Oh shit WTF Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 I've installed the mod but found out that the mod doesn't detect the water in bath locations which are added by the house mod "Elysium Estate" which I live now, so I have to go to inn in Whiterun just to wash my feet and nothing else. I wanna uninstall it due to the issue till this mod becomes compatible with Elysium Estate, but I don't know how. I use MO2 and have tried uninstalling it, but when I do, the PC's feet texture gets missing and her feet becomes purple. Any suggestions?
Nymra Posted June 28, 2019 Posted June 28, 2019 Will this mod see an update? I still have problems with compatiblity because Barefoot stagger seems to happen when standing still, too. This breaks all kind of animations, especially poses and zap furnitures (character breaks out). in Sexlab Scenes I suspect Barefoot realism to break my free camera, but I have to check on that (sexlab animations seem to be the only thing where stagger is not happening). I currently tried to set walk and sneak stagger set to zero to prevent it from happening when stationary. But testing hast just started and it would still mean that the mod will be not useable in my current playthrough (apart from dirtyness) because I play Slaverun and slaves dont run

Change barefoot tattoo by default.
Barefoot Thief Posted October 18, 2019 Posted October 18, 2019 I liked this mod. But for some reason, the dirt on my legs does not work, it simply is not visible visually there at all, although I have installed all the necessary modifications on the list. Tell me why dirty heels are not visible on my barefoot hero in the game? ^^

And make sure you're using a feet model that is compatible with the dirty textures. Btw, your username is cool. That guy was impressive.

Ah I see, it's probably not easy living with the cold Russian weather. I'm Brazilian so it never gets too cold around here. Depends on which feet model the heels are using. I use one called "Mytles", the dirty texture works fine with these. Now if you are taking about the heels themselves and not the feet, then there is no problem because you ONLY get the dirty textures on your feet, not on the shoes you're wearing. It's probably a limitation of this mod.
Barefoot Thief Posted October 22, 2019 Posted October 22, 2019 Okay. I'll try to figure it out somehow at my leisure. It’s a pity that in this game it’s not like in life. He took off his shoes, you go barefoot on the ground - your feet become dirty. It would seem that what is difficult in this? So no, you need to install a whole bunch of plug-ins for this, so that it looks realistic in the game, and it's not a fact that everything will work fine later ... When will the games already make life-like ones? At least such simple things ...
Nymra Posted November 8, 2019 Posted November 8, 2019 Hey Is there a way to set Stagger chance to 0%? I am honest, this mod is awesome and a must have in my LO, but for some reason the stagger also happens when my PC is stationary sometimes and that breaks a whole lot of things. (especially free of ZAP furnitures) I think the slow down and dirt is a perfect solution already, the stagger is just too much on top sometimes. I believe the stagger exponent can be changed, but not in away that sets the stagger to 0% chance. In which way I have to change the exponent to make the stagger chance extremly low? Yeah, I suck at math, dont even try to explain the formula to me, just say set it higher or lower please

Did you try using SlaveTats mod to manually remove the feet dirt texture. Both when Barefoot realism is installed and when you uninstall it? You could also do this in race menu.
Nymra Posted December 14, 2019 Posted December 14, 2019 Ok, so no support anymore, no updates and no feedback I feel like its time to let go of this mod sadly. Some of it functions are now covered by mods like Sexlab disparity anyway. I see this mod nonstop in my papyrus logs, but I dont know what that means. How heavy is the script load of this? Anybody with more knowlegde can shed some light on this matter? Main issue for me is still the lack of customization (even with tons of MCM options present), like disabling stagger alltogether. The last cool feature of this mod that I like is the application of dirt texture to the feet. This is done by Bathing in Skyrim also, but not in the same way.

WhatRules Posted April 16, 2020 Posted April 16, 2020 This mod is a real fps stealer. It runs several scripts even if you have boots on. Please fix it. I have to uninstall for now because my fps in cites goes down to 10-15. How do I know this mod is responsible? By checking active scripts in Resaver. It wasn't the only mod running scripts but the ones from this mod took around 20 fps.

Use Sexlab Disparity it can do the same but better and with more options (at as far as I can see with DD support). You just have to make the settings yourself (Worn Items -> Barefoot -> free reign for your desires) I have a 50% movement penalty when barefoot + all the fall down and stumble chances. Its actually way better than barefoot realism which just uses stagger. You can set a progression for the penalties increasing when u are barefoot for a longer period. No detection of different surfaces tho, but I think that is overkill anyway. 1

Whacked Posted March 16, 2021 Posted March 16, 2021 Necroing this, I have not had any trouble running this in SE. Works as described, and you can adjust most of the annoyance out if you want to. I only wanted it for the dirt, but I find I don't mind the stagger every now and then. I did turn down the level of the stagger sound, it was a bit too loud, scared me a few times ? Thanks to the MIA author for sharing! 1
Dameth Posted April 11, 2021 Posted April 11, 2021 I confirm it works on SE, I'm using it in my current run. Just used slavetats SE version. Vortex of course shows the error that the plugin is for another game (suggesting Skyrim LE or Fallout 4) but I'm just ignoring. MCM shows and you can configure as in LE. At the moment I had no specific conflict or CTD or whatever. It has no conflicts with "dirt & blood" (just the wash menu are separated so washing your body doesn't clean your feet and you need to clean them in water, despite sometimes water is not detected, but this was happening already in LE so I don't think it's related to the use in SE) and works fine if you use "graves and legwraps SE" and "Barefoot Footstep Extended SE" (to generate different barefoot step sound depending on the surface material). It also seems to have no conflicts with "ZMDs Feet and Nail Overalys" or "Skin Feature Overlay". Just for info I'm using "RPs Healthy Female Feet Replacer SSE" as foot mesh model. If there is any sort of conflict then I didn't discover yet. This mod seems also to be much more stable on SE than LE (but maybe it's because I have RTX2080ti GPU so I have no specific concerns in configuring fps and details...), anyway discovering this mod "perfectly" works makes me think it may be easily ported to SE, so don't know why an official conversion still doesn't exist... 1
Whacked Posted May 15, 2021 Posted May 15, 2021 I think I tried converting the esp, but there were issues, some mods just don't like the conversion. Take MiniNeedsSSE, resaving in the CK removes a bunch of information from the esp, and it doesn't work right. I enjoyed using this on SE, and never had any crashes because of it. It goes well with dirt and blood, which covers part of the foot in dirt too. My experience was about level 40 it started causing stuttering, well hitches where the framerate drops from 60 to 54 or 47 regularly and gets annoying. By the authors own admission it is very script heavy as it's firing every second to figure out the surface. I'm not skilled enough, but something like this that uses the same code that the game uses to determine surfaces for the footstep sounds might work well, and not be so heavy. Also maybe use the footstep sound associated with the footwear to determine if it is barefoot or not. I made some bodyslides for Leather Sandals that go with this well, just add them as the exception. It shouldn't be hard to change them to your foot model if you wanted to. Check Them Out Here I still use the Slavetats dirt tattoos, just manually applied :(.

I could never get it to not mess something up either gameplay or scriptwise. After some stackdumps I finally got rid of it. I would try any new version, tho, while the only benefit it has over sexlab disparity is the foot dirt application. disparity has more options tho, at least when you do not care for the superdetailed underground detection.
