@Trykz I'm running into a problem with the cbbe with this. It took me about 4 hours of screaming, crying, re-running ALL available bodyslide files to figure out the .nif body in the mod isn't doing any morphs along with the rest. If i `showracemenu and switch to a nord everything morphs like it should. but not as a DOC. Is it because of using 3bbb and the body inside is a cbbe without the support for 3bbb? I love this race, i extracted the bsa and will try changing the body nif and tri to 3bbb and patch it. I'll let you know it the race suddenly has a smooth crotch or of the slightly hairy one you put in is still there along with morphs etc.

It's a compatibility issue.

The version of CBBE you are using isn't the same version I used for the body.

I don't use 3bbb. So I have no idea what that even is.

However, you don't need to *patch* anything. Just create replacer folders (that match the folder structure of the BSA) for the body meshes/textures and drop your preferred body meshes/textures into them.

Simple.

I did. 3bbb is next gen cbbe essentially. I redid the textures and meshes and put them into a single zip file (it's the textures bsa, and the DOC bsa (the one with meshes) MO2 said it looked like it was packaged for BAIN even thopugh all i did was put both together as a 7zip file. dunno. But it's working now.

And hows angels and demons coming along? hint hint.. ?

Create a folder like this "Daughter of Coldharbour > Meshes > character > Daughter of Coldharbour" then drop copies of all of the "female" body nif's created by Bodyslide in there.  Do not add the argonian, etc nifs. then take all the other files and drop them into the "Daughter of Coldharbour" main folder.  3BBB body you need is all the way at the bottom of the Bodyslide drop-down list. That one looks normal in Bodyslide preview.

I unpacked the 3bbb add-on and copied them from there, grabbed the skin textures from bijin and copied them back to the same locations. And thanks to aylis i now know how to repack into a BSA.. Mostly..

@Trykz If you want it (i would like you to look at the BSA to make sure i did it right for DOC) Let me know. It's your mod.

Ugh. thought i had it figured out, now no hands and blue skin.. More homework to be done apparently..

Why are you doing all of this?

Delete everything, and re-install the mod. This time, DO NOT unpack shit. You didn't need to do ANY of the stuff you're describing. All you had to do was this:

Create these folders, EXACTLY like this:

Data\meshes\actors\character\Daughter of Coldharbour <----- put your body\hands\feet meshes in here

Data\textures\actors\character\Daughter of Coldharbour <----- put your body textures in here (if the body uses CBBE textures, you can skip this if you want)

STOP.

You're done. You need not do anything more. The folders you created are known as *replacer folders*, and their purpose it to override the same parts that are packed in the BSA, to produce the outcome you're doing all this unnecessary stuff to achieve. It really could not be any simpler.

is there a way to remove the nail "claws" ? or make them not appear through CBBE hands' nails? It looks very weird when both are attached at once. Ive tried using override folders but I couldn't really get it to work. I was only able to use my own meshes built in bodyslide.

EDIT: they even appear through gloves. I would really like to remove them.

The picture isn't working. Though I don't need it to understand what you're describing.

But no. They're an intended part of the mod. Sorry.

Because i want to learn how to correctly unpack, fix and repack any bsa files, not just this. I may find a Mod in the interwebz that i want to try out, but it is for LE or was packed wrong to begin with, i may need to know how. With yours i already have a working "patch" with loose files for DOC.

The fingernail issue mentioned is especially the thumbs the long DOC nails do not line up Exactly Right, you can see most of the stock cbbe nails with the DOC nails under the stock nail (i only really notice it in the loading cell starting a new game)

I get it. And that's fine.

But you learn nothing by asking me, when you say you're trying to figure things out. You're asking ME to figure it out FOR you. EVERYTHING I know about modding is from trial and error. I asked very few questions of anyone, unless it had to do with papyrus scripting. I can't even begin to tell you how many times I blew up my game trying to figure things out and make things work. Along with a LOT of reading, and with each wrecked Data folder, I got a little bit better at NOT blowing up my game.

The problem is, THIS is not my ONLY mod. I have about a dozen or so here on LL. If you need help with something that isn't working right with the mod *as I released it*, I'm more than willing and happy to help. What you're asking me for are things that have NOTHING to do with the mod. Things outside of the released mod. Like a body replacer. Things that pull my time away from whatever I'm currently working on, and trying to get out for users of one of my many OTHER mods to play with. The mod HAS a body included. It displays properly, with no seams or mismatched textures. I did my part.

Using parts that are not part of the mod as I released it, MAY display mis-alignments, glitches, seams, or texture mismatches. Look through every one of my mods. VERY seldom do I answer questions from anyone looking to use replacer stuff. I avoid them because it's not my problem to solve. If the mod is installed *AS IS*, it works as intended, everything matches, and there are no seams.

I'm not trying to be an ass. So I hope it's not taken that way. It isn't my intent. But if you truly want to learn how to mod things for yourself, then that is what you should do.

As for the claws on the race:

they CAN be replaced. They simply need to be replaced with something else in the proper location, and something that lines up properly with the hand mesh in use.

Again, my apologies if this comes off as abrasive. It's been a long week.

Nope I would rather have a straight answer to something (and admittedly i was hoping for a little direction on why  to do X vs doing it Y) and i fully know you have several mods on LL i use at least 3 and waiting on the 4th (i have not redone my fallout game since i built my computer so have not tried droids) and sorry if i added to the bad week.

Vampire mods are always welcome to me but that description doesnt say much at all about the mod itself so its hard to get interested.

Hello, So just downloaded this and got a quick question. Am I suppose to have a feed power similar to regular vampires or is the feed the draining spells? Also are you only able top cast certain spells on the right hand? I can only cast soul burn in my right hand. Thanks

I cannot for the life of me get this to work with Better Vampires.  It doesn't recognize this race as a vampire  race, and the feeding doesn't actually register as feeding. I've tried load order tweaks, clean saves, patching, race compatability fixes, etc. nothing works.

It works with Better Vampires, though it does take a while for BV to register you as one.

you know how I can register it as a vampire ?

It just takes a while, you have to drink blood, then sleep like normal. It's a little finicky, so it may take several tries to finally register, but it will. BV isn't made for custom races. Most need a patch, but this one works as-is if a little troublesome.
