matrxhasyou Posted March 21, 2020 Posted March 21, 2020 Ok! I guess I misinterpreted what was happening. I figured I'd click manual a few times to check if what I was downloading was packed correctly for MO2, and when I started to see that I "had to" make adjustments, I thought just clicking OK would cause things to not install in the right place. But you've done your homework, I'll trust you ? 1
Aylis Posted March 21, 2020 Author Posted March 21, 2020 Don't worry i and a few others are around to help. MO2 can be scary and overwhelming at first. Don't ask how much trouble i had the first few days coming from NMM... *chuckle*
matrxhasyou Posted March 21, 2020 Posted March 21, 2020 For the mods in this list, do we want to select Merge or Rename when prompted? For example, when installing KS Hairdos, I did the female pack first, then the SMP, then the male pack. When installing the male pack, it asked Merge, Replace, Rename, etc. I figured Merge, because we're adding more assets to an existing pack? Or will that break the female pack?
Aylis Posted March 21, 2020 Author Posted March 21, 2020 I usually keep them separate so i can better track updates. Merging won't hurt. Just don't misclick and use 'replace'.
asebw Posted March 22, 2020 Posted March 22, 2020 7 hours ago, matrxhasyou said: Thank you so much for putting this list together! I'm using MO2 for the first time for this new modding adventure. I'm finding that most (80-85% if I had to guess) of the mods in your list, when I go to install them, requires changing which folder is the data folder (shown when clicking Manual in the install dialog). After reaching the ~116th mod, I thought to ask, is this normal? Or do I need to start over? ? (Edit) To clarify: Right click > Install > Manual > "No game data on top level" then I navigate to the appropriate data folder, set data directory, and it says looks good. Ooof, that is the very wrong way to do it. First off, you shouldn't be installing any mods manually. The only time you install something manually, is if the mod instructions tell you to install them manually. And those mods you have to install manually will never get downloaded by MO2. Those mods will give you the default windows save as menu. You should be installing everything into the MO2 default directories. Also, most of these mods are not setup for manual installs. Some even have FOMOD installers that you need to run for them to work correctly. Basically, you download a mod, double click on it, then click on OK. The mod will either install itself, or the FOMOD installer will start. You never, EVER, click on the manual button.
Aylis Posted March 22, 2020 Author Posted March 22, 2020 Improved Camera is looking good so far (only minor clipping issues). Getting good armors (aka nonskimpy ones ?), which got CBBE bodyslides, are hopefully 3BBB compatible and got a patch for JoP on top of that is nearly impossible. If i can get rid of the need for the patch then quite a few possibilities open up. Like this armor for example: Rogue Sorceress Outfit (3BB)(SMP Cape) or my old favourite the Hedge Mage Armor SSE. A few screenies for you: Spoiler All in the area of Falkreath
asebw Posted March 22, 2020 Posted March 22, 2020 @Aylis Been looking at alternatives to Ethereal Elven Overhaul. Aesthetic Elves seems to work well with the list so far. You also seem to be missing creature framework from the LL section (unless it's been moved to another). Also getting a strange main screen replacer of a animal sex chain. Anyone know how to get rid of it?

I've been just clicking ok since the ~120 mark. I guess I'll see what happens after it's all in place. If it doesn't work and I can't work it out, I'll just start over I guess ?

Nope, MNC got an integrated 'Creature Framework' (which will be automatically installed). 3. Thats easily solved: Open the folderstructure of HCoS. Delete the content of the folder 'loadscreenart'. (Main Screen) Delete the content of the folder 'interface'. (Loading Screens) @matrxhasyou I did the same in the beginning. Wasn't a problem.

Or you're just working a lot faster. 2. Huh, MNC didn't update the last time I installed it. Odd. But then, my mod list has been acting very strange the last few days for reasons I cannot explain. 3. Ah, That's why it didn't work. Those suckers are inverted. Many Thanks,

Well, bear in mind the first time I tried modding skyrim, I had to completely redo my list twice before I got it working (Though once was due to a Bethesda update), so you wouldn't be the first, and definitely not the last. It is rewarding though once you finally get it working.

Took me some time (and moving mods around) 'til i found the solution. I almost removed HCoS from my loadorder because of them. Coming up next (those work fine): Dressed Hearthfire Doll (Almost as important as SKSE ;)) HD Skins for old female faces Random Sex Mod (Alternative for ABMM) Fill Her Up CBBE O.o Deleted older mods, tested files and remnants of FOMODS i had reworked. 20GB more room... Didn't expect THAT much. My worst enemy... Spoiler ...pecking at the door the whole night. Where was my frying pan? Eilistraee's krik'yliccs! The site is especially wonky today! Error 500 and 502 again and again...

I don't know if it's because I had to move temporarily to accommodate the broken ankle or what, but I've had to partially rebuild my mod list this week. Things have been acting just plain weird. In the case of MNC, I updated it, but it didn't seem to update. Had to blow it away and re-install it clean to get it to go down correctly. Had to do it with a few mods, including FNIS.

That's strange. Better check the harddisk, hopefully its just a glitch and not the drive dying. 3 minutes ago, chevalierx said: your skin in my setup Cute.

Think it might just be all the changes need a good shake down. On a side note, i've been using fill her up for awhile. Works decently, though Seperate Orgasm has its issues with it (and a few other mods too).

Aylis Posted March 22, 2020 Author Posted March 22, 2020 Updating status to '2.0.4'. Removing a mod that is too unreliable and as such more trouble than it is worth. As it might be a ticking timebomb (scriptwise) i'd rather remove it now before it becomes a real problem. REMOVED mods: LoversLab: Sexlab Horrible Harassment Expansion SE (works, doesn't work, works, doesn't work, same if you actually try to trigger it...) ADDED mods: Textures: Dressed Hearthfire Doll NPC: HD Skins for old female faces LoversLab: Random Sex Mod (Alternative for ABMM) Removing 'SLHH': You have to remove all scripts and entries of the mod with Fallrim Tools from the savegame. This can damage the savegame so be careful and make backups. The safest way is just to deactivate it via MCM.
asebw Posted March 23, 2020 Posted March 23, 2020 @Aylis Curious to know if you have tried the Animation Limit Crash Fix SSE and what your opinion of it is. Been testing it out myself, and I am unsure if it makes that big of a difference.
Aylis Posted March 23, 2020 Author Posted March 23, 2020 @asebw That one is incompatible with 'SSE Engine Fixes'. Which is a mod we need... NOT working mods: Tranquil Windstead (Message about a planter pops up multiple times. You can enter the hallway - getting out becomes difficult.) Northern Marsh Bridges (Doesn't make much sense. By boat would work much better in that area.) Windstad Mine (Script failing again and again.)

In my case by disabling AnimationLoadSignedCrash as said on the mod page it seems to work OK with SSE Engine Fixes.

If you need smaller ones you have to look for yourself. I choose Skyrim HD 'cause they are imho the bestlooking ones. All the other ones had stuff in there i either didn't like or caused visual glitches in some areas (only getting the snow right was a nightmare of its own). 8 hours ago, AlainCA said: In my case by disabling AnimationLoadSignedCrash as said on the mod page it seems to work OK with SSE Engine Fixes. Oh, misread that one. On the other hand everything in the list is still below the limit of even the 'small' FNIS. So i see no reason to add it. _________________________________________________ Mods to add: Windstad Manor Trader Windstad Manor - Solitude Row Boat (A bit far, but this one does make sense) Renthal Nettle SSE (Those look really good) Horker by Pfuscher Sexlab Sperm Texture Replacer 1b All Geared Up Derivative SE - AllGUD Improved Camera (Beta 4) is looking really good. I've been using it for several days now and encountered no real issues. The used bathing mod isn't affected by it (it switches to 3rd person). Some armors had problems with JoP (clipping while using them), those are gone now. But i wouldn't recommend crafting in 1st person. That can get a bit disorienting...
matrxhasyou Posted March 23, 2020 Posted March 23, 2020 I've got it all installed! Its everything I've dreamed of! Except for one issue. Maybe I didn't select the right options in fomod, or maybe I'm misunderstanding how to install DynDOLOD billboards.. But I noticed that ever since I got past the Foundation stage (I installed and tested in stages, for the most part), I've got LOD trees in place of where normal trees should be. I can even walk through them. But its' only some of the pines, not all of them. The only thing that caught my eye while going through this list again, is the part where we're doing the DynDOLOD, where we have all those checkboxes. I kept the Generate Tree LOD box -unchecked-, per your instructions, despite DynDOLOD telling me to "ignore 3rd party instructions because they're wrong." Any ideas? Want a screenie? ?

Oooooh no... I think i installed the Enhanced Vanilla Trees Billboard Generator over the Enhanced Vanilla Trees folder...and then installed the Billboards Generator again right after it. I'll get back to you lol! *heavy facepalm* (Edit) Yep! I did that to Noble Skyrim HD and all the tree replacers and associated billboards/LODs. No wonder the trees looked funny! Rerunning DynDOLOD now! ?
