There was so much BULLSHIT flooding Nexus they had to give it it's own search tab. And good mods get buried there all the time. Someone can spend ten minutes in an editor and get a top rated mod over someone who spent weeks or months on a fresh concept with new scripting, meshes and real content. There is no accounting for tastes at Nexus. It is an ENB/Companion mod site, as far as Skyrim goes.
