A question about physics...

 

Coming back to Skyrim; last played pre AE.

 

I've stubbornly stuck with UUNP since it came out.  And, thanks to @Vyxenne for her posts on how to manually copy the BodySlide references after the BodySlide author dropped UNP related support.   But now, I'm planning on switching to CBBE 3BA for the first time.

 

The DD description page says that "HDT SMP [is required], one of the below versions. CPBC is not a replacement, but can be used alongside HDT SMP."

 

The CBEE 3BA installer lets you choose which parts of the skeleton are handled by HDT and which parts are handled by CPBC.  I elected to have everything handled by CPBC, mostly for what I hope is reduced performance impact.   I don't think that the HDT requirement quoted above mean that I should have selected HDT for everything?  I think it just means that CPBC will be used for naked bodies and that HDT-SMP will be used for any part of the body that has a DD equipped?  Is that right?

 

BTW, what controls whether an armor uses CPBC or HDT-SMP?  I recall seeing bones and weights in Outfit Studio, but I don't see anything about selecting one physics system over another?

With that mod you can equip said items with the trade window (not any outfit management from mod just normal trade) and you can equip on enemies or non follower npcs  with reverse pickpocket. I found the issue and the solution. It was mentioned on the download page about possible glitches when you have more than 1 device stack for the same type. In essence, if you had 5 blindfolds and try to move and lock 1, there could be a glitch. In my case I had 100s of devices, but only 1 per type. This because I was using a cheat mod to get the the full catalog in my inventory, 1 item each. I though it was ok, but instead, it was a major issue. It was even impacting the stability of the game once I tried to remove one item at the time from my inventory.

 

For a proper testing, I started a new char, I added few DD and move them to an NPC follower, and bag. It does work. I am happy and I learn a lesson on DD.....

I think this mod is great. However, when it was used a few years ago, restrained motion was displayed when a male character wore restraints, but now only female characters are displayed. Is there a way to resolve these symptoms? Of course, devious for him is installed.

hii, i've been trying to install DD but when i install and try to load a save of make a new game, it crash and closes the game, i've been trying to find some way to work but its everything just so confuse to me

So in my game the menu object has correct color but the worn object is wrong color.?

As far as I understand the ArmorAA controls the mesh selected and the alternate color for that mesh.

ScriptInstance alternate color should control the color of the menu object an of course points to the ArmorAA.

Issues are almost guaranteed to be in NIF. I messed up a good amount of them while converting to TBD and them and slowly fixed those later. I can't figure out why one of straitjacket dress meshes has black dress for all colors though.

I was sitting on chastity corsets and small improvements like seperating parts of iron belt clipping into itself. I'll try to fix harness collars befora uploading a new version.

Can anyone help me, please? I'm sorry if this was already solved before. But I'm getting squares like "☐☐☐☐☐"  In all DD items. It affects Item's names, descriptions and all text interactions related to the item (MCM is fine, tho). I got all the requirements and the mod works as intended except for the text thing. Is this an incompatibility issue with "Dear Diary" or something? Help 😄

I use Dear Diary without any issues. This looks like it's a translation to a language with an unsupported font.

I don't remember installing different fonts or anything like that, also my whole game is in English. I'm going to check if I installed fonts in the past, but again, I don't think I did.

@Gameplayer I uploaded a new version but didn't touch harness collars. Harness collar colors work corretly in my game. Values in NIF match ArmorAddon in esm. It is possible I already fixed it before but forgot to add to changelog. If you are talking about inventory preview, I'm not sure but I think there are a few visual errors in DD esm. I'm sure I had some harnesses in preview looking black with CBBE before.

Is there an option to port have base Devious devices have some of the cursed loot items added in? Like the Chastity Belt of Misogny is a great idea, where it's a belt that any male can ignore but basically denies the player being able to masturbate. Or lockable gloves from Cursed Loot that can change between normal gloves and an armbinder

Is there a particular reason you want a port and can't just use DCL? DCL has a very configurable MCM so you can avoid the content you don't want.

You could easily check by disabling "Dear Diary", launching the game and starting a new playthrough then adding a DD through the console and checking if the issue persists. This issue does seem like you have a mod that is trying to translate device names to a non-english language but your game doesn't have font compatibility with those characters, so if you have any mods that are made in another language that require an english patch and have DD as a prereq then I'd say that'd be the culprit

I'm noticing that the Box Binder hides all SlaveTats/RaceMenu overlays on the body. I understand that the Box Binder uses a full body mesh to remove the arms however when comparing the body shape in the nifs (box binder vs my body mesh). They appear to be identical, is there a solution for this? 😮

I have been trying to solve this my self but i cannot seem to find a fix for this, in the iron handcuffs cause a ton of lag when equipped due to smp-hdt issue (i ran smp reset and the lag disappeared until they where activated again). i have been reading the forum but 400+ pages and MANY different versions i don't know what to do, for ref im running SE 1.5.97 and the mod works just the SMP-HDT on this specific devices causing major issues with some quests

Try uninstalling HDT-SMP, then install Faster HDT-SMP:

Would it be possible to get cock cages integrated in the device system? Visually these CC from this mod under is quite good, but it lacks the depth of a proper system related to it.

Additionally, would it not be interesting if the Devious Follower could forbid the player from getting an orgasm? Where punishment and debts would be added for every orgasm the player had? I think this could have the potential to make the minigame a bit more interesting.

it be nice if i could get some help. can't seem to find what the issue. heck it happen for basically all the mod from loverlab for me now. they half work. some thing are invisible, animation are none existant, no voice. yet i followed every step correctly, and installed all dependency.

one day someone should create a "modpack" system for loverlab. less plugging and manual install to do for mod, just one click and all the mods are installed without having to do a bunch of thing (other then build the mesh in bodyslide).

Waabajack has 2 or 3 modpacks with some form of DD sexlab integration I'm running NEFARAM, but I'll warn you it's survival based so if you do not want that you have to spend 10 to 15 min after installation just in MCM to disable the survival aspect, but the mod pack adds nice graphic updates and a solid foundation for DD and sexlab.
