When the Invite key fails to start an engagement then check the Recent Creature Engagement Failures list on the Help page and look for the creature, hover over the entry to see an explanation of the failure at the bottom of the window.  The Target Select key is used to view an actor suitability notification, to select an actor for some dialogue options, for cleaning and for collar options.  When the General Settings > Debug option is enabled using the Target Select on an actor will show additional information as a notification which can also be reviewed in the console. Thanks for clearing that up. Unfortunately in my case, any form of invite doesn't show anything under the Recent Creature Engagement Failures list. I try just a press of the invite key, or hold for the 1sec or 2sec one, nothing works. There's no message indicating an "invite" has been sent.  Not sure if its an issue with this or something further, as I am also having issues with the irresistibly attractive spells as it is not working at all, only the sexlab debug works but couldn't do multiple partners.

If you are not even getting a notification when pressing the default N key then there is something seriously wrong with the installation. It suggests that the Aroused Creatures player script is not running which would mean that nothing will work. Â Reinstall Aroused Creatures and make sure it is not being overridden by anything. If you are still seeing issues then I would need to see a papyrus log.

Right now I'm just on a process of simply unchecking other mods for interference, since I did install a bunch of the SL-related stuff like Defeat, SLEN, etc but so far not working. Checking the logs, I see a lot but I'm not knowledgeable about these so hre you go. Papyrus.0.log

It looks like the installs of Aroused Creatures and some other mods are corrupt or incomplete, perhaps missing script files. Make sure nothing is overriding Aroused Creatures and test in a new game.  I also see some speculation that the "invalid object" errors could mean an issue with the game engine being unable to process the scripts properly. This might indicate an issue with the game installation itself. Probably worth verifying the files via Steam. If you have ever installed anything manually or using NMM or Vortex then consider a clean install of Skyrim just to be sure.

Strange that some are working completely fine like ODefeat / SL Defeat while others aren't working at all. I'll go ahead and do a re-install and install the mods a few at a time. According to MO2 the only script problems that I am having is for NetImmerse Override but that's about it. Oh well. Â EDIT: Before I did a re-install, I continued just unchecking the majority of the mods. I also removed most of the animations as well, and started a new character (since a lot of threads reported that uninstalling scripts for old saves causes issues) and what do you know, the mod finally works! The select thing works as well as invite creature. However, I unchecked a ton of mods so gonna be a while to find the culprit, but I'm happy that I got some progress out of this. (I am INCREDIBLY new to modding so it could be something wrong on my end and I'll continue to try and see if I can fix it. Was just curious though.

Summons and familiars are pretty buggy when it comes to dialogue. Besides that, the reason summons would normally be rejected by Aroused Creatures is that they don't persist long enough to start an animation and certainly not long enough to complete one. I don't think there is a way to extend the duration of an existing summon. Â The planned option would provide a toggle for PC/NPCs to enable auto engaging familiars and commanded actors (summons). Disabling this would only block auto engagement so they can still be engaged through direct invite. Â There's a ways to go before the next update is ready. Still lots of bugs.

Turns out I can get it to work just dork me was trying to use it with one of the summons from Phenderix Magic Evolved lol. Was able to do an invite with a regular boneman (Fully did the animation too) but the one I tried it with was actually an ash hopper from said mod. Those summons tend to stay around for like thousands of seconds. Maybe someday they'll work in tandem XD (Tested again. seems the phenderix is what causes the menu to fade away on summons lol. still fun watching them go after and fuck the castle guards) Edited September 25, 2021 by Mikeal69 Details.
Sailing Rebel Posted October 4, 2021 Author Posted October 4, 2021 Just uploaded SexLab Aroused Creatures SE v4.07. Â The big change this time is something you will hopefully not even notice which is the remove of the ActiveMagicEffect scripts used to track actor events. These were only handling OnHit and OnCombatStateChnaged events but since they were attached via spell it was impossible to track actors carrying them once they were unloaded. Using indiscriminate ActiveMagicEffects for this is just bad practice and it's something I've been meaning to get away from. The new quest alias script attachment is much more manageable, controllable and self-limiting. Â The Aggressive Animations page got a lot of attention this time around and should be more reliable and functional... but still slow as hell. Â Everything else is minor features, bug fixes, some clean up and build out for future stuff. Â SexLab Aroused Creatures SE v4.07 (40010) (2021-10-05): Added: Option to permanently block targeted actors from automatic engagements: use Target Select key on actor then find the block/allow option on the Help MCM page. Added: Option to exclude familiars / summons from automated engagements for PC and/or NPCs - invitation bypasses restriction. Added: Option to select initial page when opening the Aroused Creatures MCM (Other Settings > Fixes). In case of problems hold down LCTRL when selecting AC MCM page to bypass initial page selection. Added: Debug Shaders option in General Settings > Performance that applies detection glow to creatures and NPCs found and processed by the SLAC. This highlights creatures found by the initial scan cloak in red, then highlights a creature currently being processed in orange, and finally highlights any NPCs scanned by that creature's process in blue. Added: Experimental VR compatibility option (Other Settings) which, for now, simply adds a fallback for the absence of crosshair events. These events are still required for handling mounts so if using this then horse dialogue should be disabled under Dialogue & Interactions. Added: Warning message when enabling General Settings > Debug if any of the related INI settings are not set (bEnableLogging = 1, bEnableTrace = 1, bLoadDebugInformation = 1). Debug can still be enabled with the warning Changed: ActiveMagicEffect scripts for actor event tracking moved to quest aliases for better management. That should be the last of the old-style cloak effects removed. The legacy clean-up functions will remain in place at least until the next beta. There are still AME scripts but they are applied individually and directly such as the target select spell. Changed: Victim scanning system updated to allow increase in NPC limit and provide base for future functionality build-out. Changed: Aggressive Animations MCM page updated to move filtering and bulk tag updating from the home page to the animation list display. Fixed: Dialogue features still available even when mod disabled in MCM (General Settings > Mod Active). Fixed: PC interrupted by auto engagement during invite animation. Fixed: Profile page requiring manual page reload to show changes after saving. Fixed: Other Options > Allow Combat Engagements test mode not functioning while player in combat state. Reminder that this option is for testing purposes only and will cause issues with combat. Fixed: Incorrectly cast references in NPC scanning and suitor handling which caused minor unpredictable behaviour. Fixed: NPC cooldown displaying PC cooldown in MCM (display error only). Fixed: NPC Global Cooldown setting recorded incorrectly in profiles. Fixed: Aggressive Animations list pagination not working when filtered by race and/or tag. Fixed: Loading profiles with empty allowed creature race lists causing all races to become disallowed. The only time a profile will have an empty allowed race list is if the profile is saved before creatures are enabled in the SexLab config. 2

Check the Aroused Creatures MCM > Help page. This will list potential configuration issues with Aroused Creatures or SexLab. It will also show why recent engagements failed. Hover over the name of the actor in the failure list to see an explanation and possible solution.
Papersword Posted October 7, 2021 Posted October 7, 2021 (edited) With the new update, when directly inviting creatures via hotkey the engagement fails. The Help section states the reason "Invite". I tried cleaning the player as suggested in the Help section, but the failure still occurs.  PS: Even after an animal began to follow me as a suitor, directly inviting him with the hotkey leads to a failure. Edited October 7, 2021 by Papersword

Sailing Rebel Posted October 8, 2021 Author Posted October 8, 2021 (edited) Just uploaded SexLab Aroused Creatures v4.08 (40011) (2021-10-08). Â This is mainly bug fixes for 4.07. However, Suitors got some much needed attention as it turns out there were a lot of bugs in there that must have been hanging around since the feature was added. Using suitors should make more sense now as you can use it allow creatures to identify themselves as available for invitation even with auto engagement disabled but can also just keep nearly aroused creatures close enough to jump on the PC when they reach the threshold for auto engagement. Â SexLab Aroused Creatures SE v4.08 (40011) (2021-10-08): Fixed: Direct Invites broken after update. Fixed: Dialogue invitations allowing invitation of hostile creatures or creatures that cannot be animated. Fixed: Menu conditions causing trace log errors. Fixed: Suitors functionality blocked while both PC and NPC auto engagements are disabled. Fixed: Trans options not applying to suitors. Fixed: Misleading option name for Suitor arousal configuration (option applies to PC arousal not creature - creatures use the invite threshold) Fixed: PC suitors cleared incorrectly when starting NPC engagement animation. Â Remember to uninstall any patches you have for SLAC when updating. Edited October 8, 2021 by Sailing Rebel 2
DashMeUp Posted October 12, 2021 Posted October 12, 2021 Please help, my character keeps getting raped by dogs and I have tried to stop this by removing dogs from the allowed creature list, turning off this mod entirely, turning off sexlab defeat and it won't stop. A message pops up top left corner saying (tries to overpower you) then a menu pops up asking whether I want to submit and be a slave, submit sex only or resist but when I hit resist it never works and my character is raped. How do I stop this, it comes up at really inconvenient times like during a quest. I used to get a message before saying that my character is being pursued by a horse or dog but now it just goes straight to this message and dialogue. Is this still aroused creatures? I also have to struggle meter show up, using the hotkey for struggling does nothing. Please help! Going into towns is really starting to give me anxiety

Maybe another creature mod or a slavery mod based on the options.  If you are not able to determine which one from their descriptions then you'll need to go through your mod list and disable the SL mods one at a time until it stops.

I also had a similar issue with Sanguine's Debauchery, but the options were different in that case. It seems to be a bit of an issue with Creature Framework and mods that give non-hostile NPC's the option to rape/enslave the player. I could be wrong with the specifics there, but that seems like what is going on.Â

It's not capable of starting an animation or providing any other interaction.
