all this crap with multiple followers.. if you want to waltz around with an army.. don´t use Ivy.. if you want to have a companion.. use Ivy.. if you want more? use heather as well or ANY companion that does NOT register as companions.. Valkyrie and Sarah from PV are good choices.. it´s when you try to run around with a gazzillion followers you break ,not only Ivy but your damn game!!.. make a choice,Army or companion.. and stick with it.. oh, and Reginald... keep up the great work.. She´s a dear and i would never play without her again..

I couldn't agree more. I've been using Ivy along with Valkyrie, Sarah, and Owen from Project Valkyrie w/o any problems. That being said with numerous followers it does add to the annoyance factor i.e. sneaking, companion or 2 getting in the way etc. So just stick with one companion instead of having an army following you around and maybe messing you game up.

Me I'll just stick with "IVY" girl. ;)

And Reginald... fantastic work. Kudos to you and Geek Chic. Hoping there'll be more content for Ivy to be added in the future. :D

Is there no comments from Ivy after killing Elder Maxon? I blew his head off but she said nothing. Figured there would be recorded lines for that seeing as she wants to kill him. Or does she only say something if you do it during a mission where you kill him if you join the institute?

She only incorporates into existing dialogue. So likely if you do it 'just like that' she won't comment on it. :)

Sorry for what's about to be a long ish post.

So 76's various failings have made me want to go back and play fallout 4, but then i realized ivy's still waiting on an update that will require a new save game, and thats something i dont want to miss. I instead decided to play fallout 3, so i went through the process of installing the necessary mods to have a bit of "fun" and a few things i used to run with back when i still played it heavily. So one of the mods i installed happened to be Ties that bind, a companion mod that gave the main character a sister, a voiced character that would go through the whole game with you and had her own story. I started playing and in megaton after i accepted the quest for the survival guide (for what may be the hundredth time in my life) the sister had a voice line "cant we just tell her we did it?" that reminded me of ivy. Now i'm forming an entire head cannon that my fem-wanderer's sister is actually ivy. Because of events that take place in the mod/fallout 3, there is a major part where she either dies, or stays behind when you go attack the enclave in the last mission. My head cannon is that because of all the stress they've delt with, and fem-wanderer's death at the battle of the purifier, Sis goes crazy, starts using fem-wanderer's drug stash, then goes north and becomes a raider.

This then cuts into where my head cannon for the future playthrough of four starts, having pissed off the institute helping harkness, one of their agents infiltrated the brotherhood and kidnapped/killed her during the battle, and the institute decided since she was a very special individual, they'd make a synth-clone of her with major new upgrades (SEE: the theory from shoddycast *austin*  that the main character is a new prototype synth) and ivy's story of being a raider turned synth, i'm going for the whole "reunited but they dont remember each other or anything they've been through" thing.

is my head cannon fucked up? yeah probably, but hey, ivy's said worse.

This is going to be an interesting few playthroughs.

edit: it's a good way to explain why ivy's so fucked up, and their very sudden closeness upon meeting.

I think it's good headcannon, yet her history as Deborah and why she became a raider is worked out in much more detail in the next upcoming release, which adds quite a few stories about her past. :)

Update on the ESM: I'm about to ship off the new dialogue to Chic for recording, but it will take a while yet before I can release.

Real Life has really caught up with me, with things from the divorce suddenly coming back to haunt me, medical problems, a completely ruined Doctor Who.. (I mean.. what the FUCK are they trying to do there??).. Long story short, stuff is catching up with me, forcing me to spend less time with Ivy as I would like to.

IVY and FALLOUT 4 are FAR FROM DEAD.

There are 6 upcoming mods, updates & addons all to be released in 2019

- The Museum of Pornograpy as narrated by Ivy (robot / Chic geek).

- The Porn Collector (25 unique porn magazines you can find in the world to collect).

- The Insave Ivy 5.0 release, which will likely be the 'final' (BASE) iteration of Ivy as we know her.

- Far Harbour DLC (Ivy does Far Harbour).

- Nuka World DLC (Ivy does Nuka World).

- Ivy's Robotic Apocalypse (Ivy does the Robot DLC).

Not to derail the thread, but I am disheartened to hear your comments about Jodie Whitaker's Doctor. I had been holding off on watching this season until it was all available to watch and have been avoiding all spoilers and/or commentary on it so that I can go in without opinion. As a longtime Whovian, I find it ... well, it sets my mind at unease, for the Doctor is the one constant in my personal life that has always had a healing effect on me and if this season is found to be lacking or in any way other than hoped for (something akin to Tennant or Smith), well, I fear I wont be able to use it to refocus myself...

Other consideration in life noted, I hope all swings around in a more positive way for you soon mate. Truly.

DW is exactly that for me as well. I really did try to like it. I was positively surprised the first two episodes, now.. it's just a side-by-side show.. It doesn't stir anything inside me and I feel awful about it. Nah.. it actually feels like Fallout 76...

So currently, Legends of Tomorrow (and the other DC shows) are sort of filling that role.. It has the same feel good material and light hearted mood I always loved in Doctor Who. (In fact, it's the closest thing to a US version of Doctor Who and now they've added Constantine the soup is finally flavored just right)..

What I miss most though, is Moffat's superb skill in dialogue, the dialogue just lacks that edge.. that sharpness that made Sherlock and Doctor Who so great. The devil, really IS in the details.

Oh, makes sense lol. I'll actually have to take the rest of the main quest seriously then. I haven't even actually played the entire main questline yet since i bought the game on release day?

Yep. Moffat's writing of Smith was the biggest healer for me, sharp wit aside - just those expressions of 'you can overcome anything adverse' and 'good thing / bad things' - that last one especially. Yep. Moffatt may have been a troll, but at least he ... gave hope to those who needed it, just as the sound of the Tardis does for millions of people across the Universe.

I actually quite liked it. And as I was unspoiled there were some big surprise moments in there for me. That said, the amount of time I spent with Fo4 proves that I think it's the best game I've had to date. The only games I played more were Q1 and Q3 back in the day... (!)

Amen to that, brother.

I clicked on her to open the dialogue for the first time after a fresh download, and in a snarky voice she said 'by your command'.... turning off prostitution and keeping her all to myself im totally sold XD
that being said I didn't see any part for this. I don't mind her being filthy, but the watersports for example were a touch much. do I need to set for profanity off or a 'middle' option? super kudos past that.

as an aside for the 5.0 light on the horizon, will this require a new save completely as the 32 and beyond upgrade did? just checking so I don't load her on other characters if so

AAF may be a beta, but in it's current state is more stable and better maintained than some of the crap coming out of Creation Club. Seriously, since about .30 or so, it's been rock solid and stable as hell.

From someone who has to deal with looking after the kids by myself while dealing with health problems and a ex misses I know how things can knock you back sometimes . You doing a great job with IVY and the A1 support you give on the forum and your dealing with your own shit in real life you don't need to apologize or anything your doing great.

I gave up on doctor who, when the the last doctor happened,

All the best.

While it would be nice. At the same time, kinks are still being worked out of everything and on top of that, animations as far as I can see are still pretty limited. I was doing the quest for Sturges and Ivy interrupted saying, normal sex and etc. The scat part being an extra 700 caps. That is where it would still be limited. Until the animations are fully flowing out of the wood works than what is out there already, you would still be very limited on half the things she says to begin with. Honestly, while having AAF makes it nice to do "things." I prefer the vocals in the mod due to the simple fact of her random interactions along with her getting snippy, especially with the Brotherhood of Steel. It's amusingly hilarious to hear. Especially trying to go for a three faction friendly ending.

I stayed away because of our difference of opinion on the new DW & I didn't want to poison any kind of rapport we have. I did mention that I didn't care for the new show runner, and since I still refuse to watch it, I see that I was not wrong. I didn't mention it, back then when you mentioned that she was playing it like Tennent (or maybe written like it), that would be a devastator as well on this "New" DW. Chibnaill ( or how ever it is spelled) can not think of anything original, he somewhat was a fluke for Broadchurch, but that was it. Why try to be exactly as the past unless you can't think of anything good? A new Doctor should be a "NEW Doctor", with traits that have not been introduced. 9th was different than 8th. 10th was different than 9th. 11th was different than 10th. 12th was different than 11th. 13th is same as 10th?

Makes no sense. Again, this is just an opinion given and not meant as a fact.

It is mentioned there, as well as in 2 Ivy Vlogs, but it's no problem to restate it for clarity purposes. :)

The ESM will be a different base as the ESP version will be dropped. This means you'll need to start a new game for the ESM to work properly.

She will receive a new BaseID, which will stay the same from then on in, so other plugins can be based off of this.

First two ep's started out good. Then it sank, mostly because it just stayed like that. She has no character or traits, other than her annoying 'FAM' all the time, and her perpetually confused look. I think that look stems from the fact that she herself is as confused as to what is expected from her as the rest of the actors are.

Then... in other things.. there is quality... it's strange. Cinematography is great, production values are great, effects are good, music and sound is good.

It's like it has almost all the right ingredients, but the mix just doesn't work.

So disheartening. The whole back half of this year has sucked and the only small joy I was expectant of was a new season of Doctor Who, with an empowered and intelligent, strong female lead. Truth, my only true hope for joy, Doctor Who. And now, crushed. I just cant even bring myself to watch it at all after seeing these last couple of posts. :(?

Come on, it's not that bad, it will not ruin your life further if you watch it, who knows it might even bring you a few chuckles. As a long time whovian, I think it is a step up from the disasterous season with Peter Capaldi. Episode two was great and the one with Rosa Parks was cute. The rest isn't bad, but it does seem to lack a direction. For me the doctor will always be Tom Baker, it is one of my earliest tv memories that had an impact on me. As for the doctor after the reboot, Christopher Eccleston is in my opinion without a doubt the best, to bad he did only one season. But lets not slaughter Jodie Whittaker. I don't think it is her fault or the other actors fault, it is the writers fault. She is not just able to have a permantly confused expression, she can also have a permantly pissed off expression which she shows very well in Broadchurch where David Tennant plays the main character.

I too recall Tom Baker vividly from childhood. Specifically the Genesis of the Daleks series. As a small child of about 3 or 4, I saw this on TV and Davros scarred me for life. I mean, for real. I still feel all churned up inside, even now, when I see him. The ghosts of things past.

But no, I totally want to at least watch it - I was just excited about a female lead and about the possibilities of Chibnall's writing. Broadchurch was aces and he did pen some rather good episodes of New Who (Matt Smith's The Power of Three comes to mind). I was simply hoping for more glowing endorsements for her portrayal. Perhaps she plays the mother of a murdered child better than a Time Lady though... Either way, one day I will sit down and watch them all, perhaps after the New Years Day special (boo to the lack of Xmas day specials... I spend Xmas alone every year and that was always the highlight of that most lonely day).

appreciate the update. I actually apparently didn't read deep enough cus it didn't click there was a move to ESm and thus obvious differences. gotta reset my in depth institute character sadly.. but that just means I do my one doomed ivy playthrough while I wait and kinda just let my other alts drool in eager anticipation.

I love the little references and definitely endorse and thank you for this labor you let us love ^.~ looking forward to 5.0
