Get a cheap USB drive and regularly copy the whole of your skyrim there. e.g. a folder for june, july, one for august ...

Note to myself: do it yourself, too! Tomorrow! Last copy is from february ?

You pumped up Visuals quite much ?

But its still holds the cute adorable style you usually have.

Sucks to hear you had to do a complete reinstall. I have somehow managed to avoid needing that so far, so I can't imagine the frustration.

Very excited to see the new stories in your beautiful, revamped Skyrim

Glad you were able to pull everything back together after the Skypocalypse!  Can't wait to see the continuation of these stories!

Thank you, Drunna! Strangest thing about the drums. I also kept hearing those while doing the first few screenshots ? Must be a coincidence! ?

Kiki is great at breaking 4th wall and just generally traveling through all my stories. The staff at the end is the skull of corruption from the vanilla game. I just upgraded the graphics a little (ok, a LOT) and now it finally looks pretty menacing. I really like the design as well. It's just the right amount of creepy.

Yes, I generally tried to improve the visuals while still keeping previously used ENB so my overall style could stay the same.  I toyed with an idea of changing it, but I think if I suddenly went for a more somber and darker look my stories just wouldn't feel right.  And yep-yep, I'm back to writing my completely lore-friendly (well, they are lore-friendly in my book at least) tales. ?

It was either "Hey guys, so I broke my Skyrim" post or this.  I figured if I'm going to explain why most of my stuff now looks so different I might as well make something fun in the process. ? The frustration levels were no joke, though. I even dipped into my secret stash of chocolate chip cookies at some point! And those were supposed to be for emergencies only ?.

And new stories are already in the making! ?

Thanks, DJ! ☺️ Skypocalypse was a bit scary. But everyone pulled through alright.  As a result of it, some of my characters are on a well-deserved vacation right now.  The new (and old) stories should be able to cover for them, though. ?

Oh yes, I remember my first reinstall... The smell of a burnt hard drive, a list of over 200  mods to download, and unbridled enthusiasm... It seems everyone goes through it, sooner or later one way or another. Some go through it a few times, some even start to like it (It’s more like a masochistic kink, Aria knows).
Anyway, this is a very cute and beautifully decorated restart! Congratulations! *Impatiently monitor what is happening*

Must agree with Collygon here, that was an entertaining way to present a reinstall. So much that the graphical update make me wonder if you had moved on to Skyrim SE or something (until I remembered you started with that). Just one word of advice though : any jaxoning is stored within your saves, which means that they are meant to be temporary, otherwise they will mess up your game due to the bloating. In other words, if you need large amounts of durable edits, the Creation Kit is the way to go.

Now, in terms of entertainment, you did nice quiproquos/puns all along (for example with staff's size ^^), you've introduced a plethora of new characters, and you world is as colored as ever... I'm glad it recovered !

Thank you for the kind words, Tirloque!  I use separate profiles and separate saves for any scenes that have a jaxxoned surrounding, so nothing overwrites them (and in cases of smaller scenes I simply delete the save afterwards).  Skyrim SE still lacks many of the more refined textures and ENBs that can be found for LE, but it's slowly getting there.  With this new setup I was picking something that would provide pretty screenshots for storytelling while still allowing me to actually play the game (so nothing overly bright/dark/blurry etc).

You're right about a plethora of new characters. ? This is one of those moments when I'm glad that my blog is called " Skyrim's misAdventures" and not "Kiki's Tale"  because it definitely looks more like a collection of various stories.  I would love to be more organized and disciplined in my writing like most of the authors here (you and the chronicles of Mereth, Crw and the naughty nuns, Alter and gorgeous Nora, Spy and Cassidey and many, many others) but I tend to be inspired by the most random things so at best all of my tales are just somewhat loosely connected. ? Still, I think as long as they are fun for me to make and entertaining for the readers to follow along it all works out. ?

Dear Malicia, Kiki is definitely very intelligent and pretty, just like you! And she told me that you have a great culinary taste because you also like cookies!  I don't think Mrs Eira and Mr Cyrus would be able to marry, because their bosses wouldn't really approve of it. But because of their accidental binding they will be stuck together for some time, so we'll see more of their adventures at some point. ?

Such a great and creative way to deal with a situation like this!

If you need specific mods I think you can always just ask people most people have several hundred mods installed and if you're looking for something specific, especially for storytelling I'm sure someone has the mod you're looking for somewhere on his or her hardrive.

I was actually able to find one of the larger mods in the exact manner that you suggested - somebody on a different site had it. ☺️ As for smaller things I'll just do what I usually do - improvise! ?

As I've gotten most of the things in order, I'll try to have the new stories out soon(ish). ?

Thank you for the kind words, Veldon. I'm glad you found my little tales entertaining (and wow, you actually read even older entries about Kiki ?).

I still have plans for Kiki's Season 2, though that is probably for much later.  However I do have various smaller story scenarios about her adventures with Vulcun as well as Lady Eira and Cyrus's travels which I plan to post from time to time. Currently I am working mostly on Bunny's stories but the 4 characters that you mentioned sort of became the staple of my blog so we'll be definitely seeing more of them.  ?

I'm always happy to hear that a reader got a smile or two out of my stories. After all, that is one of the main reasons I write them - to entertain others (and myself, obviously ?).  Miss Holy Panties, aka Cassidey, was created by a wonderful author SpyVsPie and it was a lot of fun to write scenarios that involved her adventures with my own group of characters.

The roach and the harlot ( hey, there's a nice name for adventure series ?!) quickly became everyone's favorite duo even though they were supposed to be minor characters in the beginning.  As for Bunny and Trez - you are correct.  Pretty soon they might outshine Kiki and Vulcun.  Though we all know that the real star of Bunny's tale is Mr. Hoot! ?

In general I consider doing crossovers only once my characters are more or less established.  Kiki tends to travel across all of my tales as well as break the 4th wall rather often, so it is possible that we'll see her visit Bunny at some point.  Having Lady Eira (and her roach) meet with one of my Blackguards is an interesting idea.  I might have to think more on that, so thank you for the suggestion! ?

Even better: get yourself familiar with git (or another version control system) and put your skyrim installation under version control. I now have immediate access to several different configurations available (Skyrim and mod versions and all of the different versions are independent from eachother but coherent with themselves)

Thank you for the suggestion!  After that incident I have started backing everything up so hopefully now I am a bit more prepared for any time Skyrim decides that it doesn't want to cooperate. ?
