I did start a new game, and I don't believe anything is overwriting DD. I'll take off JoP and see if that fixes anything.

Just an FYI:

 

I am aware of the new CBBE update that adds more sliders. I have no plans to update DD's CBBE bodyslides until Ousinous has finished adding all the new sliders, which they alluded to doing in a future version.

Hmm, good to know. For now I will refrain from updating to the new CBBE then.

The screenshot below is from his discord. As long as your preset doesn't use the extra sliders, you shouldn't have any issue with morphs and would still get the other goodies. Now if someone makes a preset using the new sliders, that will cause mismatches in shape between the body and outfit. That said, when the next update does release, it will still take me a good amount of time to update all the outfits. Not looking forward to that! :D

I've run in to an issue, DD bound animation are not playing instead its just the games default idle. I run in to this issue before and fixed it by letting DD overwrite ZAZ. it did not work this time. I've tried reinstalling DD, ZAZ and FINS, running bodyslide again, double checking requirements. oh and this is running in vr.

is there a mod or a cheat that removes devices without going through all the ordeal? idc about roleplaying, and i'm playing with male characters and sometimes the devices don't look good or glitch and i want to take them out, i just want to equip and unequip like any other, and the chastity key rarely works

 

nvm I just found the restrains key console command, seems to be doing the job

I seem to be having an issue with all of the rope armbinders. They are all the same color (regular rope is black, red is black, white is black, etc.). My searches haven't brought up any similar issues to find a fix. All of the other rope items seem to be the correct colors as far as I've seen so far. I've tried rebuilding just the rope items in bodyslide but that didn't change anything. What can I do to get the armbinders to be their correct respective colors?

I'm hoping someone could help an idiot who can never keep a stable installation.

 

So I went ahead and officially upgraded to the newest DD. I somehow managed to create a few problems when doing so but I solved all (I think) but one.

 

Ebonite armbinders and elbowbinders are causing my game to go haywire. Only the ebonite ones. Leather ones are fine and other ebonite gear is fine. When I put one on, the screen starts a light show of white light and I can't see anything while the item is supposed to be on screen. Every other item I have tried (so far at least) looks just fine.

The item looks fine in the menu, and it looks fine when I look at it in outfit studio, just not when worn by a character. I have rerun bodyslide to no effect. Does anyone know what could be causing this? @zarantha? Sorry to ping you but you know everything. I'm assuming it's something dumb I'm doing.

 

I really dont want to have to reinstall DD. The uninstall/reinstall process takes a good 40-45 minutes on my PC.

 

Edit: maybe some other insight/clue as to what might be the problem? I was wrong about leather armbinders. They don't cause the visual glitch, but all the leather armbinders look like black armbinders. The screenshot below won't show it but the leather texture also looks slightly different than it normally does. Either way you can see white armbinder equipped but black showing on the character.

i use devious interests, but mostly I just use console commands to give me the devices, so the restrain key work to get rid of them so far. so it's all good

If you are using nemesis too, you can use the unsupported DAR conversion on the troubleshooting post. otherwise, remove nemesis, reinstall DD and FNIS and rerun FNIS.

 

If you don't have nemesis, delete your fnis output folder, make sure your skyrim data folder is clean (delete data and reverify if you have to) and rerun fnis.

If it's still a problem remove all your mods except DD and it's requirements and test on a new game.

Make sure you did not install the old LE mods on top of this one. DD SE 5.2 contains DDa, DDi, DDx, DDc, DD for Him, DD BRRF. If ANY of those are installed separately, remove them.

Are you on DD 5.0 or 5.1?

It's not needed with DD 5.2.

 

If you're asking about the chains in ZAZ, I don't know if ZAZ has been updated with the SMP fixes in that patch. Go ask on that page.

Are you on 3ba? There's a bodyslide patch on the troubleshooting post

Beyond that, make sure you have engine fixes installed and working. it fixes some issues with texture swapping iirc.

I vaugely remember something similar during the beta, but i couldn't reproduce or fixed it. Make sure your racemenu is as up to date as your skyrim version will allow, and bodyslide and outfit studio are up to date. Probably need to make sure FSMP isn't a really old version too. 

 

Try going in and out of first person.

 

If you're on 3ba, make sure you grab the bodyslide patch on the troubleshooting post

 

If it's still a problem, you could try pulling the bodyslide folder out of the old 5.1 archive or early 5.2 beta, install them as a new mod, build the armbinders and elbowbinders, then remove the old bodyslide files from your install once they're built. What changed is there are now zaps for the lacings, and some other oddness from someone redoing the meshes in blender or whereever. But for me, it was just doing some stretching between the hands until the pose was applied, and i don't even see that anymore.

After getting a permission from the author himself @iivanvv, here's a little add-on to the DD to DAR conversion with some new shiny petsuit animations.

 

You still need the main file!

Load the add-on after DD to DAR, or you won't get the updated walking ... ehm, crawling animations, only the new jumping ones.

(or you can just merge the two, it's totally up to you)

Only theoretical fix is: install latest bodyslide mod. I'm not tested it, but seems this is only solution. I can't install latest bodyslide as i will lost all my work. Or if not latest bodyslide, then like as bodyslide, what zarantha have. I don't have know what number of bodyslide have zarantha.

So yeah, this was it. I was using a very old version of bodyslide, one that didnt support the zaps. Upgraded to newest version of bodyslide and the ebonite armbinders work fine. Safe to say if anyone else mentions this problem, this should be the recommended fix.

 

It did not fix the issue of all leather armbinder color variations showing up as black armbinders though. Things showing up as the wrong color crops up in a few other places too, like in the straitjacket catsuits, the straitjacket part is the right color but the catsuit part will always be black. As long as everything works now I'm happy, but if there is any insight as to what I could do about that I'm game.

 

Thanks, the game is back to being playable!

hmm.... not sure this is real problem (i'd say problem is in weighting as old bodyslide not apply new weights, but will check in outfitstudio, if i can fix this by removing zaps).

Well - console commands is like "cheating" - is not forbidden, but then you should also know what the game mechanics are like for the devices used.
(I do it myself for my own roll-play)


So I repeat my advice -> look at the first page of the MCM.

Hello all, thank you for the mod and your hard work! So I 'm having this problem as well, but in reverse - standing still and attacking does not run the armbinder animation in most armbinders including shackles, however boxbinders and straitjackets function properly, and moving with 'weapons drawn' does play the correct arms-behind-back animation.

 

The ZBF armbinder DOES function properly so I am confident in saying the game knows the animation and what is supposed to happen. It also knows to unequip weapons, so the game knows hands are tied, it just won't run the correct animations. Yokes are also broken aside from the ZBF Yoke Metal Black that I tested, as are petsuits. Granted, I have no idea how petsuits should animate, but the model just stands there and walks slowly.

 

The DD function 'enable bound fighting' to get you kicking doesn't appear to influence the animation, it just causes you to not be able to raise your fists.

 

I have tried this with a regular 'armbinder' and with 'ebonite armbinders'; somewhere in the LE thread someone said one should test wit h I have tried reinstalling DD and Sexlab multiple times; i've tried FNISsing before -and- after CBBE. I've run with and without HDT, i've run with large modlist and a small one to no avail.

What am I missing? The troubleshooting is fun, but my ideas have run out and I've been at this for a couple of days now, so please help :')

First one is the straitjacket dress "open" the second one is the topless straitjacket dress. The third one is the straitjacket catsuit, the fourth one is the straitjacket catsuit "open" and the fifth is the straitjacket catsuit topless. I'm sure it's something messed up with my setup and that nobody else is seeing this in particular. I've has this visual issue since the previous release of DD, so this is not new. All the leather armbinders showing up as black is new. That just started when I upgraded from a beta I was running on to the newest official release just today. yes, I reran bodyslide when I upgraded to the newest version.

 

The last picture shows a problem I see with all my straitjackets. There is a gap between where the sleeve meets the body on every one of them. That's also been happening for a while.
