I always use the manual version and either use MO or install it myself where proper.

SkyUi works just fine with me with the current version.. the old version is toast in the 1.2.6 and up. Don't work properly. Don't know why.

With the mods being loaded around improperly sounds like some config file got messed up somewhere. There should be a config file or something with loot that can be refreshed or replaced or even checked. Do you make custom rules for your mods?

If you're talking to me, no. Nothing custom about it, just install, and fap play.

About SkyUI, can you be more specific?

Current SkyUI? MO? Both?

SkyUI? Did they just release another version? If so, I'm once again confused, as I am using MO - 1.2.6 (haven't had time to stop typing since I woke up, so haven't switched to the new version(s)), and my SkyUI is fine.

Switch from NMM to MO 1.2.6, everything seem to be OK except MO always pop-up error cannot write modorganizer.ini because same file already exist everytime I try to run external binary ie. GenerateFNIS, LOOT, SKSE.

Is it because Windows XP?

I've got an error with SkyUI and Racemenu.

Racemenu says I have 3 invalid base scripts.

SkyUI the inventory menu went back to vanilla, MCM remained however.

I'm gonna go back down to 1.2.6 for now.

I updated to Racemenu 2.8.0 today and installed Jcointainers, Familiar Faces, updated MO from 1.2.6 to 1.2.8 and resized textures down to 1k with Ordenator(not a factor).

No I was mentioneing this for the member (Contessa)that was having problem with SkyUI. I am using v4.1 The previous version ( 4.0) had crapped out when I went to use MO 1.2.5. Upgrading worked.

I just forgot to put her name in front

Went back down to 1.2.6 and everything works fine. I wish I could help you figure out what in the 1.2.8 update caused Racemenu and SkyUI's scripts to not fire, but I have no clue. But I do know that the MO update to 1.2.8 was the issue.

Something's preventing MO from adding lines to your ini. Unfortunately, I don't know what that something is. I've had no time to test anything lately. I'm so busy my head's spinning. I do know that MO works on XP, so your OS is fine.

You say everything works though, aside from the error? I have to wonder why running SKSE would give you an error like that. If you get any in-game problems, let me know. seeing an in-game error usually makes problems easier to identify.

Expect a new release soon then. New versions everywhere!

Thank you for the report, and I'm really glad your game's working with 1.2.6. I can't really give solutions for a version I haven't glad time to test myself yet. :P

Ah, shit, just as I upped to 1.2.8.

Good! See if it works for you. :D If you get no errors, then we can rule out the whole "new version has bugs" thing, and take a different approach to troubleshooting. Me? I'm heading over to Nexus to see wtf is going on.

I have yet to fire up the game after a weekend's worth of work.

I hear that!

I'll be back tomorrow (today now). Gonna read a bit on Nexus, and then I need sleep. -_- Hopefully, things will be clearer then. Can't help anyone if I'm too tired to see strait.

There is no any ingame error, the game startup just fine.

The problem is just I have to click OK to 3-4 error report that MO cannot write to the .ini and other relate issues.

Will capture screen of each error tonight, it may help you to think about possibility.

I'm getting the same error. Windows XP as well.

Hopefully the maintainer doesn't fall into the "you should upgrade" mentality.

EDIT: The second error: "Failed to write settings" title, body of error says "An error occured trying to write back MO settings: The file name is too long. (errorcode 111)"

Okay. Go back to 1.2.6 everyone. There shouldn't be any problems with that version. MO is confirmed to break SkyUI. Sucks, but there you have it. I think I'll take a couple versions off the OP later today. No reason to have broken versions posted.

Good night. -_-

O_O

Wasn't 1.2.7 and 1.2.8 supposed to fix previous bugs that 1.2.6 had? BTW, when was the last time SkyUI was updated?

EDIT: Are you people sure it breaks SkyUI? I ran Skyrim and it doesn't look any different.

Kinda sad there's no update or even a comment yet. Breaking one of the most essential mods out there (SkyUI) should warrant some quick action, no? x.x :P

Ah well, waiting is the name of the game and I'm real patient. :) I have faith it'll be fixed soon.

After what happened at nexus, is there any change in release of Mod Organizer ?? I was wondering since the last time news came out about hack at nexus someone uploaded hack with Mod Organizer ??

The last thing we need someone upload a virus with a tool that is suppose to help not steal your stuff.

is there a way to combine (no, i didn't mean merge) the mods and turn it into some sort of droplist? it'll be easier to navigate through 500+ mods. my MO happen to did that once by itself, but went back to normal and i have no idea how to get it back.
