Heya

 

Messing around with some mods and was wondering if anyone here could shed some light.

 

So, I am playing as a protogen, and essentially the POV mod doesn't seem to work at all (I have the default sexbound POV, moreposes and POV redux)

 

that I could live with, if I am a little disappointed to be missing out on the pOVs

 

The main issue I am having is that when I use any loungeable which supports a sex scene, I.e a table or bed, my character turns completely invisible.

I have attached my log file, and would really appreciate some help on both counts

In looking at this log folder, it is a mess because I played for quite some time before running into the problem and ending my session

 

I loaded back into the game, initiated a sex scene with aphrodites bow between my protogen and an avian, then i went to Lustaria and initiated a sex scene on a loungeable bed and then a table.

 

Funnily enough this time My protogen was not invisible, so i dont know what could  have fixed that

 

I am still having the POV window issues though if you could help with that? 

 

Just for reference, I downloaded each and every one of these mods about 2 days ago, I am very new to starbound modding, and modding in general, but since I so recently downloaded them, outdated versions shouldn't be the culprit. I can provide my mod list if you need that too

Alright, let's see here;

1. PoV only works for races that have support for it, both involved characters. Protogens, i would assume, do not, thus no PoV =V
2. Now THAT, is a issue. Lemme read that log;
3. Hmm, giving it a read, yeah, lots of "PoV not found" errors, but only other thing i noticed was a Armor Adapt error.

And in this log, no armor-adapt error, no Sexbound issue? Try equipping those Novakid Fancy Pants (i think that's what they were called) and trying again.

If armor adapt is the problem, then you may want to updated your Sexbound API, or maybe playing the game forced Armor Adapt to update? At any rate, this issue was already resolved between both creators, also as a side note, you have a ton of mods, and the more mods do the same thing, the higher the chance they'll conflict and cause problems, so beware. Your game is running fine for now it seems, other than an ocean of errors relating to recipes not being found in the previous log.

Have you tried finding your Starbound log? it provides useful information as to why errors may happen or what are the errors even.

To find the log file, it should be within your Starbound installation directory, then the storage folder. You should see a text file named starbound.log (Or simply starbound, a plain text file). Ah, yeah, looks to me someone installed it all wrong.

 

Using Vortex? It is not recommended to do so to install Sexbound, as you can see, it spilled the Mod's files all over the folder, instead of installing it correctly.

All these files, folders, etc. in there are supposed to be inside their own folder. Please do not just manually move the files into a folder, as you are likely to miss at least a couple. Open up the Sexbound ZIP, and make sure these files go like so: >Mods/Sexbound/these files. No double-nested folders (>Mods/Sexbound/Sexbound/...)

Or install the PAK file, avoiding all of this, but unable to change configs.

I've been looking at and messing around with some of the files (namely the climax projectile files), but I don't know much about the language and can't quite get what I'm trying to do to work.

 

Would anyone know if/how it would be possible to add a damage effect to climaxes?

I thought I'd try to tinker with the moan [sfx] files by first changing the Floran's into the Apex's via sxb_plugin.moan.config. All I did was replace the Floran (female) lines with those that link to the Apex's, but when I tested in-game it was still using the Floran .ogg files. To test if the files were being affected to begin with, I removed the Floran .ogg files and naturally the moans stopped altogether. It almost feels like the sfx files are hard-coded into sexbound for each race, so honestly I have no idea what to do to fix this (if it is indeed possible to begin with).

Check the species folder. Sexbound patches the moans into the species file, which was sneakily added at some point, and has priority over moan configs (For whatever reason)

Ahh I see, thank you I'll check that out. So should I just do the same thing I did before, but in the patch files, instead?

On a separate note, I've also noticed for awhile that the 'Sex Talk' dialog seems to have defaulted to human for all races. Is this a similar issue or something separate?

I've noticed so as well, i am not entirely sure. I used to butt in and test these things a lot but lost a lot of gas on that front, but i wouldn't put it past it being a new bug.

Does anyone know if there's a way to reset the pregnancy status of my character? I wanted to test a few things and experiment, but waiting every time she gets knocked up takes forever. Either a command, or a modded item, I'll take anything lol

 

EDIT: I did search for this, but didn't find anything, which is why I'm asking here.

Is it possible to have a mod replace the body appearance of this mod while outside of the sex animations or does this mod only affect the appearance during sex animations? I haven't messed around with mods for this game in several years and so far I've had no luck. I thought it would be a simple sprite replacement but I haven't figured it out yet.

 

I don't remember this being hard to do but for all I know things have changed after all this time.

Alluring Toys Co vending machine sells them, that and well, there's also a birth-pill in Lustbound that (almost) instantly gives birth to the next pregnancy, or just changing the setting from "IRL Days" to "In-game days" and then using /timeskip. All of the above would work, but none other than the Abortion pills clear your current pregnancies out.

So, to reiterate this question:

To answer that, any reskin mod does this.

Also yes, though similar, the process is separate. Any reskin mod that changes the appearance of your character won't affect Sexbound Animations.

 

This can be achieved by supplying custom images for the Sexbound support (The files inside the artwork folder of a Sexbound support).

I figured, I saw one mod do it for the sex animations but I have not been able to do it for the body outside of those animations. Like I said it's been several years for me so now I have no idea how to do this anymore.

Oh that's the easy part, worry not. It's the stuff in the humanoid folder. That one contains the images for bodies of playable/NPC races.

Sexbound changes the human's body to no longer have underwears by default, but it loads so early in the game's loading process, it gets overwritten by any skin mods that have, or haven't set their priority.

There are several mods that do so, to full, or small extents, and even one here in the Forums! "Get rid of that underwear!" changes the appearance of several races, bodies, arms, and maybe even heads, i haven't fully checked, if you want an example.

Thanks, how would I go about setting priority? I'll look for that mod as well to compare files to see what I'm missing later.

Priority is a value assigned to a mod via it's "_metadata" file, that indicates to the game what importance it has in the loading order. Lower numbers load first, larger numbers load later. I think, the base game loads at around -9999, Sexbound loads at -69, and then most mods load between 0 to 32767. Rarely does a mod go that high, but every now and then you may find a gem... Like a certain felin reskin, IIRC.

If two mods alter the same file, then the mod loaded last calls dibs on whose' file stays loaded.
