Hi! Best adult mod I encountered so far for Skyrim, with a story as deep as A Dance With Rogues was for NWN. I didn't think that I would encounter that for a game like Skyrim. You did a fantastic job writing it.

 

I am kinda stuck tho. I'll put it in spoilers, just in case someone reading this hasn't played through it. Maybe someone who was at the point I am in the story can tell me if I'm just not thinking of where the story continues or if I encountered a bug.

I'm in Ivarsteadt looking for Evelynn, the guard told me to check the inn.

The innkeeper said "Yeah, she used to come but she isn't here"

And that Soren guy said she was with somebody and she tried to get drunk and then she left.

 

I don't know what else to do. Laura and her friend are nowhere to be seen, I checked the rest of the village, but the quest still has not updated.

What am I doing wrong?

Ich bin in Ivarsteadt und suche nach Evelynn, die Wache hat mir gesagt, ich soll im Gasthaus nachsehen.

Der Wirt sagte: "Ja, sie kam früher, aber sie ist nicht hier."

Und dieser Soren-Typ sagte, sie sei mit jemandem zusammen und habe versucht, sich zu betrinken, und sei dann gegangen.

 

Ich weiß nicht, was ich sonst tun soll. Laura und ihre Freundin sind nirgendwo zu sehen, ich habe den Rest des Dorfes überprüft, aber die Quest wurde immer noch nicht aktualisiert.

Was mache ich falsch?

Yes, that part of the quest is really difficult. Miauzi already gave a hint, I'll put some more in a spoiler

You're loking for notes. Read them carefully and follow the hints. There's one diary page in the inn...

The next page is unter the bridge towards Honey Strand Cave

and after reading that, follow the shoreline past Geirmunds Hall towards Nilheim to find two more notes

and following the shoreline there's a waterfall right away, turn north downhill and get the next questmarker, pointing to a barrel.

I can't find Jade in Darkwater Crossing despite talking to everyone, looking everywhere for messages and even looking through the mine and the area around the town. Back in Morrowind times I poo pooed the idea of questmarkers, but those would be pretty helpful here. XD

 

EDIT: Found her. I blame the rubber hood I wear to be able to carry more stuff.

Ich kann Jade in Darkwater Crossing nicht finden, obwohl ich mit allen gesprochen, überall nach Nachrichten gesucht und sogar die Mine und die Gegend um die Stadt durchsucht habe. Damals in Morrowind-Zeiten habe ich die Idee von Questmarkern verkackt, aber diese wären hier ziemlich hilfreich. XD

 

 

The lady is not easy to find...

..it is NOT in the "place" itself - but stands outside!
I found them near the ponds with "thermal" (heated) water.

Look from "Darkwater Crossing" in the direction of the next stone with the zodiac sign ("Apprentice").

There is an embankment coming from the mine towards the Zodiac Stone...

@LauraI'm through the main quest now, and this was probably the best story mod for Skyrim I ever played. It showed that you put all your heart in it. Even the banter was great all around, I really feel like knowing Laura, Katarina and Jade a bit now, and I really really appreciate that I knew beforehand what I was in for.

To know I wont be surprised with unconsentual scenes was great for a change, since some mods seem to be garnered a bit thick with unconsentual stuff. 

I let Sloane live because Laura said so, btw.

 

Thank you for creating something truely great. I will probably replay it a lot and I will keep an eye on your content here and your patreon. ?

Trivial or not, but first make sure subtitles are enabled for the game. If that wasn't the issue, more info is needed to do anything about it.

Check that you have installed the correct version number of Fuz Ro D-oh for your version of Skyrim.

do you have the right Fuz Roh Doh for your variant of the game, is your HDT up and runnig, do you have some other, script-heavy mods running that cause lag?

Go to the LoversLab home page and click on "Downloads - Skyrim Adult & Sex Mods".  It's about halfway down the first page.

I found it by searching for t.aras name, its annoying that it doesnt show up in the search tab

This was such a good mod! Easily the best quest mod I think I've played, doubly so for loverslab content. 

It was so well written, and the note at the end really explains why so much passion was clearly put into this mod.

 

I do have one question though, is there a way to get into the top room in the shop? Or get any of the keys for the stuff around here?

You'd have to use xEdit or the CK to unlock them.  The floor displays are just there for looks, and @Laura never got around to using the upstairs room for anything, so there are no keys.  There's nothing interesting upstairs anyway, just a generic bedroom copied over from the base model of the shop interior.

@Laura Not sure if anyone's commented before but I've started playing this using Skyrim VR and having played a couple of hours it's been working really well. My only real issue, and not having played in LE is that I have no markers telling me where to go so is a bit of trial and error locating people, so not sure if that's intended or just a SE/VR conversion issue. 

 

In the absence of those markers could someone be kind enough .. having started Ghosts of the past

Having spoken to Liza in Whiterun I'm not being told to go and find Sirgen .. I have no idea where he is.. I've been to Knifepoint and he's not there (not in the mine) so either there someone else or my game is bugged .. Can anyone advise where NPC is? .. Thanks.

 @Laura Hello, I need some help on the 'What She Deserves' Quest. I am at the stage where I am supposed to find Xayah in the Blue Palace, which I managed to. However when I talk to her she just say "what?" and have no further dialogue available. I tried disabling and reenabling here, reset her AI, moving the plugin to the end or my LO but nothing helped. I hope you can give me a solution, thanks!

You might tell us if you're on LE or SE - this scene is known to make problems with some users, unfortunately I don't remember if there was a real solution or just some "kick it until it eventually moves"...

 

Most likely this is a problem with script lag, and as this is the first 'real' quest in the quest arch (and there are some more scenes ahead that make problems for much more people) you might want to a) start a new game just for the playthrough of this mod and b) remove anything you don't need, especially anything that makes heavy use of scripts.

 

In the good old days I'd said, "use the search to look for Xayah in this thread" but these days the search is not worth the hassle.

I'm currently on AE. I have tried reinstalling the mod (SE version) multiple times but it doesn't help. I also tried the LE version but the problem seems to still persist. Any solutions? Im currently about 30 hours into this character so making a new save game is just hard for me.

I remember a lot of issues with the scenes, but not with getting her to speak at all. But, to start with, make sure you have all the requirements installed, including the correct version of Fuz for your version of Skyrim and if you have a voice pack: make sure it is updated to the latest version, so that there are no conflicts with the esp.  Starting over (before the quest) can address weird issues like this, too.

Yes, one of the slaves can tell you where to look, but you must do her a favour first.

Not telling more, this is a nice oldschool riddle that took me about an hour to solve the first time.

At first I wanted to write a summary - I have written notes on all the tasks - but then I thought to myself... don't spoil the fun of the search and the joy when you finally have solved one of the tasks
