The basics did help - some dude told me the error, it's fixed. But I understand, it won't happen again.

Both "Iron Handcuffs" (037C17) and "Rusty Iron Handcuffs" (03817D) absolutely tank my FPS, from 60 to 6-7. Happens on equip, goes away on unequip, every single time. Should be easy to reproduce.

 

I'm using DD SE 5.2 on 1.6.640.

My SSE keeps CTDing on startup.

I load a game and it shows a splash screen as normal but soon after 1sec or 2 it CTD.

Without it it runs fine.

 

I have SSE 1.6.1130 and have all the requirements for DD.

 

The only conflict vortex reported was with Devious Devices [SE][AE][VR] 5.2.7zDD and ZAZ 8.0 CBBE SE Rev2.7z.

Resolved as Devious Devices [SE][AE][VR] 5.2.7z LOADS AFTER ZAZ 8.0 CBBE SE Rev2.7z

 

I am not sure if DD needs to be updated because of recent version or just doesn't like ZAZ being there.

I only need DD for Petcollar mod

 

How can I track down the cause?

Further to my problem...

 

what is Skyrim SE V1.6.1130? is it AE or SE?

 

The only other thing is the physics, I use CPBC.

Below says CPBC can be used alongside HDT SMP.

Do I need to reinstall CPBC? I seem to recell selecting CPBC and/or HDT SMP when I installed.

I am sure I selected CPBC only.

 

Anyone know what requirements are needed for them to be running side by side?

 

HDT SMP, one of the below versions. CPBC is not a replacement, but can be used alongside HDT SMP. If using AE, Faster HDT SMP is your only option.

You "upgraded" to ver 1130. Problem 1. For clarification, you only need pay attention to your game version, which is 1130. All game versions are SE strictly speaking. AE only adds Creation Club content which you have to purchase. Only concern yourself with the game version.

This version needs call AE version, as SE version difference from AE is C++, so mods what have dll for SE version will not run on AE version and you need install mods AE version.  If mod not have dll, then it will works on both with 99% probability.

Latest Skyrim SE version is 1.5.97.0

Did you install BRRF from somewhere other than the DD installer?

For now, there's a download to use the old XMLs on the troubleshooting post.

 

For the future, install DD NG on top of DD. DD NG will have updates to the SMP chains to make them work better. Or join the DD NG discord to try them out sooner.

I'm having an issue where if I build for DD - 3ba the piercings are inside the body and moves with the physics.

If I build for DD - CBBE SE they are in the right spot but don't move in sync with the body.

 

Can some help me make it so the piercings are in the correct spot and move in sync with the body?

ZAZ is irrelevant. 

 

Install DD NG on top of DD to get the updated DLL. 

Or install one of the old NG DLLs from the troubleshooting post, or the script replacers that remove the need for the DLL, also on the troubleshooting post.

 

Finally, make sure you don't have OTHER DLLs causing problems. For instance, I know that having both an updated DD DLL and an old consoleutils, will cause CTDs because consoleutils is out of date still (consoleutils ng should be good now). Or you might have a problem with engine fixes. You'll have to go through every single DLL to make sure they're all compatible with 1.6.1130.

You must install SMP for the chains, but that won't prevent the mod from working. Most chains will be stiff without SMP installed, some few will cause CTDs when you equip the chains.  If you don't care about physics on chains and don't want SMP, then make sure you build the "NoHDT" version of the chains in bodsylide. That will fix it so the problematic ones don't cause CTDs when equipped. 

 

CBPC is not a replacement for SMP in this case. With 1.6.1130, the only SMP you can use is Faster SMP.

What body are you using? 

If using 3ba, build the 3ba ones. 

If using CBBE, build the CBBE ones. 

 

If you have a UNP based body, you installed the wrong options.
If you're using TBD or some other body, you need to find a conversion for those bodys.

 

For all of them, everything, including the body, must be built to the same preset. And you must make sure your output is going to the right path.

I'm using the CBBE 3BA but when I try to build to that the piercings sink in to the body like the image.

Build just the piercings. What path do they output to?

Did you build the 3ba body itself?

 

Do you have anything overwriting DD, like DD NG?

meshes\devious\devices\piercingNsoul_0.nif and _1Nig

I built the body and it works with the other devices.

 

DD NG is the only thing overwriting it.

I believe this was a problem with DD NG's update of those piercings, but I can't find the comment on discord. 
If you disable DD NG, build the piercings, then enable DD NG again, does it work?

Or alternately, join the DD NG discord and download the latest update from audhol for the piercings.

I believe it's fixed in DD NG, i just don't know if it's in the current release, or if it will be in the next one coming out. 

 

The ones you have now won't have SMP physics, so no swaying while you walk. They'll just move with the breast.

For those that play in VR with VRIK, how do you hide your arms when in an armbinder?  I can equip an armbinder fine but my arms aren't locked into it or invisible and continue to follow my VR controllers and looks really wonky.  I thought my arms were supposed to lock to the armbinder while I use invisible hands to interact with the environment?

Hey all - I recently had to rebuild my machine, so I had to redownload Skyrim AE today - and I think it's the recent release that Bethesda made (that appears to be breaking everything).

It's telling me the version the DLL targets is different from the installed version. Am I doing something wrong? I tried both AE versions in the mod installer and both told me the same thing.
