Dark World Fantasy was originally created to continue the abandoned DWR, but when that author returned they were split in some ways and taken in two different directions. DWF became LF during that split. Most of the submods on LL require LF, though I think some/most should work with both DWR and LF.

What put you off from ck3 and what did you dislike the most? What did you like on the other hand? Are there some features that you miss from ck2 and it's dlc and if they added them would you consider playing again? I'm currently playing it and going for a full run and quite like the game, altrough there are some things that I dislike (fabrication of claims and the fact that you see the progress of schemes and similar) and would like more things from ck2, but they will come with later dlc I presume. Also inheritance is kinda confusing and annoying. 2

Also following along with that idea using León as an example instead of showing their title in the court as courtier in León, it could show up with slave in León.

veedanya Posted September 12, 2020 Posted September 12, 2020 So I was having some issues with the dwse code, specifically the dragon kidnapping decision, and ended up diving into the LF_Races_DWSE_dragon_decisions.txt file. Then the retired CK2 modder inside me felt compelled to make some improvements to the code. The changes I made are as follows: The section "has_character_modifier = dragon_satisfied" has been moved from "potential" to the "allow" section. This is because the decision becomes completely invisible if the dragon isn't satisfied... meaning there's nothing in-game actually telling new players that a dragon needs to be satisfied to unlock this decision. They might not even know dragon kidnapping is an option, or just assume male dragons can't kidnap at all. At least with this move there will be a greyed-out button that players can tooltip over and find out what they're missing to unlock it. The requirement to only allow dragon kidnappings if you have the intrigue lifestyle focus was removed. Players can enact normal kidnapping missions with any focus, not just intrigue focus, so the restriction for dragon kidnapping doesn't really make much sense in my opinion. Plus a giant freaking dragon busting down a castle door isn't exactly a stealth action (if anything, it'd probably fit better with the war focus!) I also tweaked the file to recognize futa dragons and treat them like males (meaning events now recognize they have a dick, unlike before). For good measure I also gave them the same "needs to be satisfied to become obedient" requirement male dragons have, but you can always change that back if you don't like it. The improved version of the file is attached to the post, if you want to throw it in the next version of LF. Or feel free to refuse the changes, since it's not like I asked permission before doing them. I just made the changes or my own local copy of the game and thought sharing it might save you some work improving code in the future. (Also make sure you put the decision in the decisions folder, the event in the events folder, and not vice versa. ) Side Note: I also noticed the dragon kidnapping thing has no cooldown? Seems ripe for exploitation... I'd recommend adding a year-long cooldown or something between uses. LF_Races_DWSE_offmap_events.txt LF_Races_DWSE_dragon_decisions.txt

I recently updated it and loaded an old save, and the portrait on my character changed to another (it was a succubus portrait before). I don't know how to remove my current portrait (it changed to a kitsune I believe). Is there some way to get rid of the kitsune portrait and set it back to the default CK2 one? I'm happy to edit my save game if that's needed. I've tried the default "remove custom portrait" button, but that didn't work.

Updating mods will very likely require a new game, especially if they add or remove traits. New or removed traits messes up save games.

I`m trying CK2 for the first time, and was wondering if I leave the mods in a folder in the "mod" folder, or have what`s in the zip "loose". So, unzip, and if I don`t see the ".mod" file, pull it and any folders out and drop it, as is inside zip, in mod folder. Correct? I don`t have to pull every folder out, do I? Like the common/decisions/events/etc. folders and .txt files stay in the folder they`re in, meaning I`m just dropping their folder and the .mod file into the "mod" folder, right? Sorry. Total noob with CK2 stuff. I hope someone can understand that abortion of a paragraph I wrote.^^^ I have to say, compared to modding Skyrim, this seems incredibly simple. I hope it actually is. So tired of the constant maintenance.

The zip is just to hold the mod folder and the .mod file After you extract the mod folder and it's .mod file you just get rid of the zip and leave what came out of it there. You should never have to pull the .mod file from anything manually.

When I unzip them, it`s like the .zip folder turns into a regular folder, with a folder and .mod file inside. But I still have the .zip folder. Strange. Thanks. I guess I`ll get back to unzipping. I had to reinstall 7zip awhile back. It hasn`t worked "normal" since I did. But it works good enough, so I never really gave a shit. It zips and unzips. I just can`t right-click a file and get the proper options. I have to open 7zip to do anything with it. But anyway... Holy crap, I am so lost playing this damn game. The Spiffing Brit makes it look so easy. But I shall endeavor to persevere. Started as a landless tentacle creature. Can`t figure out how to get permission from my regent to do anything. Which is weird, since she`s my slavewife and worships me. Ah, well. I`ll figure it out, provided I didn`t bork something. I have 0 DLC, so that might be an issue, since most people don`t seem to know if I need them for their mods. I`d make a joke about pirating the DLC($200+ worth of DLC?!), but ya`ll seem quite rabidly against that sort of heinous behavior. Fuck poor people. That scum doesn`t deserve fun. Misery builds character. If they need money, why don`t they just get a Patreon and beg for it, like the cool people do(streamers, not modders. Modders actually have to know stuff). Sorry. You know how us old people are. But don`t worry. Covid will get me eventually.
