(Terribly off-topic - I apologize...)

At this point I have over 100 hours in Fallout 76. I play solo and have never been bothered by other players. 

Fallout 76 is not my choice for a Fallout game - but I am enjoying it. Some of the Quests are incredibly involved. Stories of lies and betrayal actually shook me.

If you talk to people who actually play the game, rather then those who spend their time hating on it - you might find it is pretty decent.

Don't bother, I bought it and played it up to level 50, it is unbelievably bad on bad, they used the same engine from fallout 4, basically its recycled fallout 4 but the server disconnects are impossible when you lose game progress every time, the weapon damage ratio is horrible, the perk system is confusing, and so on. Worst of all, Bethesda doesn't know how to fix this and they cut themselves off from modders who do.. Sad though because I really like the scorched. And the wendigo reminds me so much of Smeegle from lord of the rings. lol It does have its fun moments but very few.  Nowadays the most fun players have is crashing the servers deliberately. LOL

For Fo76, I'll buy it in a year from now or so, when it's cheap and on sale.

The reason is mostly because she has about 10 times more dialogue then regular vanilla companions.

The real nasty of all of this is that vanilla companions don't necessarily have less dialogue overall, for instance, Piper has over 12.000 lines of dialogue (!) .. But.. they've placed it in the wrong place often, so players usually miss nearly 50% of vanilla companion dialogue. If you want to get all of their lines, you're forced to ask for their 'thoughts' in every location, and after each different quest stage. Ivy works differently, instead of the player having to ask this, she will just offer her opinions. :)

 

I have been thinking of adding these chatter routines to some regular vanilla companions, so that they act more like Ivy does.

I expect there is a wealth of dialogue still to be found in vanilla companions, that rarely pops up during normal gameplay.

That would be wonderful if you could find a way to do this. None of them could ever replace Ivy, but it'd still create a whole new game and experience with the vanilla followers we actually enjoy traveling with.

I agree with you whole heartedly Fred. i have easily over 100 hours ofr playtime.  I play both solo and with arranged teams just like @Chic Geek is doing in her stream.  i too have run across several compelling stories of surviviors trying to make the best of a bad situation.

 

The launch of this game was poorly handled and the recent patches have cleaned up the game a lot.  But the loss of credibility is going to take time and effort on Bethesda's part to earn back.

 

A lot of the negative opinion and positive opinion i beleive comes from simply how you play the game.  At this point I am not sure what leads to the deeply negative perspectives.  Some ppl are clearly pissed at Bethesda for ruining the franchise in their minds.  To me it's a game and little more.  I think it is great that i can share and assist friends in questing and exploring.  

 

Reginald i encourage you to pick up the game during Christmas sales.

I have no info either on @Chic Geek's happenings.

Perhaps the channels were closed due to the whole PC thing going on?

 

Sometimes it feels like a dark looming storm, destroying art forms and tainting expressions of art with it's viral PC-ness, only to distort them into unrecognizable husks of what they once were (e.g. Doctor Who).

Check post #2177 of the RSE thread, I think it may have something to do with it. Though personally, I just choose to keep out of what could very well be private affairs.

many many thx for IVY, i love her realy :)

 

Realy great work, i love her interaction with me and other NPC's, at the moment my favorit is if she tell Preston some things when he have another " oh there is someone how need's help"

aso .  :)

 

Sometimes i am not able to play for a few moment because of one of her commends.

 

P.S. sorry about my bad english, but i think you understand what i mean.

Finally my (real) work/job ended for this year. I have 3 weeks of holiday, which I will be dedicating to Ivy.

 

Been running through the Commonwealth with my current Ivy, tweaking, fixing, "making better". The devil is in the details, so I'm focusing on those.

I've been going through the add-ons I made, debugging them. For instance, the Porn Collector Mags were screwing up with the perks, which I need to tweak, etc..etc..

 

There is a lot of stuff coming up for Ivy in 2019, so hold on to your hats!

Hey @Reginald_001 love this mod! But do you know what happened to @Chic Geek and her YouTube channel? All her videos are gone. There is what looks like a new channel using her name, and maybe it is her, but its only got one subscriber (me!) and no content, https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCLxL43315yxbloxBvCNl_iQ I was hoping you or @Flashy (JoeR) might know? I discovered both Ivy and RSE through her video reviews so it kind of sucks to see her channel go away. I'm hoping it was a decision she made and not a YouTube ban or some such shit. Thanks all!
