I also had this problem. I found that the instructions on the opening page for adding sperm via the console worked. Specifically, as a female PC, I click on the relevant male NPC, open the console and type "bf:Addsperm" without the quotes of course. I opened the Beeing Female MCM, information section, and there sperm was in the right pane, along with the name of the offending party. It's immersion-breaking, but it works. My guess is that the similar instructions for a male PC and female NPC would work too.

 

I'm using Skyrim AE GOG 1.611.79.08, Beeing Female v2.8.2 AE GOG, and Separate Orgasm 2023-01-16.

 

From my Luddite perspective, it seems to me it might be a straightforward patch to fix this conflict between the two mods. Would this be the responsibility of Beeing Female or Separate Orgasms?

I think it could be done by either - that said I am already testing a Beta version of my BF patch that works with SSO which  seems to work OK.

 

The only issue I have not solved is that in scenarios with more than one possible inseminator I'm just picking an eligible actor at random which may or may not be the one inseminating in the actual animation.  AFAIK there's no way to determine which actor is in that position from Sexlab at runtime.

 

If you (or anyone else) wants to give it a test let me know.

I had to look up "SSO," as Skyrim's Strap-ons isn't a mod I use. I don't see its relevance to the SLSO-Beeing Female insemination conflict I've had trouble with. However, I'm familiar with the insemination conflict, so if SSO helps somehow, I'd be happy to download it and help. If you're referring to another problem, it would probably be best if someone already experiencing that problem and using SSO lent a hand.

I installed your patch and tested it several times. It works. After vaginal sex, insemination by the relevant male was recorded in the information section of Beeing Female as it should. I can also say that females with strapons did not result in an insemination record.

 

To be complete, I should say that my load order for the three mods is 1. SexLab Separate Orgasms, 2. Beeing Female 3. your patch. This is the case in both the left and right pane of MO. I should also verify once again that before installing your patch, vaginal sex resulted in no insemination record in Beeing Female's information section.

I noticed that there is a compatibility option for bathing in skyrim, but it does not recognize the updated version Bathing in Skyrim - Renewed (link: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/135288) Wanted to ask if theres any possibility of trying to make them work together? No biggie if your too busy, mostly Im just curious about the possible interactions (and I currently truly have no time to try it myself).

I noticed this as well when I came back to skyrim for the first time in a couple of years. Knowing this mod might be pretty much abandoned, I took it on myself to learn Papyrus. Both understanding how to code with papyrus, as well as compile the scripts. I then proceeded to spend the next 5 or 6 hours learning even more stuff, as well as analyzing the BeeingFemale code 😅.

Regardless, after a bunch of time spent, I managed to get Bathing in Skyrim - Renewed working with BeeingFemale, albeit with a slight couple of bugs. For some reason addon toggling doesn't work 100% as intended, so disabling or enabling it from the menu requires a restart for it to full take effect.

 

When installing make sure to load this patch after beeingfemale, as well as make sure to have bathing in skyrim load before beeingfemale to avoid any issues. This patch is intended for SE 1.5.97, so it might not work well on AE.

Also slight note, I've noticied that the original code included a section for increasing chances to fully wash out sperm when soap is used. I've included that as well. The chance increase was 20%, which to me seems a bit high, but thats what the original included.

I've added now an optional patch that allows you to select 1 out of 4 options (0% - 15%) how much you want soap to increase the sperm wash out chance.
Install this after installing the original patch. Make sure it overwrites any files from both beeingfemale and the original patch.

The first patch (non soap one) is mandatory, the 2nd one is optional. Only install the 2nd patch if you feel like 20% extra wash out chance when using soap seems like too much.

Currently I have this strange issue where NPC cycle stages don't advance.

The follicular phase is set to 12 days and for every NPC I checked its way over the threshold - 24 days and more.

Any idea how to fix this?

My Skyrim version is AE 1170.

For the install I've used the file from the downloads page.

Is there a fix floating around in the comments section by any chance?

I already fiddled around with Ocum.esp letting it load before and after npc-mods...but no effect.

I have tried various timings for how often to take it (daily, every 2 days, ~4 days when the reminder shows) and nothing seems to work. As long as the "contraception possible this cycle" is set to "yes", you will get pregnant, usually during ovulation, regardless of contraception level or how often you take it.

 

Every. Single. Time.

It works by consuming contraception potions regularly until these have built up a proper protection value. You can check the protection value and when it is time for the next potion under the "information" tab in mcm....should be every 48 hours. 

Have you checked your settings for pregnancy chance? ...if this is set too high contraception might not work. The base setting of 40 % works flawlessly with contraceptives.

Base chance is 40%, but that only affects the "can get pregnant this cycle" setting, which only applies at the start of each cycle. If that status is "off", no matter what you will not get pregnant, if that stats is "on", then you can get pregnant. 

 

As for contraception, it is at max (98%), and I have tried taking it at various times in between (daily, 48 hours, 4 days, waiting until contraception starts to reduce ~5 days) as the book / mod description suggests if you take it too close together it actually reduces effectiveness.

 

No matter what I do, with contraception at 98%, and "pregnancy possible this cycle", I get pregnant, so contraception is having NO effect at all, in my game.

 

When checking the status with the widgets, the conception chance widget never goes above 2% with contraception at 98%.

Well, then my game might be weird...my chars have "bad" cycles with a max. of ~18% conc. chance and "good" cycles with up to 98% conc. chance right before ovulation. I never experienced a cycle with zero chance...neither with BF LE nor with BF SE....and yes, in rare cases chars got pregnant even with very low percentages but not always.

So in general contraception seems to work for you since it lowers the conc. chance correctly...then there must be something forcing pregnancies in your game.

 

Have you checked the impregnation settings for pc/npc? If these are okay it must be either a conflicting mod or a broken BF-installation.

 

There is nothing forcing a pregnancy, the only thing other mods, or settings in BF might do, is cause an insemination (semen) without needing something like sexlab, but that is only semen, not instant pregnancy. All of that is disabled in BF and other mods, only using sexlab to cause an insemination.

 

I have watched it go from ovulation to the next stage just standing there letting time pass, and it goes from ovulation to pregnant instead of luteal, as long as there has been some semen recently.

 

I guess my point is that everything looks like contraception should be working, from a UI stand point, taking it regularly, etc, but I still get pregnant every single time. I was hoping someone had used contraception and never got pregnant or very rarely did. Or someone with a more in-depth knowledge of the inner workings of the scripts or such could provide insight on why it does not seem to be working.

This I can confirm at least. Taking contraceptives regularly -> no pregnancy ever...so it works for others.

Maybe the problem is the cycle duration, I have it set to the minimum for each stage, so 2 days for each stage of the cycle for an ~8 day cycle, what are your settings?

 

Also how often does your character get inseminated, every day? less often? more?

 

Or, which "strength" of pills do you use, low, medium, high? I have been using low once at max contraception, but... maybe that means it is of "low" effectiveness?

Oh yes, that could indeed be a problem...I remember having read a lot about people having problems with too short cycles. Other preg mods like FertilityMode have issues with that too.

 

- I always play with a 30 Day cycle and zero chance for irregularities (Folli: 12, Ovu: 2, Luteal: 12, Menstr: 4)

- from point of insemination there is definitely always something since I set males too always be virile and sperm duration to 4 days

- strength of potions does not matter much...low potions raise the protection value slower but they do the same thing...I use the stronger ones to build up the protection value faster and the cheaper low potions to keep the protection value at max. And that has always worked reliably even when playing a courtesan.

Glad its working for you! (at least in a limited way...)

In my latest run I tried to play on AE and there it is working for me with the wenches mods Yuriana but also follower mods like Minerva. I hadn't encountered any mod npcs it isnt working for so far. 

 

You just have to make sure, that my patch is overwriting the files of OCum Ascended.
