPE seems not have an effect. What's going on? Spoiler EDIT: Reloading the game to a prior save and going through stuff seems to have fixed the issue. It may be related to using Outfit Switcher. However, now I have a 2nd problem being the baby model being visible and blocking aim view when in crouch position FPP. Anybody else encountered it? May have something to do with Third Party First Person Aiming or the other scope mods, I guess... Spoiler EDIT: 3RD problem? How do I feed the baby? Is it automatic? Do I press something somewhere? Can't seem to figure it out. I don't think the milk items are disappearing from inventory... Spoiler Edited March 6, 2024 by the.witcher
Mbaln04 Posted March 7, 2024 Posted March 7, 2024 how do you get multiple pregnancies of different species?
valcon767 Posted March 7, 2024 Posted March 7, 2024 7 hours ago, Mbaln04 said: how do you get multiple pregnancies of different species? as far as i know you cannot have multiple pregnancies of different species at the same time. after you give birth (or miscarry) from a pregnancy you can get pregnant by a different species. there is MCM settings to control whether you can have multiple children during pregnancy (how likely and which species) but you will have to check the MCMs to adjust those values. Reveal hidden contents as to problem #2 i have run into it before. as far as i can remember it only happened to me in sneak mode, but if i looked through the scope (aimed) i could see fine through the scope , but free aiming (not through the scope) i had that happen. do not remember ever having it happen out of sneak mode. no clue why. problem #3 = i have no clue how (or if) you feed the baby. i usually avoid the whole "have to feed the kid" bit by leaving the baby in a settlement. this lets me have head canon of the settlers are feeding the kid (and changing diapers etc) until the child is old enough to do that part themselves. 1
Raven 54 Posted March 9, 2024 Posted March 9, 2024 WOW, what a complex work. Thank You for creating and sharing this. I am utterly lost as a first time user of this mod, would anyone be able to tell me, is there a walkthrough/guide? I kept opening the spoilers on the main page but that is just about what is available not how to use this mod. I am Not complaining, or being negative towards the Author, I am just lost. How do you start a milk farm, how do you get slaves to breed and be used on said farm, so many other questions... Thanks for any help.

Thanks for any help. do not know of a walkthrough/guide but can make a couple of suggestions open the MCM and read the MCMs (yes all 3 of them FPE(R)/Wasteland Dairy/Wasteland Offspring). they each have a fair number of pages to look through. most (if not all) will have hints/helpful info if you hover over the choices. making changes in the MCMs will be a trial and error process to tweak it to your taste. there is 2 ways to get the magazines that it adds 1 - console add them (if you do this you might have to drop them and pick them up again for them to register) 2 - find them as you play the game (if you do this there are a few in Vault 111 and Vault 81, iirc about 3-5 in each) most (not all) magazines have 2-3 locations they will be at. one of the spoilers on in the OP will have all the locations. the perks they give you are not named exactly the same as the magazine, and some things you will not be able to build without the right magazine. if/when you build workbenches remember there are 3 different workbenches (family planning, wasteland veterinary, and wasteland offspring) and to build the item you have to be at the right workbench (some are in the chemistry workbench). i have not yet made a milk farm, but did make a breeding farm. i made the breeding farm by using Just Business to capture a bunch of female enemies (and some males), put them all at 1 settlement, then used Autonomy Enhanced so they would have sex (breed). it works but does take time (for the pregnancies to progress), and depending on individual MCM settings not all pregnancies result in viable children. in that game i had 5 females, 2 male super mutants and over time they produced a total of 8 super mutant children of which 4 were live births (the other 4 were stillbirths). for breeding purposes i would suggest using Autonomy Enhanced. AE has a hotkey (you have to assign it) that makes it easier to turn it on and off. i would suggest if you use AE to not have it on all the time, but to turn it on when you go to your "farm" and turn it off when you go adventuring. during late stage pregnancy you can milk yourself (i have not quite figured out how to milk NPCs yet). there are items you can make that can to cause pregnancy, end pregnancy, make lactation not stop (it usually does a short while after pregnancy ends), and other things. some of the items you can make do require having read the right magazine as well as having the right ingredients, and some also require vanilla perks. hope the information is helpful 1

Thank You for the explanation. I don't currently use AE but I will look at it. Breeding farm Milking farm was what I should have said. I was reading the MCM, sooo much information/mechanics of what needs done, my hat is off to the creator as I would not of thought of half of what is here! Also for my first foray into this mod it is a bit overwhelming, at least to me.

Hober9 Posted March 11, 2024 Posted March 11, 2024 There is so much options here i cannot use more than half of them. But i am asking. Where is the DNA magazine if there is one?

Where is the DNA magazine if there is one? you can get DNA in 2 ways from a corpse or by having sex with an NPC/something wearing a condom DNA can then be used to make someone pregnant (with the right perks) though i think you have to create something with it first recipe magazines are scattered around the commonwealth and different DNA requires different magazines to use. the recipe magazines to look for are the ones named fertilization, interbreeding or similar. recipe magazine locations are listed in the op in a spoiler (it will first list hints then there is a spoiler in the spoiler with exact names of locations). Thanks I'd have to dig way back in the forum posts to find a direct quote, but the author stated that "scream" is a sort of story/plot element to explain the mindless slaves and corpses this mod adds, there's no actual consumable item in the game with special effects on actors from what I recall. 2
Rimworld Traveller Posted March 13, 2024 Posted March 13, 2024 (edited) I'm overwhelmed and lost but still having a great time with the scavenger hunt aspect of the game. It's pretty thrilling to figure out a clue, go seek out the magazine/milker, and end up being right! About the only thing I've figured out is how to milk myself and how to cook breast milk recipes. But hey, it works! Also if you have the men in your settlements wear condoms they'll drop bags of semen on the ground after Autonomy sex (or you can set Human Keep to have them hold them in inventory). When I put the semen bags in the workshop inventory they slowly disappear over time. Are...are people eating them? Also had my first FPEr birth! The father was Trudy's worthless son Travis. Our daughter is Hispanic and so cute (LOVE the carry animation). Hilariously, during The Father I told him to follow me to a doctor but when I got to Covenant he wasn't following me anymore. I slept and he still didn't show up. So I went back to The Drumlin Diner and he wasn't there either. I later ran into him by the Cambridge Police Station (??) and took him straight to Diamond City. He wouldn't follow me into the city but Dr Sun still confirmed the DNA match. When I walked back out the gate Travis had disappeared. Seems very on-brand for this flakey loser. The map says he's by Arc Jet but he isn't where the marker says he is. I will never get my child support caps. From a role play perspective this is all great. Even Trudy's normally-inexplicable hostility makes sense. I walk in and she's like "If you're here to trade, let's trade" or "I've got a store to run. You here to buy?" She assumes I'm there to demand caps or leads to find her son! Edited March 13, 2024 by Rimworld Traveller 2

To be fair, it is considered both food and water by the game, so if that settlement doesn't have enough food or water, I suppose it gets consumed (I think that's how it works)
MadladNomad Posted March 18, 2024 Posted March 18, 2024 Trying to figure out how on earth im supposed to get the perk to make the furniture and I cant seem to find any answers. Any idea how or where to get those perks so I can make all furniture pieces?

MadladNomad Posted March 18, 2024 Posted March 18, 2024 Ah thank you I just travelled to some more and got one for the milking now all I need is the blood type and I got them all I think

There is so little instruction on the mechanics of this mod, I uninstalled it.
