What was the first game(s) you ever played for PC (that you remember)?

Duke Nukem 3d.

Loved the taunts:

What are you? Some bottom-feeding, scum-sucking algae eater?

You're an inspiration for birth control.

Your face, your ass - what's the difference?

Nuke 'em 'till they glow, then shoot 'em in the dark!

Oh...your ass is grass and I've got the weed-whacker.

I just loved the one liners... I really didn't really play any other games in the 1990s.

At least on the PC. Console games are another story.

If you want to listen again to the various sound clips on a video clip. God I forgot many of the one liners. .. :) :) :) :) :D

"What are you waiting for... christmas?"

When you left Duke idle for some seconds.

Well first game I ever played on the PC was Eye of Horus. My father got my Uncle's old PC at the time, which came along with a "game box" with 4 floppy discs. Eye of Horus was one of them, don't remember the name of the other three. I couldn't have been a lot older than 5 at the time though, so it was my father that fired up the game and me and my older brother would play.

Shortly after that we got a SNES, so I would mainly play on that instead. Returned to PC gaming a year or two after Diablo(the first game) was released, when my Uncle(same one that sold the PC) introduced me to it.

First PC game I ever played was probably something like:
Kief the Thief (MINT game!!! Just awesome)

Karateka and/or Prince of Persia by Broderbund.

My first COMPUTER game I've ever played was most likely (Apple ][+):

Zork and Beyond Zork

Choplifter

Ultima ][ (and I've played the rest... Ultima IV was the best)

Arcade Bootcamp (totally attribute all my gaming skills to that one... :) )

Castle Wolfenstein

Beyond Castle Wolfenstein

First Arcade game:

Pac-man or Ms Pac-man

King of Boxer

First console (Atari 2600):

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom

Pitfall

Phoenix

First RPGs:

Wizardry and Ultima Series

The Bards Tale Series

My goodness this one not only takes some thought, it takes a few days worth of thought for me.

If we're talking any kind of home computer, then either Way of the Exploding Fist or Gyruss on the Commodore 64 would be first. I can't seem to remember which. But if we're talking IBM compatible, then Jill of the Jungle would be first.

I was console kid until I was like 10 or 11... The first PC game I played was Space Invaders or Alien Rain as it was called on my fathers ancient Apple in like 1986 I think. In 87 I got a Nintendo and until then mostly nintendo games, and SNES games after that came out until I tried Sam and Max on the PC sometime later. Now that was awesome. After Sam and Max came, Wolfenstien, Doom, Myst, Monkey Island etc the usual suspects... Until 1996 at age 14 when I played Daggerfall and became more of a PC gamer.

P.S. Unrelated but the girl in the add above me looks more like she has a really itchy vagina as opposed to masturbating. Just saying :P

Carmen Sandiego Word Detective is actually a part of a Video game series, I've been searching for Carmen Sandiego's Great Chase Through Time game for quite a bit online but it's really hard to find a free copy of it.

I was seven when I played that game, was one of the few kids to have a head start in English.
