SexLab SE - Sex Animation Framework v1.66b - 01/18/2024

Don't know if I did something wrong or not but when I try to load into my game it talks about sexlab utility.ddl, but it's in the right place and it also doesn't let me press the install button it just doesn't  do anything when I press it.

Hi, new here so sorry if this is the wrong place or the wrong format.

Im having trouble with step 5 in the installation instructions. Ive downloaded and installed SKSE, the address library, FNIS, SkyUI, and the XPMSSE, and theyre all installed in nexus, and Ive double checked theyre all the correct versions. When I run the tool to Generate FNIS behaviors, the instructions say it should say "Readling sexlab" and that if it doesnt, youve messed up. Well, for me it says "Reading FNISBase V7.6"

 

Ive read and re-read the installation instructions ten times over and I cant see what ive done wrong. Can anyone help me?

Without any details on which versions of what you are running, my best guess is that you are running FNIS from your mod manager's Staging Folder instead of from its virtual location in your game directory structure.

 

For example, in my game, the actual GenerateFNISforUsers.exe is in Vortex's Staging folder-

G:\Games\Vortex Staging\Skyrim Special Edition\FNIS Behavior SE 7_6-3038-7-6-1582048023\tools\GenerateFNIS_for_Users\GenerateFNISforUsers.exe

However, both shortcuts I use to run FNIS specify its game folder virtual location (which is a hardlink, not the actual file)-

G:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data\tools\GenerateFNIS_for_Users\GenerateFNISforUsers.exe

 

If I were to screw up and run the yellow one instead of the green one, I would get the result you are getting.

Ah! Yes, thank you, that was it.  When I ran it from the correct location, it read Sexlab and said it generated the animations.

However, now Im having another issue; When I load up skyrim and go into Mod configuration, Sexlab is there, but none of the things listed under "prerequisite check" are lit up. Even SKSE is not lit up, but I know for sure that SKSE is working, because SkyUI is working, and SkyUI requires SKSE.

Also for further information, Im running Skyrim special edition on steam, whatever the lastest version is because I just did a fresh download and install yesterday. I have SKSE 2.1.5, XMPSSE 4.80.0, SkyUI 5.2.0, Sexlab framework SE_v163.7z, Racemenu Anniversary Edition 0.4.19, FNIS 7.6.0, and All in one (special edition) 2.0.0

I have some other sexlab mods downloaded but I havent enabled them yet, because I havent been able to even get the framework working yet. Please advise.

You don't have to wait the full time with matchmaker. If the spell gets cast twice on somebody, the timer to select people is instantly ended and the scene starts right away.

Check the numbers of your Skyrim version. Stream did the update without ask you.

So I just ran into the "teleport to the center of the map" bug for a third time with Sexlab when a scene starts. However, I'm getting a CTD when I try the "Rebuild and Clean" method to fix it. It worked previously just fine, followed all the proper steps  I used before however this time when I attempt to rebuild and clean as soon as it gets through all the dialog and pops the "sexlab is ready" message I get an immediate CTD.

 

NetScriptFramework list these two items as sus but I have no idea what they're related to as the two mods I get when I search "skyrim quiver CA0FAB12" turns up two mods I'm not using.

Instead of rebuild the SexLab that is useless in this case, better try enabling the "Ragdoll at the end" option in the SexLab MCM.

 

The current SexLab versions come with fixes for that and that option seems to make them more effective.

Though I can  not check your  mod versions about all your installed plug in or runtime etc..

 

but 2.1.5 SKSE never work for pre AE runtime,,  (eg skyrim 1.5.97)  it should be for AE vearsion. at same time 1.63 is for Pre AE version. so you use wrong version .

I have skyrim special edition, not Anniversary edition, (SE was on sale on steam, AE was not, so I got SE) so 163.7 is the correct sexlab framework. If SKSE 2.1.5 isnt the right version of SKSE for Skyrim Special edition, what version is? The download page doesnt specify which one is right for SE. It only says "If you are using the latest version on Steam, download the AE build." And I am indeed using the latest version on steam (just downloaded it two days ago) and I did indeed download the AE build like it said.

EDIT: Ok, I think I just figured something out.

Even though what I BOUGHT was Special edition, I somehow just... have Anniversary edition anyway? I went into the steam folder, right clicked on SkyrimSE.exe, clicked Properties, and then Details, and under "Product version" it says 1.6.353... which is the Anniversary edition. And yet the file itself SAYS Its special edition??

IDK what happened buy somehow buying special edition actually gave me anniversary edition, I guess? So now I gotta re-do everything using the mod versions meant for anniversary edition... which I dont have but do have anyway.

What you have probably missed is that Steam have updated ALL users of Skyrim Special Edition to version 1.6.x of the executable.

 

Anniversary edition means two things :-

1) The new release of the exe that everyone has unless you manually downgrade back to 1.5.97 (there are a few ways, google it if you want to)

2) The completely optional paid-for DLC that you may or may not have purchased (not, in your case, from what you have said).

 

So, unless you have used a patch to downgrade, or restored a backup, or used depotdownloaded to change version, you do have the Anniversary Edition executables, which is what matters for mod compatability.

 

So your SKSE at 2.1.5 is correct (if it wasn't the game would not even start up). and you have chosen the wrong version of SL - you need v164c.

So I do not think we have clear  naming rule (officially recommend), about AE ,  SE (non AE item installed) or "pre AE version SE",, ^^;

 

then I usually recommend,,  when user need help,, may better clear describe " skyrim.exe version you palying..as version number.. "

about your case, so you seems already up-date your SE runtime, >> then you need to isntall SKSE for AE version >> you need to install sexlab v164c  (it is for AE/updated SE)

 

Then I may recommend if you are new user, who first bought Skyrim SE and  install newest SE version,, you may better not plan to use old version....

 

Though as my private gaming with mods,, I keep to use old runtime SE (so I reject steam up-date when AE released, then keep my runtime as 1.5.97) just to keep stability..

but if I am new SE user,, Try to use old version, may  make things more difficult I suppose... 

 

on the ohter hand, if you have played mods long time with SE,, you know how each version change effect for SKSE, and mods, so about those ,, it depend each user..

About me I just keep 1.5.97 ,so I know which version mod need for 1.5.97 and which SKSE I need to use... (so I do not up-date SKSE too,

Only if you still think that you have Skyrim SE instead of AE

 

The Skyrim v1.6.353 is Skyrim AE and you need the SexLab v1.64 for AE in that case.

So, Ive figured out that I have skyrim 1.6.353, so SKSE 2.1.5 would indeed be the correct version, but then I noticed that it said on the SKSE page that, apparently, none of the versions above 2.1.* are functional, and you need to downgreade skyrim to 1.5.97

I downloaded the skyrim downgrader, logged in successfully and all that, but upon trying to download, I get the following error message in the log:

Hi, maybe this is stupid question, but english not my native language, so I can't understand. If I install this mod, it give me adult content in game, or it's just for creating mods? And if only for creating, can you name, or drop link to good mods for AE

and where SKSE page you checked?   (you happend to get old link page etc?)

, you see "Current Aniversary Edition build 2.1.5 (game version 1.6.353): Download 7z File" 

 

so you could download the SKSE 2.1.5, for runtime 1.6.353,   then you should  download Sexlab v 1.64C (for AE ) 

though I still not up-date runtime.. then can not confirm,, if it work or not. 

 

if you use downgrade patcher,, you must need to ues SKSE 2.0.17 to 2.020 (edit)  and Sexlab V 1.63 (For old SE)

When you see "framework" in terms of software, it means it's to help other people make things. With just Sexlab installed, you won't see any adult content because there's nothing to trigger it.

 

Sexlab Index SE has brief descriptions of tons of mods that use Sexlab to add adult content; there's too much variety in what adult content that people want to give better suggestions than that without knowing your tastes.

I have Papyrus SE installed and Sexlab keeps saying it's outdated.

 

Edit: Nevermind just saw Sexlab includes it.
