I don't know why argonians cause this problem tho. I would think any race would have the same problem... hmm. Other races point to a different head record in the esp. Maybe argonians don't, so the game doesn't know they changed and tries to use their old facegen head with the new tris. Whereas if I changed the record the engine would know not to try to use their old head and substitute the standard head. You'd get the gray face bug on those argonians but it wouldn't crash your game. I'll try that. (I don't think it's the voice--I think as soon as they talk the game tries to move their face using the tri file and that causes the crash.) Thanks for all the debugging help, btw. Gonna let someone else handle the bodyslide question. I like your girl tho.

That means the mod is redundant since everything it has is being overwritten by other mods - UNP and remodeled armors in this case. Move it further down, I'd put it just before Yiffy Age so that your other armor replacers don't overwrite it but you still get Bad Dog's edited meshes.

I also think its related to tri and not actual voice, it just so happens that most of the time that movement is what's triggering the freeze. Luckily its a very easy thing to test if you did try to fix it- just walk up to one of these added argonian npcs and initiate conversation. If there's no freeze, then boom.
Bad Dog Posted April 4, 2020 Author Posted April 4, 2020 Is anybody particularly in love with the new argonian tongues? I like them but if they are going to make everything CTD then maybe it would be better to do without. Alternative seems to be to ship a new argonian head that artificially has a different vert count. Then the engine will recognize it as different and won't try to use older facegen nifs. Or I could change some other attribute in the nif but I don't know what would trigger the engine to reject it. Vert colors maybe?

Gonna be 100% honest here, without being able to use the upgraded female khajit and argonian textures with YA, I never planned to play any of those races again anyway- so I'd say go for it.
shadowwolf1172 Posted April 6, 2020 Posted April 6, 2020 where do you get yiffyageconsolidated.esp? i have skyrimSE....did i not download all of the mod from the mirror or do i need another mod.... 1
yamagiblue Posted April 7, 2020 Posted April 7, 2020 Im having some issues with Sexlab Beastess. One of the spells it gives is a Beastess Breeder Follower. That follower has a human-shaped face, but still has furry teeth and eyes. Its really jarring. The first two pictures are more about her face. The third one is what she looks like without any clothing on. Is there a way to fix this? I'd be willing to take a look at it if I knew how. Its the only character not being affected by yiffy age right now. At this point the skin doesn't bother me that much, its that face.
HemaL2 Posted April 7, 2020 Posted April 7, 2020 I've found a bit of a compatibility issue between this mod and The Book of Sex. When you hit new game or continue, the game loads a bit and then crashes to desktop. Is there anything that you would like me to provide regarding this issue?

It comes from this mod. When you go to the google drive, there are four options available: two are versions of the mod, and the other two are patches for the dig legs and SOS. If you download the second file, you should receive the consolidated mod.

My best bet on this is that you have this mod lower in your load order than YA. Personally, I set YA and all its files as a late loader (that's for Vortex, dunno if there's groups like that on other Mod managers) But tl;dr drag YA and the files that depend on it below Beastess and see if that works. If Beastess is under YA it might be reverting the race files for that character with default vanilla ones.
Bad Dog Posted April 7, 2020 Author Posted April 7, 2020 Or it's a special race and beastess won't work without a patch. I'm sorta neglecting the SE version of this mod. Spent a bunch of the day trying to figure out my CTD--go out Riften's south gate, up to the dragon mound, CTD 3 times out of 4. Tried deleting the Wilderness Encounter, still crashes. Tried deleting the other random spawn locations. Tried getting rid of the necromancer and the rest of the cruft around the shadow stone. Still crashes. Tried going up as a horse. Still crashes. So it's something about the location, specific to YA, but not because the game is spawning a bad NPC and (probably) not because the location is causing some response in the PC. I'm stumped. Bugs the hell out of me and means I don't have so much motivation to do enhancements. The CTD/freeze with Immersive College is Sleeps-In-Blossom, who wasn't facegenned properly.

Isn't that facegen issue something that could crop up in these other mods as well that add Argonian NPCs like CRF and the like? Rather than make patches for each unique mod is there something you can change like you mentioned earlier in the thread?
Bad Dog Posted April 8, 2020 Author Posted April 8, 2020 Yes, in my working version I've removed the argonian tongues, which would eliminate the crashing if you don't have a proper patch. Now that I know it's not the wilderness event causing the crash I feel a *little* better. At least there's not some bad NPC that might cause a crash anywhere in Tamriel. But it's still crazy annoying.
Oninace Posted April 8, 2020 Posted April 8, 2020 Maybe... O.K. here is a question for all those who knows something about modding or just feel like playing around with something. Would this <https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/15257> the face gens across all the races if the textures and meshes were imported to it? I'll probably play around with it sooner or later if noone answers, just don't feel like it right now.
Gannyr Posted April 8, 2020 Posted April 8, 2020 Hiya, first off thank you for the mod! How would one go about removing said Argonian tongues? They do look nice on normal npcs but when I'm playing other area/mods if I see a random argonian I'm basically mashing the tilda button to try and disable them before they can move/talk. Sometimes works, sometimes doesn't haha.

I feel your pain, I had to do this when the Breton tris were still an issue @.@ Hopefully BD will put up an update with the tongue fix when he feels solid with an update.

I have no idea how that works--they have to be doing a facegen once they've scrambled all the faces but I don't know any way to do that outside CK. Anyway it's pretty much pointless for YA, which already has scrambled the facial appearance of everybody. Getting rid of the argonian tongues is easy--go to meshes/actors/character/character assets/mouth and delete everything with "argonian" in the name. But then you have to run facegen on all the vanilla argonians.
technohawk1996 Posted April 9, 2020 Posted April 9, 2020 Hi I'm wonder if anyone can give me some help with setting mod rules in NMM so I can play without the mod rules constantly running in a circles, and it's only with the basics needed to play with this mod.

Bad Dog Posted April 9, 2020 Author Posted April 9, 2020 I don't recommend any mod manager but Mod Organizer--the other two mess up as soon as the situation gets interesting... which is exactly when you need a mod manager. That said, I don't recommend creating too many rules. One rule putting the main ESP low on your load order, so it ends up right before LAL. Everything else should sort itself after that, and order of the YA files doesn't much matter. If the CBBE textures have to come last, make one more rule for each of those.
AMagicalCat Posted April 11, 2020 Posted April 11, 2020 Is anyone else having an issue with the Bretons using imperious and using YA? it causes issues if I load YA before imperius, causing human bodies, yet when i load it before YA the "Stones of Galen" passive does not show up, nor the "breton ancestry" quest of finding the 10 stones. I know theres a patch fore the normal edition of skyrim but I cant find a fix for skyrim SE, any help?
Oninace Posted April 11, 2020 Posted April 11, 2020 the patches for le normally work for se as well... Normally...

Oldrim patch works (though we would all be better off if the patches were eventually ported... I think that's in BD's plans... eventually...) But if you're like me and use a different race passive overhaul, you're SOL lol.
