No, this can not be called scam, it is an ordinary lottery. You play this lottery, knowing the rules and you are able to assess your chances of winning.

This game can be called fraud only when it is proved that victory is not determined by chance and someone deliberately takes money from you, deceives you and does not follow the rules of this lottery game.

Just because they say it in their rules doesnt make it right!

They could write that they are allowed to kill your mom when accepting their rules, doesnt make it legal!. There are several causes where the TOS for software was not binding to the users because what they demanded was against consumer laws. Just look at EA and their star wars game. Luring people with a very popular franchise to spend on it way overprize lootboxes was declared gambling and some countries banned that game because of these methods of cash grabbing.

As long as the pices are so incredible high, I call that a scam! Because you can spend A LOT of real money into this game and dont have any value in return. No cotsume, no increase chances, no improvements. With this amount of money I call that scam. With a lottery you have at least a chance of winning that money back. Here you get one digital item you cant even resell, and which still would belong to TN entirely.

 

Sure you dont HAVE to buy with real money... but thats the thing with humans: if you like something, you want something. And some people cant handle their finacials, so they spend their entire money in hopes they get that digital item.

And thats my point: These days companies are trying to hook people on their franchise and try to sell stuff. That is totally ok! But they have to be in reason with their pricing!

There has to be a fair balance between the content and its value! And I just can say it again: It's digital content! Without any efford or restrictions, TN can multiply that content. So spread that content to everyone, by lowering the prices drastically for gacha and co so everyone will and can buy it, instead of raising it so high that nearly no one can buy it without getting his existance threatened.

There is no doubt that Gacha=lootboxes is a problem globally.


However, as of now, the actions of TeamNinja are not illegal under Japanese law, we need to change from law first.
Gacha regulation that began in Europe and the United States, the Japanese government has begun discussion (9.28.2018), but it will take a lot of time to resolve.

 

Japan's law revision requires more time than other countries.

 Hey Knight, For this mate, I take my virtual  hat (and real  one too, if I had one) off to you in respect for your perspective and wisdom. I agree with what you say. What TN are doing, maybe accepted by law, but isn't agreeable on humanitarian grounds. 

 

It's unfortunate that they have laws that make this exploiting of weakness legal. I'm sure they made the laws in that special ways.

 

I personally maybe not one of those who can and will pay for stupid games like this, but this greedy perspective of game developers isn't encouraging or viable.  There's no consideration towards any kind of gamer, paid or free play....only on the money paid by them

 

We can't either develop own games using extracted content, due to copyrights and all that stuff.

 

Best thing we can do is, maybe, form communities like this, make it at-least a little worthwhile (like with all these mods) and raise awareness to dispel this greedy exploiting of weaknesses

Maybe we should organize a strike of the gamers?in protest we could not play 1-2 days. they will face financial losses and limit their appetites.

I am not saying we should screw this game. I just telling the facts and listing alternatives to it.

 

But a good idea might be the direct support contact form. Hopefully a big international company like TN can read english.

@uwaraba - You need to enable Fingernail mesh replacements in the d3dx.ini.

 

You'll need to add the following orange lines to your d3dx.ini file:

So i decide to spend everthing to get a Xmas out fit cause it looks really nice. the 0/6 had me thinking i would get at least 1 at 6, but nooooo, its only for paid wtf man. So i just empty my hearts and of course i get Kasumi...i hate her Kokoro and Ayane(to a lesser extent). FFS its always Kasumi fml man. 8 Pulls all i get is Kasumi.

 

I geuss this is what i get for getting both SSR Helena and Luna's recent outfits from the free dailies. (Both char. were already unlocked)

This is incorrect in every way.  They do give trend bonus, and seeing how I got Honoka and Kokoro's they are not impossible to get.  But yeah this event is pretty shitty.  The guaranteed SSR is only if you use 5k paid vstones AFTER you dump 30k vstones getting the gacha chain to 6 of 6.  I threw 5k vstones at the old SR just to see if I could get the red santa costume for Honoka, I ended up getting stock SSR Hitomi and SR honoka santa lol so that paid off some how.  Though I do not recommend doing that unless you have to many vstones and realllllly want those old SR visuals/traits.

 

We get 0 red tickets this week and we cant spend any red tickets on anything either.  No 3.3% event on xmas and if you want guaranteed SSR you have to pay shit load of money, they kinda poked their customers in the eye this week.

well, shitty event with expensive costumes that are tied to only a few weeks of the whole year. Im passing this one..
