I would have said journalists are professional assholes before I read the article but now I can confidently say that journalists are professional assholes.?

Twinkie's articles are always good for a laugh. He must have his head shoved pretty far up his ass (no offense, Greg) to not know about the things he writes about. Or he does know and he's trying to play dumb. Or just plain is dumb. :classic_tongue:

Sure because that's the exact sort of nuanced and thoughtful presentation guaranteed to promote thought out and civil discussion about the site.

Honestly, I don't quite get what some of you are so upset about. I quite liked the article, in fact I had to chuckle a few times. The author even provided links to a variety of mods for different games (no kidding about the "not safe for work place" warning, lol), spoke with a few mod authors, and gave a rather brief but I think not too far off the mark overview of the "adult modding scene" and its (well, let me say: occasional) absurdities. This wasn't an attack or something malicious. Obviously the author has opinions too and pokes some fun at the modding scene but it was all lighthearted, and besides, what's even wrong with that?

He found some nice phrases to describe what is going on here: "And yet, the world's thirstiest modders were undeterred. " ... " But it's hard not to laugh at the absurdity of it all, and how brazen their compulsion to see smut at all times appears to be. " ... "That's a wicked dedication to horniness I can't help but grudgingly respect." -- sums up quite nicely what's happening, I think. ?

Gaming...journalism? Do those two words go together?

They don't it's just an made up title to make people with no real talent feel better about themselves.

Out of the three reviews/articles about LL i've read so far this one is the least negative so at this rate when someone decides to write article four we may actually move into a endorsement if the trend continues

i mean i think the only time people take "gaming journalism" seriously is when it feeds into whatever narrative they might be spewing at that moment, it's issues are in such a disconnect with real life that i dont even bother reading articles anymore because their only purpose is to rake in the clicks.
