ZAZ Animation Packs for SE

Mostly it's a dependency for a number of other mods, even though not all of them need the restraint system - for example, it's a common source of the Leito kissing animation.

Forgive me for possibly being a bit dense, but I'm not actually sure what files I need to download to install the latest version of this. Do I just need the 8+ pack for the appropriate body type or do I also need one of the other downloads to act as a prerequisite?

You need just one pack.

I seem to have run into several bugs, though given the severity of the first two and the fact that no one else has mentioned them yet, I suspect I might just be doing something wrong.

 

When I tried to do a bodyslide batch build with 8.0+ CBBE installed, I got an error about BreastRopeExtreme (no number) missing a .nif file. This does not occur in the flat 8.0 CBBE pack.

 

Similarly, with the 8+, but not the 8, pack I get warnings about incompatible .htx files when I run FNIS and have it check for compatibility. It also seems to just generally break FNIS.

 

On a less severe note, while 8 seems to work, it doesn't seem to respect Sex Lab's gender setting. So, if I give my female character a cock via SoS and set her to male, she still gets locked out of male animations, which is a bit disappointing.

This is a knwn issue for all 4 packs from 8 and 8+ even in the oldrim versions. The slider data is looking for a non existing model,  I still havent found it the file that causes this , so I was not able to delete it. And because it will not cause harm and is rather cosmetically, it has no priority right now.

I'm checking that right now, maybe i have forgotten to convert the hkx files...

Zaz knows only two genders. You bring it into trouble....

The same is true for sex lab, but SL will let you tell it to pretend your character is the opposite gender and several other mods are able to respect that. Allowing zaz to grab its gender information from SL, instead of the game would be enough of a fix.

Hm.. a good suggestion, but you are asking the wrong one. What I do is bringing it to SE and doing a little maintance. The focus is: Keeping the compatibility to all oldrim mods that depend on ZAZ so that further ports are possible. I might integrate little patches, that work on the oldrim versions, too. But right now this is not the time to add something new as long as it isn't working in odrim, too. And I also don't want to add something new before the old stuff is fixed. You might ask T.ara if he has any plans for that or check if there is already a fitting patch for the oldrim version.

That's probably a good way approach things. Honestly, it's not that high of a priority for me either, so I'll probably send them a message, but only after I've gotten other things worked out (partially so I can see if an extent solution gets ported in the meantime).

For the record, there are a couple scripts that would need updating: zbfSexLab is the major one (easy to change), but also zbfBondageShell (not as easy) which needs gender for gag sounds.

Incidentally, when ZAP adds a masturbating actor (I'm not entirely sure what this means) it does so using the SL gender. That's the only other place gender gets used.

The other packs are to big to load them up directly, so I put them behind some links to mega. Well, might be my fault, i have been dealing with 5 different Zap and 5 differend DD packs at the same time...I might have messed up something in one of the packs.

i've installed the ported version on skyrim se but for some reason when i click the option permanently tied the pose does not change. Even the gags option does not seem to work as well

I found where to delete the breastropeextreme. As someone else mentioned (I don't recall where) it's not a file to delete, but something that needs to be done in BodySlide.

I selected breastropeextreme from the top left drop down, clicked the 'x' next to it, and was prompted if I really wanted to delete it. After deleting it, no more build errors in BodySlide.

Upgraded to 8+ last night and no problems so far, except for the one Bodyslide error mentioned that I just ignored! I've had no CTDs with DCL since upgrading ZaZ and furniture animations are working as they should :)

Thanks for all the good work! Loved the packs in oldrim, and was glad everything was just about able to make the jump to SE.

 

But I need to report that I updated to 8.0+ CBBE, and the game CTD's when an animation plays. I haven't actually gotten to the sex stuff yet, it's all been bondage animations. Gonna try the regular 8 pack, and if that doesn't fix it, go back to 7.

Seems like it was the "your heels make you trip" one. She was in the full bondage gear from the "captured princess" DCL LaL add on start. It was pretty much the only one that could trigger, and it crashed on both 8+ and 8. I put 7 back on: but I am unsure if there was enough time between that and managing to get out of the slave gear to trigger a random bondage related animation. I'll keep my eyes on it for the next time she's bound up... Or I can scavenge some leg bindings and make her walk in a circle till something happens.

 

Either way, I'll try to report back.

I don't know if this has been posted yet but when i have the zaz animation pack installed, my character has a permanent "worried" look on her face even if i'm not wearing any bondage gear, is there any way to to fix this? would rather not play with my character looking worried 100% of the time. I know its this mod because when i uninstall it her face back to the normal vanilla expression. would really love some help on this matter! it would be greatly appreciated!!

Facial expressions are not triggered by ZAZ, right now they are not even integrated in SL.

This sounds more like a problem of DDi / DCL, because they add this anim. But there are a lot of possibilities, how the alternative animations get mixed up....

It's probably DDI, as fnis states that DCL doesn't actually add any animations. So yeah, captured pricess start and the second she trips on her heels, instant CTD. Gonna go report this in the Devious devices thread as well. Might just be my copy got a little buggered up, or might be a standing (HA!) problem.

Im playing around in CK can I just drop down some zaz furniture on the ground and npcs can hop in them? Or do I have to add some kind of scripts to the furniture to make npc use them?

If you want to integrate them into the game, you have to place idle markers there, so the NPS can enter them without you being active.

I am a little bit lost here, any reason that  I need 7.0 over 8.0+ ? unless 8.0+ doesnt work for every mod that need zaz?

example for deviously-cursed-loot-se-beta it needs version 7, will version 8 work or not
