MrMagpie Posted November 21, 2024 Posted November 21, 2024 In the special tasting job for Benjen, he and his girls often refuse to move towards the tasting room, is this a known problem? I can solve it by invading his personal space and slowly nudge him there, but it is a bit annoying.

It's possible that a quest could be running that keeps them busy, but in that case I don't think even nudging them would work.

Until someone can pinpoint which of those mods interacts badly with TAP, there's not much I can do about it.

I would definitely be looking at what package everyone is running in More Informative Console to make sure they are running the right things. But everything you've shown me so far looks like everything is running normally and in the correct state, but it just isn't doing what it's supposed to do. There's got to be something amiss, but I'm having a hard time pinpointing what it could be. In the meantime, I'll look and see if there are ways I can harden the behavior of that scene, but I can't guarantee results from that.

I found an incompatibility: in The Main Course quest the progression of the sex scenes followed by the player being placed outside can get interrupted if you have the PetCollar active from the mod with that name. It started a sexlab scene, which failed the scenes that were supposed to start from this mod. Skipped straight to the feeding scene and tried to place me outside while there was still a scene going on, which led to an endless black screen. Got it fixed by un-equipping the collar for a bit and re-equipping it after. There is apparently an option to make the collar impossible to remove, that would be a hard incompatibility with this mod (and probably all mods that chain scenes).

As a rule, any mod that might inject random sex scenes whenever and wherever is going to cause issues with a mod that expects to be able to script the action of what's going on. All the more so if the scripted action is also SexLab scenes. If there's any way for another mod to tell that mod to cool it for a while, then I might be able to do something about it, but otherwise yeah it's probably just not wise to use them together.

Somebody replied there: Quote If that quest sends the DHLP-Suspend event, then PetCollar could just suspend its approaches until it receives DHLP-Resume and handle things like that automatically (again, depending on whether the other mod plays nice and sends DHLP-Suspend). No idea what any of this means, or how hard it is to implement. I just mentioned it as a possible warning, but it was an easy fix on my part, so don't go to too much trouble on my behalf please.

Yes the Deviously Helpless events are supported by many mods, and it would be great for TAP to send them and listen for them. 1

I think I usually have the same outfits in those sets, so it's possible it's been broken without me noticing.
nilead Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 Finnaly got back to Skyrim and Finished TAP temple lines and a couple other quests. Felt like i had to stop by. Sure, i had a few technical issues with the mod, something to be expected given mod relies on complex scenes and the fact my load order spiraled out of sensible state and size long ago, but overall i had a great time. Compelling writing is not something usually associated with modding in general, and adult mods in particular. Finishing current temple questline, i wasnt sure if i was helping the temple, or unwittingly cooperating in its corruption. Small nuances in quests and scenes matter. Its nice to have options based on your previous actions, its surprising and refreshing to fail a quest by stepping on stage before you're properly announced. Now, playing temple quests from male PC perspective would be fun... eh, maybe one day. Anyhow, just here to say cheers. Extra details do make a difference. 1

It likely means I haven't encountered the same set of circumstances as you, and unfortunately I don't know what those could be without more information. So those NPCs where there, there are 2 layers of surfaces and for some reason (can't remember what) NPCs like to appear on the surface of this second layer out of PC range just below the first layer. You can type the command ‘TAPSanguineRealm’ and just after loading the location type ‘tfc 1’, this will allow you to free cam and freeze npc in the position they are in. Let us know what the situation is with the NPCs there. If they are on the ground, I would look for the problem in the SexLab markers (they may be too low for you), if they are in the ground, then theoretically the NPC markers are too low (they go into the ground). 1

So @ruddycray remove the NPCs from the very end of the location with the start of the sex scenes after teleporting to that location, this will allow those NPCs from the very end to stand on the correct surface (because the sexlab catches them half underground as you can see from the screenshots) and add a trigger box after crossing the second mini bridge.

If there's some kind of weird second underground surface in the original cell, it would be easier to just add invisible beds. Yes, even moving the navmesh above the stage height didn't fix the problem. But putting an invisible bed there did. That's an...interesting typo. No idea how I did that one. Thanks for the report! 1
