Abandoner Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 @Mariana Soprano Well it has definitely made me wish the game looked anywhere that good, my sims feel inadequate now 1
erplederp Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 Oh my, what have I started. ? @Julie J Top - Nick, bottom - Nadine, I assume? Middle - their "mix"? @Abandoner The bottom left is my favourite. She looks very real (and stunning). 7 hours ago, mrrakkonn said: And for the heck of it I threw together quick versions of all the ones above where I tweaked some sliders to give them a more realistic look, warning: there's a fair bit of uncanny valley going on in this spoiler. Some of these look quite good to me. I think the flawless smooth skin and incredibly symmetrical features are what triggers the effect. At that level of realism one expects visible skin pores, freckles, wrinkles and other "flaws" (which make people look like people and not like androids/dolls). 7 hours ago, mrrakkonn said: As I said I've started leaning more towards the drawing look, though getting it to look similar in all cases isn't always that easy. True. Depending what image you are starting with one needs to set the sliders differently for a similar look/style... which is mildly disappointing from the mass production stand-point. ? @JMTe Wow, her features carried over quite faithfully, surprised about the hair. @porkybork I like the style of Sebastian's, Ivy's and Nancy's picture. A good job with the simself, the look seems to be there. ? I helped these two in an image editor a little (eyecolor and stuff). Elsa may look younger than she's supposed to be. 10

Yeah, I agree some of them actually look quite good. Selda is probably my favorite, though something about her looks a bit more "next-gen video game" to me than real life, stlll I think it translated her features really well. I also love that my second take on doing Linnie (dropping the hat) came out looking like a mugshot, and she also kind of looks like a real person. 2
Abandoner Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 I'm sorry to keep this going, but I wanted to try once more, properly. I won't be buying any more uploads, so this is definitely the last from me! The original Messed around and got these two really good likenesses. Though it struggled with the hair behind the ear. But this is the final result I'm most happy with, or the most I feel like was my original idea when making the sim. The first one is the most similar to the original image, but this one feels like the sim fully realised. Hell, they all are to be honest. 6

Haha, there's only one way to find out, Mariana! I wonder how well would the AI cope with long haired males though. ? Moving the gender slider from female towards male seemed to remove/shorten the hair (along with changes in the facial structure, of course). 3
mrrakkonn Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 Looks great @Abandoner! And I'm not sorry about keeping it going ? In fact I decided to have a look at how it treats some of my Maxis makeover sims. Don Lothario,Caliente Sisters and Kaylynn Langerak Goth Family (Mortimer, Bella, Cassandra) EDIT: Couple more... Pleasant Family (Daniel, Mary-Sue, Angela, Lilith) Dreamer Family (Darren, Dirk) Broke Family (Brandi, Dustin) 12
mrrakkonn Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 Here's one I didn't post yesterday where I actually think the realistic version came out looking really good, in that, I think at least, she actually looks alot like a real person, and still looks alot like the Sims 4 version (pictured is the pic I uploaded). 9
Julie J Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 Wonderful pics everyone @erplederp The middle one is Nick's twin sister Charlene. Some more from other pics 9
mrrakkonn Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 I think artbreeder Sati turned out pretty cute EDIT: As did Holly Alto I think 8

Hahaha, erplederp ? so I diiiiid - just to feed my curiosity. But to tell the truth, it was just timewasting. I would need to use much lesser created sims. Just for some portraits? I prefered to hunt some more CC and style some new houses and simmies ? If you like, try yourself, if you like this sims better with Artbreeder Spoiler 5
clamman5 Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 Now imagine a game like the sims with an AI driven character creation of this magnitude. That would be revolutionary. 2

mrrakkonn Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 @Mariana Soprano Here you go! I gave him a couple of spins and made some edits. Also because I've uploaded that now, it should be simple enough for any of you to just try further edits without being restricted by the base number of uploads. You just have to access the picture and give it your own spin. https://artbreeder.com/i?k=1c690348402354fd74cb And because it's always interesting to try, here he is with the "uncanny valley" settings cranked up Spoiler I also decided to give Thalia another go, both with and without glasses, with the same pose and angle for both pictures (with and without glasses) and using cross-breed to get roughly the same slider values for both. Found I have to stay off most of the sliders (blue/brown eyes, open eyes, what have you) when editing a picture with glasses. EDIT: Edited myself to a third version, applying some ethnicity sliders (more or less in accordance with her backstory) and a tiny bit of the "chaos slider" (which seems to make a face more or less in accordance with the "default human face" they've got their), counteracting with the glasses slider. Spoiler 10
mrrakkonn Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 And here's the lady @Mariana Soprano. Somehow I think she was a bit harder to get going than the man. https://artbreeder.com/i?k=03ebd7d2716e5b0e1596 Spoiler Uncanny valley version really wants to get rid of her front bang. 9
Juliette Tango Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 Wow! I miss a few nights working on my movie and end up missing a butt-load of cool stuff! @2cool4u_1 Where do I begin! Your stuff is genius! (and not just because of the references to me ?). I loved the posters in Fionas room... PMS, Terminator, etc. As others have mentioned, intensely creative and humorous plot! I should hire you as a writer on my next movie... (of course I don't get paid for this stuff... so your wage may be rather... invisible?) @erplederp Been dabbling in black magic, I see. Artbreeder? I have to check this out, like, right now... immediamente... vamanos! 4

Gorgeous! She has that actress/supermodel look. ? @mrrakkonn Awesome pics. Mary-Sue looks quite nice, with proper Asian features (they seem difficult to get right in CAS for me for some reason). The girl from #6234 and Holly Alto feel very real. Thank you for giving Mariana's pics a go! ? The guy's features translated quite well, I have to say. @Julie J The top version of Nick looks super handsome. ? 4 hours ago, Juliette Tango said: Been dabbling in black magic, I see. Artbreeder? Let us know if you come up with something interesting! Also I am out of likes for today, people. So here goes. ??? Brigitte can be sometimes quite the dirty girl. ? Spoiler She's a mechanical engineer. ? 8
Proje Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 Finally got my game updated to the latest version, but still can't play because of all the broken mods. I know I should be used to this by now, but it really has become such a tiring process. I can only imagine how it must be for the actual modders. 4
Abandoner Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 Took a break from making filth and made something more classy 13

EDIT: A couple of other ones I did (I uploaded whole bunch of my sims lol) Spoiler I'm actually starting to think that the thing doesn't really do that bad with glasses as I first thought, you just have to be a bit careful with the sliders you push or it will fuck up the eyeshape. 11
