Okay, that looks pretty good to start.

So in order to make a shorter cloth, there are 2 method currently. (as i know)

1. try modify the texture (dds) file and make the shirt invisible in the bottom part. to a point where the games still has the skin model attached underneath.

2. if the short is going to be way shorter, then you will have to dig your head into model work, not just texture work. as this game doesn't have nude body model underneath the clothes.

 

So.... Try first with editing the texture, and make them invisible or cut. So you know how it will appear in games. 

and if you want to make a shirt like in-game look, it will most likely you have to do some model work

Yeah maybe but there are clearly pictures to show the model looking reasonably well done but what I was saying is it doesnt look like that at all when I try it looks twisted and transparent

Hmmm myself haven’t try cut the shirt yet, seems like it will involve model work.

sadly, I end up similar to what you got. 

it’s another costume that require removing mesh in the model for shorter cut.

Time to do some model works

Thanks for someone's help , found a probable way of model modding .

 

Tools:

gust_tools

g1mtools

 

Steps:

1. extract the elixer.gz file with the gust_tools , and you will got the xxx_default.g1m file .

2. open the g1m file with tiny hexer (or something else) , edit the second line (3033 -> 3932) so that it looks like this .

  Hide contents

3. just follow the guides of the gust_tools and g1mtools to unpack and repack it .

 

I didn't do much testing on other origin models .

In fact , you can successfully unpack and repack the model files of the Rila mod and topless mod as normal (without step 2) .

Check #65 of this thread .

If that didn't solve your problem and you are editing the dds with Photoshop , delete the alpha channel may work .

It's a yes. But it's model work for sure.

Making extension to current model works perfect, haven’t start doing uv map yet but its do-able

RafFlat doesn’t seems like he will release it IMO.
