porkybork Posted February 16, 2019 Posted February 16, 2019 Been working on a few edits of my characters for "Cambion's Tale" and, like I said before, I am here to show you all what I've got so far. Did a few minor edits for the series' protagonist, Sebastián, and a few major edits for another main character, Ivy. Old: New: Alt. outfit: I like his new outfits since the colors are more complimentary (orange hair and blue clothes). I'm kinda torn between the jacket and the sweater though, and I'm not sure about the new hair. It looks nice, don't get me wrong, but I'm not sure if it matches his personality. He's meant to be a good kid that gets into a lot of trouble because of how naive he is. The newer hair makes him look kinda like one of those popular middle schoolers you'd see on Tik Tok or Musical.ly or some shit. Old: New: I like the color scheme for her outfit a lot more now. I didn't realize until I started redoing these two how little I thought about the outfit colors. Not sure I like the watermelons on her shirt though. Doesn't seem like she'd wear something with fruit on it. I will have to make a custom swatch for her to have blue hair again, which won't be a huge issue since I already know how to do that. I like her new face a lot more! I was never all that happy with her original design, so I consider this a big upgrade. Might give her a hat to wear so that it reinforces her "overly casual smart-ass" personality and look. Lemme know what you think. These are still technically WIPs, and there're more characters that I need to redo. 2

Speaking of which, I finished up the main trio (A.K.A. the Growing Imps)! Sebastián Amarino: Went back to his old haircut because it suits his character better (thanks @R-Lo for your input), and I recolored the eyebrows so that they're more similar in color to his red hair. Ivy Adams: Made a blue recolor of the hair I used for Ivy, changed the color scheme of her outfit to something more simple and casual, and made a recolor of her shirt with a .png image I found that I thought would match her character. I also gave her a tooth gap cause I thought it looked cute lol. Nicolas O'Connor: Fixed his face up quite a bit and changed his hair from reddish-brown to dirty blonde. Made him a little pudgy as well since Ivy teases him for being "pudgy like a piggy" or something like that in the last "Cambion's Tale" post. This bugged me a lot since he was pretty thin – and, therefore, neither pudgy nor piglike – in the pictures I used. Ya know, internal consistency 'n shit lol. Gave him a completely different outfit as well. I'm pretty happy with the changes I've made. Next, I'll focus on updating Lilith and a couple other characters for upcoming chapters. 2

I am planning to make more sims ( once i know how to make an sexy female lol ) but even then i feel like im good enough...I dont know maybe I'm just overdoing it to fit in with this fun club... I used to use one by TwistedMexican, but that one seems to be old and hasn't been updated, as far as I can tell (so it doesn't work anymore due to the scripting changes). MCC ofcourse works, but only goes up to 25 sims, and I would kind of like to fill a lot with sims for a story I'm doing. Thanks in advance if anyone knows of something.

I can only find the one by twisted mexi too unfortunately, it's not been updated since last year as you say, If you don't have any luck with finding another, it might be worth posting the link in request and find to see if anyone has the knowledge to update it to the new script

They will also have a reason to stay and act like they live there and be good background actors. I have had a few times where they leave after a short time like somebody who came over to hang out but they generally stay until you travel to a new lot. 1

I know there are similar edits by other modders already out there, so I tried to properly update shadow, specular and normal layers too (and some light texture editing/painting) to fully preserve the in-game look... Anyway I wanted more than 25 sims because I'm doing a scene/story with my strip club lot and I like filling out the backgrounds with sims, patrons in this case. Now the problem is that the staff an dancers I have for the club itself already runs to 12 sims, which leaves only 13 patrons, which sounds a little low, but I can probably managed (and if I remove some and add in others from time to time it might give the illusion of being more sims around than is the case). I've done more than 25 before, it won't really do anything at all really if you leave autnomy on, the thing is I'm turning it off and basically just focusing on setting things up for pictures. Interesting, I'll have to check that mod out, even though it's not what I need for this thing as I don't want the sims to go around acting autonomously, which would also take up alot of computing power (also need to keep NPCs away from the lot lol). I'm also going to need some more male sims, does anyone know of anyone on the gallery (or elsewhere) that makes decent ordinary-looking or even below-agerage sims (whatever that means)? 1

At the moment I've at least got my 13 sim patrons readied up by grabbing some from my library and quickly putting together some new ones, some of which turned out pretty good. Just because I haven't begun taking the pictures yet (and because I still need to see how it works with the number of sims I have, and I possibly need to make another 13 sims so it seems like there's more and different people present ?), here's the sims I've currently got done for this story. Patrons, they're about 50% sims I already had made and 50% sims I just made. Club staff, bartenders and front desk workers, bouncers, club dj and owner/manager Dancers 5
mrrakkonn Posted February 18, 2019 Posted February 18, 2019 Got pictures for a first part of the strip club story I'm doing, rest to follow, I think 13 patrons might be enough, might just be a slow night. The story is mostly just a kind of "a day in the life" sort of thing, for my newest sim, Michelle. Don't think captions are necessary. if you want a summary, the story in this first part is basically that she ends up being pretty late for work and gets chewed out by the owner. Spoiler 6
