The issuses are AFT. I had the same problems until i uninstalled that poorly written mod. Don't claim it's Ivy when in fact it's definitely AFT that messes with her Ai.

How is the issue with AFT? Ivy is NOT being managed by AFT, and if AFT is so poorly written, how come it functions well with all the other companion mods? My point was not to bash the Ivy mod nor promote AFT, but to bring awareness to a Imo serious mod conflict, sorry I got your panties up in a bunch

Whether or not you have it clicked as not being managed, aft still manages Ivy. As soon as you add another follower Ivy gets registered even though it doesn't show in the menu. And no it doesn't function well with other companion mods. It don't work with Heather either, it messes her up as well. The only awareness you're bringing here is your lack of knowledge in modding. And trying to claim that there is something wrong with a particular mod when the actual case is your trying to force a mod to work with another that is incompatible.

Yeah! Just make a patch! So easy! And just add anims, based on an unstable framework that breaks every other week or so.

all this crap with multiple followers.. if you want to waltz around with an army.. don´t use Ivy.. if you want to have a companion.. use Ivy.. if you want more? use heather as well or ANY companion that does NOT register as companions.. Valkyrie and Sarah from PV are good choices.. it´s when you try to run around with a gazzillion followers you break ,not only Ivy but your damn game!!.. make a choice,Army or companion.. and stick with it.. oh, and Reginald... keep up the great work.. She´s a dear and i would never play without her again..

I just have to chuckle when I see people posting "I'm running the mod that X mod author says conflicts and it's doing just fine". Then Right after they post that X mod is causing issues with their game and not working correctly so X mod is broken. Gee Maybe perhaps the mod author knew what they were talking about, after slogging through beth code for months, when they said that the other mod conflicted and would cause issues?! NAaah that couldn't possibly be the case ?‍♂️

If I had a quarter for every time someone asked for support, claimed they weren't using AFT, only to find out that they were using it (either through their savegames or load order). Then I'd have  5 dollars by now, for sure!

I am the creator of Ivy and all her code. I created this mod and took personal time to support it for months. Resulting in two threads with over 120 pages in total of support. I know my shit.

 

Let me tell you this in plain english.

 

AFT Does not work. Its code is not stable.

Ivy is NOT intended to work with AFT nor is it SUPPORTED when AFT Is in any form or way installed or active on your machine.

The same goes for any other multi-companion mod.

 

Now you have two choices:

- Remove yourself from this thread

- Ask for support in a normal and proper manner after removing AFT from your installation, while remaining respectful to other posters and the creator of the mod (ME).

 

If you cannot find yourself to do this, your posts will be censored and I will report your activities in this thread as trolling of my mod.

This is your one and only warning.

 

Also, congratulations! In over 9 months of support and speaking with thousands of users, you are the ONE poster that managed to piss me off to no extent. Kudos to you on that.

I really don't get how anyone would want to use a mod to have tons of followers. Fallout's engine as it is barely handles 2 let alone more than that. I glady gave up AFT for Ivy. She is the best follower hands down, best in any follower mods in the series?

I use Ivy with AAF and a lot of the AAF sex mods. She works fine with no bugs or glitches that i've noticed. AAF even redresses her so it definitely works.

Alright Reginald. I downloaded Ivy last night, but haven't got to really mess around with it till tonight. As far as I can tell, only problem I ran into was the radio not wanting to start-up or update the quest beyond "Tune into WIVS radio." However, easily by passable if people read the description. LMAO. Once I did the quest bits and redeemed the voucher..........DEAR FUCKING GOD the voice lines are hilarious. Even more so Chic's voice. It's perfect. Her interjections at random points into the conversations is even better. So, I give 10/10 in that department.

While well constructed straight out of the gate when it comes to character companions........me being the person I am I did a bit of changing to the body and gave her a set of armor for my own personal taste along with reconstructing her face a bit with different hair. So, all in all, the fundamental features of being able to do so is amazing and I love it.

So i finally actually for the first time made it halfway through the main story line. While Joining the BOS and heading to the Pryden, she actually says a lot of things i've never heard her talk  about before in my 232 hours of playing on this save. Of course it was short lived cause some behemoth threw a boulder at us and it crashed into the water, where i couldn't get out lmao. I also liked the fact on how she actually started a conversation on her own with me when i met Elder Maxon, asking me to protect her. After that i had no choice but to murder his ass.

I made her from the get-go without putting a lot of effort into her looks. I used the CK and literally just 'clicked a bit' to make her look a little different.

But I always thought people will change their companions to their likings any way, with all the customization possibilities out there.

Agreed, I'm reworking the look and so far, what I have gotten to with Chic's voice, it's giving me giggle fits all over the place and even something as simple as doing quests is more bareable in some instances and not boring. So once again, thank you for the mod.

Is there no comments from Ivy after killing Elder Maxon? I blew his head off but she said nothing. Figured there would be recorded lines for that seeing as she wants to kill him. Or does she only say something if you do it during a mission where you kill him if you join the institute?

Sorry for what's about to be a long ish post.

 

So 76's various failings have made me want to go back and play fallout 4, but then i realized ivy's still waiting on an update that will require a new save game, and thats something i dont want to miss. I instead decided to play fallout 3, so i went through the process of installing the necessary mods to have a bit of "fun" and a few things i used to run with back when i still played it heavily. So one of the mods i installed happened to be Ties that bind, a companion mod that gave the main character a sister, a voiced character that would go through the whole game with you and had her own story. I started playing and in megaton after i accepted the quest for the survival guide (for what may be the hundredth time in my life) the sister had a voice line "cant we just tell her we did it?" that reminded me of ivy. Now i'm forming an entire head cannon that my fem-wanderer's sister is actually ivy. Because of events that take place in the mod/fallout 3, there is a major part where she either dies, or stays behind when you go attack the enclave in the last mission. My head cannon is that because of all the stress they've delt with, and fem-wanderer's death at the battle of the purifier, Sis goes crazy, starts using fem-wanderer's drug stash, then goes north and becomes a raider. 

 

This then cuts into where my head cannon for the future playthrough of four starts, having pissed off the institute helping harkness, one of their agents infiltrated the brotherhood and kidnapped/killed her during the battle, and the institute decided since she was a very special individual, they'd make a synth-clone of her with major new upgrades (SEE: the theory from shoddycast *austin*  that the main character is a new prototype synth) and ivy's story of being a raider turned synth, i'm going for the whole "reunited but they dont remember each other or anything they've been through" thing.

 

is my head cannon fucked up? yeah probably, but hey, ivy's said worse.

This is going to be an interesting few playthroughs.

 

edit: it's a good way to explain why ivy's so fucked up, and their very sudden closeness upon meeting.
